I have been thinking about how to approach Cain but he seems to purposely ignore me. Like it's been so many days since I last saw his face.
Actually, I tried approaching him several times but he escapes whenever I attempt to. Maybe he realized that he can't push me away and instead tries to ignore me as much as he can.
But if you look at the other way, I do look like his stalker which creeps me a bit if I were the one who saw what I'm doing. Tomorrow is the last day of the Academy Fair and I haven't still made any progress in my plan to prevent Cain in becoming a villain.
I'm in deep in thought when a chocolate cookie has appeared infront my face.
Chocolate!!
"Would you like some?"
The familiar voice that asked me made me frown in annoyance. Him again.
"If I said yes, will you give me some?"
I asked him raising one of my eyebrows.
He gave me a smile that obviously looks like he needs something from me.
"Sure, if you tell me what happened to those fan girls..."
I knew it.
You think I'm stupid, male lead?!
"No"
I walked away from him but I'm really tempted at how he swayed the cookie.
"These cookies will be wasted, too bad..."
I glance back and saw him opening the trash can to throw the cookies but I saved the cookies right on time.
"Don't you know how many people are hungry?! You shouldn't waste food!"
I scolded him while holding the small bag of cookies.
"Can't relate"
He told me.
Of course you don't! You were born as a prince! You don't know the value of money!
"Aren't you from a noble count family? Why are you so bothered by money, and it's not like your family is poor"
Yes, I am fortunate to be born as a rich count's daughter but! In my past life, I'm just a commoner and a college student. I know what it feels like to be broke.

I walk passed him with the bag of cookies on my hand.
"You didn't tell me about the fan gir-"
I sighed.

Then I finally leave.

I remove my black gloves from my right hand and took a cookie and munch it.
So goooodd!! But not as good as the ones on the Cordelia Bakery though.
My whole week has been a cycle right now. While I'm busy approaching Cain, the male lead likes to approach me instead. I said last time that I'll scold the male lead but now I want him to figure out himself, I want him to know it on his own.
"Excuse me? Can you tell me where I can find the Gardening club?"
Someone tapped my shoulders from behind and her voice is very familiar.
"Just head to--Dahlia!?"
"Sister?!"
We were both surprised and happy to see each other that we immediately hug.
"What are you doing here?"
I asked her.
"I'm here to visit you and brother!"
"Really? Then is father and mother here?"
We broke the hug as I asked her that.
"They will but I went ahead first, by the way nice costume! I almost didn't recognize you from behind!"
She scan me from head to toe.
"Not really, it's hard when you are wearing something likes this in this hot sunny day"
"Is that so? Then like I ask earlier...do you know where the Gardening club's booth is?"
Dahlia links one of her arms in mine.
"Just head to the tree over there and you'll find it after you turn right"
"Then would you mind escorting me there? Miss Knight?"
She asked me grinning.
"But Dahlia, I'm busy..."
If Miss Audrey saw me, she'll surely scold me.
"Please?"
She gave me her softest puppy eyes.
Oh no!
"Dahlia..."
"Pleaseee?"
Argh! I can't take it anymore!!
"....."
"Please, sister~"
"Alright...but I'll leave immediately after"
I told Dahlia who happily nodded.
"Thank you, sister!"
Then I headed straight to Derrick and gave him the signboard again.
"Sorry Derrick, I promise this is the last time...my sister realy wants me to escort her"
I whispered to him.
"Alright..."
He took the signboard without hesitation.
"Thank you so much! I'll make it up to you someday!"
I patted his back before I left to come with Dahlia.
As me and Dahlia are walking side-by-side, we heard a young boy getting angry on a pie store.
"Why did you let me wait?! You told me it was only five minutes! It's already seven minutes!"
The young boy cross him arms and stomp one of his feet on the ground.
"I'm sorry, the ingredients ran out so--"
"I don't care just hurry up! I want my apple pie, right now!"
Jeez. What a stubborn child.
"Well, let's go Dahlia!"
I shifted my head to Dahlia who was already gone.
"Dahlia?"
Where did she go?
"What are you looking at?"
I heard the young boy talk again and saw Dahlia standing infront of him with her head raised up high.
"Dahlia--"
I was about to call her when she points her index finger infront of his face.
"Aren't you a bit rude? Didn't you heard that the ingredients ran out?"
Dahlia! What are you doing?
"What?"
"I know you are upset but you shouldn't shout at a person just because of that"
Wait, is Dahlia scolding him?
"Wha-wha-wha-!"
I can see the young boy blushing.
"What do you mean what?"
Dahlia crosses her arms and gave him a frown.
"H-how...how dare you say that to me?! Don't you know that I'm the heir of En Everett marquis family?! I'm the nephew of the empress!"
Whoa, so that's why he looks familiar! He has the same peach hair color and amber eyes as the empress since he is her younger brother's only son! Lief En Everett.
In the novel, he was just your ordinary fanboy. He likes bragging about being the crown prince's cousin and idolizes him although he is a bit spoiled. He also has a secret and that he has a weakness for girls especially cute ones.
Maybe that's why he is blushing right now! He thinks Dahlia is cute! Not only that, he is also at the same age as her. He will also enter the academy two years after which is when the heroine will enter.
"So you know that you are the heir, then why not act like one? You'll become the future marquis one day! Do you think people will respect you if you are like that?"

Lief keeps getting redder as Dahlia tries to get close to him.
"Respect others like how you want to be respected"

I can't help but feel proud as I watch them from afar.

Dahlia's serious face shifted to a smile before bowing her head to him.

He stutters when he calls Dahlia.

Dahlia gave him a sweet smile which made him blush even harder.
"What's you name and how old are you...?"
He sounded grumpy but I can see him being interested in Dahlia.
"I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself...I'm Dahlia La Eclaus, the second daughter and youngest child of the Eclaus count family! Oh and I'm thirteen years old!"
Dahlia gave him a small wave before heading back to me.
"Let's go sister!"
Dahlia links her arm to mine again.
"Sure...you were cool there"
I complimented her.
"Really? Thank you, but he reminds me of brother though"
Then we both laugh. But before we could leave, I heard Lief say something blushing and smiling.
"So we are at the same age..."
Looks like someone has a crush on Dahlia.
"You two make a cute couple"
I snickered.
"Do we? I don't think so!...how about you sister? Do you have someone you like here?"
She snickered back.
Argh.
"No, none"
I replied but then the image of Cain flashed in my mind.
What the- what's wrong with me?!
"I guess there is one just by looking at your face"
She smiled.
This kid...
Wait, she's clothed too much. Doesn't she feel hot? But...I remember, Dahlia's gift is that she can withstand hot or cold weathers, she can even neutralize a temperature like how she easily make a very hot tea to cool down but she can only do it on things though.
It's actually pretty cool since she is like a human thermostat compared to mine.
"Do you want to go to Arthur's after brother's?"
I asked Dahlia since you know she has a huge crush on Arthur.
"Hmmm...I'll think about it~"
What? She usually say yes immediately but she seems calm now when we are talking about him.
"Don't you want to see him too?"
I asked her.
"I want to...but I'm too shy"
She blushed a little. I guess she still has a crush on him but not so much like before.
"If we have time, we can go to him"
I told her. She nodded smiling.
We finally reached the Gardening club's booth. It's a plant shop! Obviously, because it is the Gardening club.
"Welcome, welcome! Feel free to check on some plants!"
A male student welcomed us before going to another customer.
"Wow, so many beautiful plants! I want to buy some flowers!"
Dahlia jumps in joy as she went to the flower section.
I'm not really a fan of flowers but they are really pretty. I can see some students putting a jewel like fertilizer, maybe that's why there are jewel looling petals here.
Is everything magical here?
Now where is David?
I look around and saw him sitting on a corner. I think he is reading something.
"Wait, she'll come?"
David sounded so happy as he say that. He is wearing a green shirt, the same as his fellow members here.
"Who?"
I sat beside him and look at the letter he has been reading.
"Ah! Wh-what are you doing here?!"
He quickly hide the letter but his hand is so clumsy that it scattered on the floor.
"Ohhh~ Dear Handsome Da-"
I was reading the letter I picked up before he snatched it away from me looking annoyed.
"Who said you can read it? What are you doing here anyway? And what's with the ugly costume?"
"Ugly? I think this is pretty cool! And I'm here with Dahlia! I'm a customer"
His eyes widened when he heard that Dahlia is here.
"Dahlia?! I-is father and mother here?!"
He looks around their shop.
"No, they are not here yet...why are you so scared?"
"Don't you get it? I'm still engaged to my crazy fiancee and they will get angry if they knew that I have been secretly sending letters to-"
"Brother!!"
Dahlia noticed the two of us as she was picking some flowers to buy.
"Gahh!!"
He finally hid it to his large pocket before heading to Dahlia. He turns to look at me and put his index finger infront of his lips.
I nodded and gives him a thumbs up.
"Brother! Brother! Do you have any daffodils?!"
Dahlia asked brother who sighed and nodded. He was assisting her since she is technically a customer, she bought a lot.
A white lily caught my attention, it is the only one left behind. It's cute! Should I take one and put it on a vase in my dorm room?
I was about to take the last remaining white lily when an old lady accidentally touch my hand.
"Oh! Sorry!"
I apologized and told her to take the white lily instead. She smiled and shake her head.
"No young lady, take it"
"Really, I'm just admiring it...I'm not really on planning to buy it"
I insisted.
"But it symbolizes purity and rebirth just like you"
What?
"Pardon?"
"You..are not from here aren't you?"
She told me.

I'm at loss for words.
"That's what you thought, but you just came back where you really belong...now it's up to you to change your destiny"

I was interrupted by Dahlia who calls to me to show me a small petuna.
"Coming, just have to--huh?!"
When I replied back to Dahlia, the old woman was now nowhere to be found.
Okay, that's creepy.
And what does she mean that I just came back? This is not my real world!! I'm not Delie!
"Sister, what's wrong?"
I didn't realize that Dahlia was already beside me and she looks worried holding a bouquet of flowers she just bought.
"It's nothing...you bought a lot!"
"Hehehe, I sure am! I'm going to display it into the hallways of the manor"
She excitedly said hugging the flowers.
"Are you going to buy that?"
She pointed at the white lily I'm holding.
"Hmmm...yes"
I paid for the flower as they wrap it.
"See you, brother!"
Dahlia waves at David who scratch his head.
"Yes sure, don't come back"
He said.
Then me and Dahlia laugh.
"So? Can we go to Arthur's place now?"
Dahlia's eyes shine so brightly.
"But Dahlia I need to go back and collect donation-"
"Delie La Eclaus!"
Oh no...!!
I slowly look behind me and saw Miss Audrey with cross arms. Derrick is behind her who signals to me that he is sorry and he can't stop her.
"So this is where you've been!"
"I'm sorry!"
I bowed my head repeatedly.
"Miss Hartfelt, right? I'm sorry! I was the one who asked my sister to accompany me"
Dahlia interrupted our conversation and bowed her head too.
"It's alright, you can just tell me that...but never ever do this again alright?"
Miss Audrey sighed when Dahlia apologized to her.
No fair! Why did she excused Dahlia so easily?!
"Are you perhaps...?"
Miss Audrey looks at Dahlia.
"I'm her younger sister! Dahlia La Eclaus! Nice to meet you"
Dahlia gave her a sweet smile while curtsying. I can see Miss Audrey smiled.
"I knew it! Even though you have the same eye color is Inanna, I'm glad you inherited your father's light blonde hair! Not only that, your personality is similar to him!"
Gahh! Is that why?! She reminds her of father?!
Now that I think about, David resembles father but he got more of mother's personality...he is easily angered. Dahlia on the other hand also got mother's eyes but she mostly got her looks and personality from father. While me on the other hand, looks exactly like my mother.
Is that why??
"Delie! Dahlia! So this is were you two are! I have been looking for--"
I gulped at the familiar voice.
No way!
I look behind and saw my mother.
"Audrey...?"
My mother stepped forward infront of me while Miss Audrey did the same infront of Derrick.
"Inanna..."
