The only way for you to win is to give your all. At least that's what Angelique's dad always told her. And she had won, she got her revenge, but was it worth it?
It wasn't.
She knew it wasn't yet, the feeling of getting revenge brings her comfort, happiness even.
And that, alone, was scary.
So here she was, on her bed, reminiscing about sweet, sweet revenge.
Oh, how she loved feeling what she felt when she watched Kaiden get dragged away, it was, to say, beautiful.
A smile appeared on her face as she thought about it. A small, evil smile. Others would mistake it as a lovestruck one.
Maybe it is. Maybe she enjoyed the feeling so much that she fell in love with it. Maybe she wanted more.
A knock on her door pushed her out of her thoughts.
"Angelique?" Dominique called.
"Come in," She watched as Dominique walked in her room with slow, uneasy steps. "What's wrong?"
He shook his head, "Nothing."
Angelique raised her perfectly sculpted eyebrow in response.
Dominique sighed, "I feel guilty."
She scoffed and he looked at her in confusion.
"That's it? You feel guilty?"
Dominique nodded slowly, confused.
"Brother, you shouldn't feel guilty for putting your life above someone else's," Angelique said, putting her hand on his shoulder to which he pulled back harshly.
"You-" He raised his voice and stopped when he realized that he was talking to his sister. He sighed to calm down, "You just don't get it, Angelique."
"What do I don't get, Dom?!" She asked, her anger was rising slowly.
"I'm just saying, Angelique, that there is a reason why I'm the demon and you're the angel! You've never done anything ultimately wrong, whereas I almost had Lucifer killed!" He shouted as his breathing became rugged.
Angelique laughed mockingly, "I've never done anything wrong? Dom, who do you think got Kaiden in prison?!"
Dominique's breath hitched, "You did that?" He whispered.
"Yes."
He shook his head in disbelief, "You didn't."
"I did, Dominique. And you want to know why I did it? Because he rejected me and I wanted revenge. Who's the demon now?" Angelique taunted.
Dominique shrugged, "Still me."
And he walked out.
Leaving Angelique with harsh breathing and an erratic heartbeat, and then and only then, did she realize how bad she's gotten.

"Did Lucifer wake up yet?" Caroline asked Scarlett. They were currently waiting for him to wake up, and it feels like years, even though it has only been a maximum of 8 hours.
Scarlett hadn't heard from Isaac since last night. His last words to her were, "I'm going out." and he had only told her that after she found him sitting on the walls that surrounded the school.
She sighed and shook her head, "Not yet."
Caroline sat down beside her, "Where's Isaac?"
Scarlett shook her head once again, "I don't know."
And the quiet began. No one dared to say a word as they stared at Lucifer, at the ceiling, at each other, at their phones. Nothing happened.
Lucifer's eyes shot open. And he turned his head to his right, to see Scarlett sleeping, and beside her was Caroline, engrossed in her phone to notice him.
So he tried moving his left hand, to see Marcel holding it down. Lucifer yanked his arm out of Marcel's hold so hard the Marcel woke up and hit his head on one of the bed railings. The noise made Caroline look up from her phone and Scarlett to wake up.
"Lucifer?" Caroline whispered as he turned his head back towards her. She broke out in a smile so big, Buckingham Palace wouldn't have enough space for it. "Lucifer!" She lunged at him, hugging him.
"Care," His voice came out raspy and foreign.
"Here," Scarlett handed him a glass of water and Caroline helped him sit up.
Lucifer gulped the water, relieving himself of the pain inside his throat. He looked around once he's done, looking for his best friend to no avail.
"That hurt, man," He heard Marcel say from the other side of him.
He let out an airy laugh in return, still wondering where Isaac is.
Lucifer sighed, "Where's Isaac?"
Scarlett gave him a sad smile, "He's been gone since last night."
"Why?" He asked.
Caroline shook her head, "He wouldn't tell us."
Lucifer sighed, changing the topic and deciding to leave Isaac alone for some time.

Isaac walked in his supposed to be cold room, "Who the fuck turned the air conditioner off?" He shouted into the darkened room.
The lights flickered on, showing 3 grinning faces.
"You're back!" Scarlett hugged him tightly. Instinctively, he hugged back, burying his face in her neck.
Isaac looked up to see Lucifer still smiling at him, with his arm in a sling. He broke free from Scarlett to go over to him.
"You're awake!" Isaac hugged him tightly.
Lucifer rubbed his back, hugging him back with his right hand, "I'm awake."
Once they broke free, Scarlett was sitting with Caroline, watching them. In her hand was the AC remote, to which he gladly accepted and turned the air conditioner on.
"I'm sorry I wasn't there when you woke up," Isaac said to Lucifer, sitting beside him on his bed.
"Don't sweat it, brother. Where've you been?" Lucifer replied.
"Umm, just out, I guess," Isaac answered, not wanting them to know that he had been in the forest screaming and crying all night.
Lucifer raised his eyebrow, not believing his reply but letting it slide.
"So...why had you just run off?" He asked.
"I-uh-it's," Isaac stammered. Could he ruin the mood right now? So that his best friend woke up from a near-death experience to find out that his brother-figure, the one person he looked up to, had died?
"Isaac," Scarlett noticed his worried demeanor, "Is everything alright?"
He sighed, giving in, "No. Jack died in a car crash last night," He said, glancing at Lucifer to see how he's holding it.
Which is not well. His smile was dissipating slowly, and his bright blue eyes looked darker, and anyone could hear his already broken heart shatter even more. It had hurt Isaac to see Lucifer lose so much so young.
"Luce," He whispered as he watched Lucifer lean on the wall to hold himself up.
Lucifer's breaths were shaky and uneven, and he couldn't hear Isaac's voice telling him to breathe.
Then everything snapped back, as if the whole world had stopped and so have his panic attack.
"I'm alright," Lucifer assured, walking towards the door. He turned back, holding the handle. "When's the funeral?"
"Thursday," Isaac answered.
Lucifer nodded, "Where?"
"Uptown."
He nodded once and left the room in silence.

Detective Bassi stood in front of the dining table. It was lunchtime and, here they were, in the dining room. Kaiden's chair is empty, Lucifer was isolating himself in his room, and everyone was quiet. No chit chat, no discussions, nothing.
"As you may know, Mr. Hansen is not here because he is being held in prison for the time being until a court hearing which is tomorrow. We have successfully gotten a confession from him after getting a statement from Angelique," She spoke.
Marcel and Monique glared at Angelique while the rest had glanced at her briefly, but she had kept a straight face, showing no emotions.
"However, we do not believe his confession, due to his actions while speaking," She was stopped by Isaac who raised his hand to ask a question.
"Do you have other suspects at the moment?" Isaac asked.
"Yes, we do. But that information is classified," Bassi answered.
After seeing that the students have no more questions, she continued, changing the subject to another.
"We also have gotten news that a former student of Charis Institute, one that has gotten quite close to some of you while he was here, had passed away. We, from the police department, send our condolences. The funeral will be held this Thursday, invitations only. The ones invited are: Lucifer Williams, Scarlett Vesper, Isaac Calloway, Caroline Arrington, and Natasha Ivanov," She said, reading from a list for the last part.
No one said anything for a whole minute, letting the silence ease them, comfort them.
"Well, I would say that you all have a busy week, with the court, Jack Crawford's funeral, and Angelique and Dominique's birthday. And that is only until Friday." And with that, Detective Bassi left the room, leaving the students to discuss whatever it is the want to discuss.
Moniqua sighed before she began talking, "My mother will have the dresses and tuxes arrive here tonight. However, Kaiden's would have to be kept by me for a while until he gets back."
Angelique scoffed, "What makes you think he'll get out?"
She clenched her jaw and took a deep breath, turning to Angelique's direction, "What makes you think that he'll stay there? We won't testify against him, Angelique. You may but who's to say that we would have your back? Heck, what did he even do to you to have you make up lies that get him in prison anyway?"
Angelique glared at her, "That's none of your business," She said through gritted teeth.
"Well I'm making it my business," She bit back. "By you saying that, you put the rest of us out there too! And not only can that ruin our reputations, but the school and our parents!"
"We needed someone to take the blame," Angelique said, holding her ground strongly.
"No, we didn't!" Moniqua argued.
"Alright, both of you, stop," Marcel commanded sternly.
"Yeah? What makes you so special, Marcel?" Angelique turned her attention toward him. "I'm pretty sure that if you were the one who confessed to killing Alexandra, Kaiden wouldn't be in jail the first place."
Marcel's eyes burned through her, "No, we all would. And you know what, Angelique? If you had kept your problems and all your hurtful feelings to yourself, he wouldn't have to make a fake confession to keep the rest of us out of jail!"
The tension between the 3 of them was deafening. By now, Leonora had stood up, ready to stop them if they get too far, and Scarlett watched them cautiously.
"Alright, just...calm down, yeah?" Caroline said.
"I lost my appetite," Marcel said, leaving the room and Moniqua followed him shortly.
Angelique sat back down with a huff and continued eating.
And the rest? Silence.
