Chapter 2 - A New Friend [Chapter Two]

So, uh, yeah, I guess I kinda got to be a superhero now. I'm not stupid enough to let people know it! I make her comic books, and, as a coverup, I tell everyone that we're supposed 'best friends'. I know someone is gonna figure it out someday, but I don't think anytime soon. Although, I prefer calling my, uh, secret identity, their and they. Nobody knows if Sayonara is a girl or boy, because nobody has seen her under the mask expect for me. Everybody assumes she's a boy, since most superheroes are rich, grown up men with expensive suits and stuff. I just found this secret base in my run-down, cheap apartment. But, thank god, school is out for summer! Now, what to wear? ...The only clothes I have is my school uniform from the Euricha Center. That's fine! I ate some breakfast, and headed out. As I walked along the sidewalk, looking down, tweaking with some of my superhero gloves, I bumped into somebody. "Oh, I'm so so sorry! Are you okay?" I asked in concern. The boy looked up, his book on the ground and his glasses a little messed up, a small, tiny crack in his right frame. Wait, I know this guy! This boy was Marko Alpunty! He used to bully me all the time at the Euricha Center, but then he got his glasses and never really bullied me again. Occasionally he flips me off, but that was it. He looked up into my eyes. "I'm fine, bitch." He picked up his book and straightened his glasses, and went on with his day. "Sir, can I do anything that'll make you less mad?" I asked, as he stopped in his tracks. "Well, you could get me a cup of coffee, a Starbucks mocha frappé." he answered. I nodded, and went to the nearest Starbucks. The store cashier was playing music on his phone, with his earbuds in. He took his ear buds off and groaned. "Welcome to Shit-bucks. What the fuck do you want?" He said. "One mocha frappé, please." I told him. "Ok, whatever, want whipped cream?" I shook my head. He made the frappé as I waited. He put it on the counter. "That'll be 10 ruio's please." What's ruio's, you ask? Ruio's are our currency here in Rocitida. One United States dollar is as much as one hundred ruio's. So, when you pay 12 dollars and 92 cents on your next drink at your American Starbucks, just know you're spending 2,120 ruio's. I gave him his ruio's. I took the drink and went back to where Marko was. "Here you go." I said, as I handed the frappé to him. He muttered something as he took it and sipped it. "What's that? I couldn't hear you." I told him. "Thank you." He said. I smiled. "You're welcome." We just stood there for a while, it was awkward. "I'm gonna go back to my apartment, you can have a nice day, Marko." I said, as I waved to him. For the first actual time, he waved back. I smiled, heading back to the apartment.

Just as I was about to enter my apartment, it was slammed shut. Ugh, this guy. The person was this guy named Bruno Poritdoas. He always asked me to do these strange requests for him in his apartment, which was less organized and a lot more messy than mine. "What do you want, Mister Poritdoas?" I asked. "You know what I want." He told me as he looked me in the eyes, licking his lips. "Not today, sir. I'm busy making my Sayonara comics."  I said. "No, you're com-" I stopped him by punching him in the face. "I said, I'm busy." At my apartment building, I wasn't afraid of showing my strong side to my neighbors, especially to Bruno. I unlocked my door, then locked it back when I entered. I entered the base and walked to the super suit display. "Well, time for my nightly search." I said, pushing a button and opening the plexiglass display case. I slipped on my suit, and used a secret exit in the base to immediately get to the entrance of the apartment building. I landed on my feet on the sidewalk. I then climbed up to the top of the building. I viewed the city during the beautiful sunset. Just then, my activity finder beeped. "Looks like some stuff is going down at the docks, better get there." I ran toward my destination. "Get away, I said I don't have the money yet!" I knew that voice...Marko! I looked down from a yellow crane by the shipyard. It was a man in a black suit, with his two bodyguards capturing Marko, and he was trying to defend himself as best as he could. "Anybody who doesn't give me my shit, they get fucked up." I flew down, dropkicking the bodyguard closest to Marko. "Fuck, he found us!" The surviving bodyguard said. "Well, Get here you fucking idiot!" The boss yelled at him. The bodyguard went to grab for me, but I slide under him, spun around, and punched him with my super strength gloves in the back of his head. I heard a crack. Oof, I must of broke his skull. "Sorry, but you shouldn't mess with Sayonara!" I said in a deeper voice to sound like a man. I looked at Marko. "You Okay, Kiddo?" I asked him. "I'm fine, now that you're here." Marko said. The black suit guy had already left. I noticed there was a girl, the same age as me, in a blue sparkly dress and green heels. I turned back to Marko and lead him out of the docks. "Hm..." I got home, got into my pajama's, and went to my bedroom. I can investigate tomorrow. I thought. Sayonara doesn't save the day always in one single night. But now, Now is the time for the sleep to consume me. And I fell fast asleep.
