Chapter 4 - Part 4 - Don't Use Fi- Never Mind...

"We mean no harm. We're just trying to get to a pirate base." Jimmy said.

"WHA IS YOUR RELATIONS WITH DA STEALING SCUMBAGS?" The chief replied.

"We are going to attack them, fair gentleman, and also those pesky marines." Whatz D Face announced.

"IF YOU ARE GOING TO ATTACK THEM, WHY ARE YOU HEADING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION?" The chief asked dubiously.

"Well you see, kind gentleman, we may or may not be lost." Whatz D Face said.

"Ah I see you are of no threat to us. May we make a request?" The chief asked.

"What if we say no?" Vaeg retorted.

"Remember da spears are at your throats still." The chief replied.

Before Vaeg could protest, Jimmy cut in and asked, "What is your request?"

"We have had troubles with da pirates as they took our tribe's sacred devil fruit when they raided our sacred lands. However, our numbers were diminished greatly, and we are too weak to win it back. We don't really care what you do with the marines as we don't have a problem wid dem but make sure dem pirates are punished." The chief explained.

"I promise we will get you your precious fruit back, but in return you need to lend us a guide to the pirate base of Ezekiel." Jimmy said.

Whilst this was being discussed, Belsari was being badgered by the tribe about her flamethrower. When they heard what it was they turned pale and pleaded for her not to use it in the forest. She carelessly appeased them and promised she wouldn't.

Despite his initial growls of discontent, Ronin eventually allowed the warriors to pet him. Nargo was playing rock-paper-scissors with Vaeg; it looked like they were trying to decide something.

The chief then yelled, "WADINGAE ONE AND WADINGAE TWO COME HERE!"

Two burly tall men stepped out of the circle and the chief instructed them to take the crew to Ezekiel's base. They both bowed. The moon reached its peak in the star lit sky, and they finally set off for Ezekiel's base.

For an hour they trekked through the forest, which apparently covered most of the island. Owls hooted loudly. There was the occasional rustles around the party but nothing too serious. The ground was mostly dry apart from the few ditches filled with water. After a few more minutes of walking, a bloody trail appeared. The group decided to investigate with the Wadingae twins leading.

The trail went on for a good couple of minutes. The Wadingaes stopped in their tracks and halted the crew.

"We will look at da rabbit corpse to see wha killed it. You all stay in dis spot and get ready in case of ambush." Wadingae One said.

The crew shrugged and waited.

As the twins crept closer to the corpse, Tim Tim could tell something was off. He tried to warn them but suddenly two leopards pounced from the trees and started mauling Wadingae Two. Blood spurted everywhere as his insides were being rapidly torn out and the other leopard jumped off him and headed towards the other Wadingae, shocked by the ferocity of the animals.

Vaeg sprung into action and fired off two bullets towards the leopard heading for Wadingae One but accidentally hit Wadingae One's shoulder.

"Vaeg! Why did you do that?!" Jimmy shouted.

"These pistols are shite, how did Jenkins shoot with these?" Vaeg said to himself, ignoring Jimmy.

Due to the impact of the bullets forcing Wadingae One to the ground, the leopard pounced on top of him and started tearing his arm off. He was too busy screaming in pain to react.

Belsari then stepped forwards. She readied her weapon.

"Belsari, don't do what I think you're going to do!" Jimmy exclaimed.

"Don't worry I've got this under control Jimmy." Belsari grinned.

Belsari proceeded to fire her flamethrower straight at the leopard on top of Wadingae Two. Now when you combine nature and fire, what happens? An astronomical catastrophe.

The flames burned the leopard alive. Unfortunately, she also set fire to the forest and fried Wadingae Two, assuring his death. After Ronin chucked the leopard off of Wadingae One, he sat up in horror and stammered, "Y-YOU KILLED MY BROTHER! YOU ARE NOT HERE TO SAVE US, YOU'RE HERE TO SLAUGHTER US!"

Before the party could explain, he grabbed his arm and sprinted towards, presumably, his village to warn them. When the party turned to face the other leopard, Tim Tim was stroking it gently. Tim Tim saw the confusion and horror of everyone's face and tried to claim he had now tamed the beast, and that he was harmless.

Jimmy and Nargo's face darkened as they slowly edged towards the leopard.

"G-Guys it's fine really. He won't hurt anyone again. I communed with him and he promised to stop." Tim Tim said.

"Move out the way Tim Tim!" Jimmy shouted.

"B-but..."

"NOW!" Nargo ordered.

"Fine." Tim Tim pouted.

The leopard realizing what was about to happen tried to sprint away. Jimmy expertly pinned it to the ground with his harpoon. Nargo went in for the final blow, sending his sabre across the leopard's spine, immobilizing it fully. And with one fell swoop, decapitated the animal.

After putting distance between the forest fire and themselves the party spoke amongst each other, heading in the general direction they were originally being led.

"Tim Tim, new rule. If the creature attacks us or anyone important then we forbid you from taming it." Jimmy said.

"Ok, Mister Jimmy." Tim Tim replied sadly.

"Second of all, where did you get those pisto- are you eating Wadingae Two's leg?!" Jimmy asked disgusted.

"I wouldn't call it eating. More like savouring the flavour. Also, the pistols, I stole them from Jenkins whilst he wasn't looking." Vaeg replied.

"I'm just going to stop asking you things." Jimmy turned to Belsari. "What did you say to me Belsari?"

"That I had it under control."

"And what did you do?"

"Burned the leopard, Wadingae Two and maybe the forest. But I mean, technically I resolved the situation."

"You resolved the situation and caused a much bigger one!"

"I'm sure the tribe could put it out."

"You know what forget it. Just next time, think before you bloody shoot."

"Yes Jimmy."

"Everyone, shut the fuck up. A patrol is going by," Nargo whispered.

"That must mean we are close gentlemen and, of course, gentlewomen." Whatz D Face whispered loudly.

"Did you say gentlewomen? There's only one female on the crew." Jimmy whispered back.

"Really? Vaeg said you were a woman."

"I look nothing like a woman you retard."

"Not now, but wait until you are asleep." Vaeg interjected.

Once the patrol had passed, miraculously not hearing the party, the crew headed up a hill. On the other side was Ezekiel's base. It was surprisingly large and endorsed with gold. It seemed the marines were already attacking and from up on the hill, they looked like they were winning. The moon started dipping and colour started to invade the night sky.

The group headed down towards the gate at the back where no fighting was taking place. There stood a single elderly guard, who seemed oblivious to the sounds of fighting.

"Who are you? Identify yourselves!" The guard demanded.

Nargo and Jimmy handed him a badge each, obtained from Leroy and Jenkins.

"I am Leroy and this is my brother Jenkins. The ones behind us are our lackeys." Nargo explained.

Vaeg scowled at Nargo viciously at the mere mention of himself being a lackey.

"Oh... you're them." The guard said, disappointed by the reality of the infamous Leroy and Jenkins. "Go right in."

"Thank you." Jimmy said, relieved their plan worked.

Vaeg punched Nargo in the arm as soon as they entered the base. The base was much bigger than what they had seen from above. There were rows upon rows of huts and a relatively small mansion at the end of it. Cries of battle and war sounded in the distance. It was time to fight.

"Whilst you gentlemen go and fight, I'm going to look for anything valuable in that mansion." Whatz D Face said.

He ran off before anyone could protest. Shaking their heads, the rest of the party walked down a small path and ended up on the battlefield.
