There was… a whisper or was it… air? He was not sure as he felt swayed by it, like a feather being danced with the wind. It was nice and relaxing, reminding him of laying in the hammock at the beach with Eve.
Eve, his beautiful wife. Smiling, he remembered all the beautiful memories they shared. But like any good thing, the sound of thunder rolled into his dream. The chill filled up his body as his skin prickled.
"Adam," a voice spoke in richness and safety.
"Father."
He wasn't sure how to feel about this. Why was his father visiting him in his dream? Wait…!
"Calm yourself Adam," the calming voice spoke.
"How can I be calm," he fisted his hands, "You wish to kill us."
"No, my child," God's voice soothed him, whether he wanted it to or not, "I only wish for the return of life."
There was a pause and Adam knew, he just knew what that meant.
"You mean to kill Eve."
