Matthew followed the Guardian inside the Birkwoed Tree. He wandered his eyes all over the place mesmerized by how the inside looked so much for a human. Matthew had a thought that the Guardians were once human but was given power by the Guardian thus losing their physical and original form. He thought that was the reason behind their power increase when they turn to humans.
Felix was able to hear the thoughts of Matthew, and he laughed.
"You are so imaginative young man! Your brother was surely more secretive. The moment he knew that I was able to hear leak thoughts he immediately learned how to cover it." Felix gushed.
"But what he had was terrifying even for Gods themselves." He blurted.
"You met him?" Matthew with a concerned voice asked the Guardian.
The Guardian nodded for response and silence surrounded them.
Matthew spotted a book that caught his attention. He knew it was familiar and so he went closer to see it. He held the book and scanned through it.
"The Great Water Conqueror's Sword. It's a one of the siblings of Fire Conqueror. It's said that who ever owns the eldest of the sibling Conquerors could learn the rest but if you got only the younger ones, it's impossible to learn. "He" tried to practice this and failed his attempt."
'The eldest sibling. The Great Fire Conqueror's Sword. I do have the book and if this is true this could make me someone or something so great that is beyond the strength of a Guardian.'
"Improved. You clearly do learn fast, you were able to seal your mind without even thinking about it. I'm impressed." Felix said to Matthew.
Matthew smirked and continued to scan the book he held.
"Take it. The point of you coming here is to make you someone beyond a Guardian's Strength and even greater than someone like me." Felix explained as he turned around and started heading in the stairs that goes up the massive house.
Matthew stood still and felt shivers in his spines. He knew what he felt wasn't wrong. He felt a great presence almost as strong as his Uncle. He looked at the Guardian worried. He placed the book inside his scroll and followed the Guardian.
He caught up with the Guardian and was just right behind him. He had so many questions and before he was able to open his mouth Felix interrupted.
"No questions until we reach the top of these stairs." Felix looked at Matthew and smiled.
They continued to walk on the stairs of the massive house inside the birkwoed. While they were going up Matthew looked at book shelves that would give him goosebumps. He fights the urge to take a look and focus on following the mysterious Guardian.
Matthew scanned the figure of the Man standing in front of him.
'Is this his true form? Is it the same with the quintuplets? Were they originally humans? Why does these shelves give me goosebumps as if something inside the shelves were alluring me?'
Before he could finish all the questions that filled his head he didn't realize that both of them were already on top of the building.
"Welcome to my den." Felix stopped at his mark in the large room. It was at least 20 times bigger than a usual room. More durable but less detailed. The atmosphere felt as if someone was training in that place. It was filled with loose energy, strong energy that would be worth wasting your time absorbing.
Matthew wandered his eyes throughout the room and spotted a door in the right corner.
"What's in there?"
"My weapons. Magical runes, herbs, scrolls and different artifacts." Felix answered.
Felix faced Matthew with a serious face. "I'll give you the remaining time of this day to enhance your mind seal." He said and continued to go the table that was laid on the middle of the room.
Out of curiosity, Matthew wondered what would the bottom look like from the ceiling he was in. He looked behind and saw nothing but unending room. He was shocked and had panicked. He looked back to find the Guardian and as soon as he slid his head back to the Guardian, Felix was gone. That was the moment Matthew understood what was happening.
'A test. I will surely pass this. I have too many questions to begin with and now is not the time to leave my questions unanswered.'
Matthew sat at where he was at and focused his concentration in meditating.
Ethaniel's Point of View.
Ethaniel was confused and lost in the middle of nowhere, and the one thing that was guiding him was the big tree that exceeded the rest of the tree reaching the peak of the sky. All he could think of was his sister. He was worried of how his sister would be without them. He panicked at the thought and started sprinting in the west side of the forest.
'I have to find April as fast as I can. I can't begin to imagine what would happen to her if neither Ethan nor I is there!'
Just as fast as he was running westward, he heard a large growl in the middle of nowhere. The animosity of the unknown beast place shivers down Ethaniel's spine. Without thinking, Ethaniel went towards the energy he felt. The place that was covered with nothing but mythical trees and random herbs disappeared and a valley stood open with a great roaring Sabertooth who was ready to attack the injured Alexander.
Ethaniel didn't think twice and started sprinting towards the beast. He summoned his sword and started chanting in his mind.
'Blaze, thee, the great sword of the Sun.'
His sword started blazing with great flames that would destroy a whole forest in just a blink. He made his stance when the gap of the Sabertooth and him closed.
'This will work! Graceful Swordsmanship. Graceful Slash.'
He remembered what he had saw in his brother's cultivation book and copied the very first technique perfectly. In just a blink he leaped through the sabertooth and had pierced the beast's heart.
"It's not over yet, prince! He has 2 more hearts." Alexander warned.
Ethaniel glared at the beast and pointed his sword.
'Blaze upon the hell of Ez Kabar.'
The Sabertooth roared on agony feeling the burn until it was unable to endure the pain. It burnt to death. The fire that surrounded the body of the sabertooth dispersed in a blink of an eye returning to Ethaniel's sword.
Ethaniel went to Alexander helping him up. "How did you lose with just one thing?" Ethaniel asked the assassin.
"It wasn't alone. I killed its' two minions, and you killed this one. It was much more scarier..." Alexander trembled with great fear.
A loud sound of a woman screaming then appeared. It was south of where they were at. The two looked at the forest and Alexander stopped at his marks before entering the dark forest. Ethaniel didn't hesitate at the state of someone needing help. He ran as fast as he could towards the screams and found the big black sabertooth with its Black eyes filled with satisfaction.
Ethaniel glared at the beast. "How dare you."
'Ancient power of the Felix God. Bring fourth the greatest fire and burn my enemy down to its' death.'
Ethaniel pointed his sword at his target and continued to focus his energy.
The beast roared almost stopping Ethaniel's focus.
"Heal!" April arrived at the side of his brother and was healing Emilia who was gravely injured.
"Brother please..." Emilia begged.
"Alexander! We need you!" Emilia continued as she looked behind where Alexander stood shaking and trembling.
"We'll hold the beast off. Ethaniel was it?" Phronyx asked. Ethaniel nodded. "Well you finish the final blow at my signal."
"Vines!" The roots of the mythical Trees disabled the Sabertooth.
"Poison Weakness!" Phoinyx pointed his palm towards the Sabertooth and released her energy.
"NOW!" Phronyx signals.
"SET BLAZE!" Ethaniel shouted with all his might, and the blaze surrounded the beast.
The Sabertooth roared in agony and sorrow and slowly burning into his death.
Atlas, it was over... Ethaniel collapsed and April caught him.
