"Wow! You are so good at this. How can you ditch out on me again and why do you always use the excuse of stealing my limelight to ditch out on me? You know that will never happen but you always intentionally say it to make me feel guilty," Stephanie said pretending to be angry. "You know that is not fair right?" Stephanie added, avoiding looking at Gabrielle to show how unhappy she was about her decision.
"This particular one is not intentional. My mum and dad deliberately arranged my first official meeting with a client in San Francisco on the same day and same hour with our launching event. I have no choice but to obey them to save my company," Gabrielle explained. "Do you now understand why I always say that my parents are my nemesis in this lifetime?" Gabrielle questioned. Working in her family's company was the thing she loathed the most and her parents knew this that's why her parents always used her company to threatened her. She always fought back fiercely during such discussion but she always ends up losing whenever her company was brought up.
"If you say that about your parents. What should I say about mine who is bent on making me lose my mind with her never-ending text messages and calls? Yours is even better because they want the best for you but mine wants my downfall. In fact, I am sure a drop of tears will not fall from her eyes if I drop dead in front of her," Stephanie interjected trying to tell her that her situation was one thousand times better than hers.
"Whoa... You don't need to explain. I bet she is making life hellish for you for her cruel daughter's sake as she has always done. Is it compulsory that b*tch must attend every social gathering you attend?" Gabrielle asked angrily.
"Isn't sleeping around with wealthy men enough for her to gain all the fame she needs so why the hell are they still bothering you?" Gabrielle continues fuming. She was so fed up with mother and daughter's cruelty towards her best friend. She always has imagined the hell Stephanie must have gone through when she was a little girl.
"Don't swear at them besides I didn't tell you this to make you upset," Stephanie coaxed.
"Yeah, I know that but they are treating you way too mean which is not fair. They should be grateful that despite every despicable thing they did to you in your childhood you still take them as family," Gabrielle said getting agitated. The moment she finished speaking Stephanie's phone rang. Gabrielle told her not to answer the call when she saw the caller ID but Stephanie still went ahead to answer the line.
"Hi, Vicky," Stephanie said sounding very neutral.
"You looked so ugly TV despite all the make up you applied to cover up your ugliness. I still look way better than you even with that artificial face of yours," Victoria said meanly. If there is one thing which has not changed in this 29 years old lady since childhood; it is her nasty temper. Despite being a TV Presenter she was not satisfied with it. She always wants whatever Stephanie has.
"Hearing you say this I bet you must have watched my show so I will take that as a compliment, Sis," Stephanie said just to piss her off. She knows the perfect way to deal with her sister.
"Why the hell did you do the damn show? You should have just given me the script then I would have presented it way better than you. By now everyone would have looked forward to the launching if I was the one who did the show," Victoria praised herself smiling. "And why the f*ck did you mention that step-brother of yours' name? You should I have said that my beautiful face inspired you to create the cosmetics. I need the popularity more than he does, why waste it on a useless person like him?" Vicky stated angrily. She fantasies everyone staring at her on the day of the launching if Stephanie had mentioned her name as the sole reason why she created the products.
"Vicky, just a pointer everything I said on the show was not from a script but my honest answer and why should I have made you do the show when everyone thinks that all your shows suck? Maybe I would have thought about letting you be on the show if you were one of my employees but too bad you are not. Even my secretary said the show would have been a total failure if you had done it so tell me why should I have taken such risk for your sake?" Stephanie asked smiling. She wished her sister was there, then she would have given her a double dose of the insult she wanted to rain on her.
"And if you want to know how the public perceives the show then check the internet that is if you haven't done so. According to what my secretary said about an hour ago, I learned that the show has over 5 million likes within just an hour of it being broadcasted. I wonder how many more views and likes it will get before the day of the launch reaches? And one more thing Vicky, watch what you say about Cliff if you don't want me to expose your ugly bloodline to the press," Stephanie said just to spite her even more.
"What did you just say?" Victoria asked standing up to her feet startling her assistant who was sitting down beside her.
"I was just answering your question. Is there a problem with that, Vicky?" Stephanie asked saying the Vicky in a mocking manner.
"You silly girl. I can now see how gutsy you have become. I have let you experience trouble-free days for a long time that is why you have forgotten who you are speaking with," Victoria threatened coldly. Gabrielle who was quietly listening to their conversation rolled her eyes when she heard Victoria's remark.
"Why haven't you been answering mum's call and why the heck did you not send the invitation card to me as mum ordered you to do?" Victoria asked when Stephanie kept silence on her. To Stephanie she was just ranting, she could not wait for her to end her ridiculous call.
"Oops! I completely forgot about it and now all the invitation cards have been distributed," Stephanie faked a pitiful toned. Gabrielle almost burst out laughing when she saw the evil smirk on Stephanie's face.
