The sun was slowly setting. Bleeding red covered the skies as darkness fast approached. Kneeling on the stand, a rather diminutive man had two swords placed across his neck in an X position. Another marine climbed up the stand to deliver Stevey's sentence. The Vaeg pirates had just arrived and had started weaving through the crowd, trying not to look too conspicuous.
"Welcome to the execution of Stevey Wesford! This criminal has aided the Golden Lion Shiki and his crew by providing them ships and other materials. He has been declared guilty. Henceforth, his punishment... is death!" The marine declared.
Whilst this was going on, about twelve marines circled the crew without them noticing. The crowd backed off slightly but still watched the execution excitedly.
"What's our fucking plan then, Mister mastermind?" Nargo sarcastically asked Jimmy.
"To be honest I didn't really think this through, did I?"
"For fuck's sake Jimmy!"
"Why don't we sneakily climb up the ladder?" Tim Tim intervened.
"Good idea Tim Tim. Except there's hundreds of people watching." Nargo snapped.
There was a sudden roar from the crowd which the crew didn't take any notice of as they bickered about the plan. The marines circled closer. Reinforcements seemed to be making their move as well to back the twelve marines up.
"Why don't we just burn it?" Belsari chipped in, trying to coax Jimmy into giving her her confiscated weapon back.
"NO!" Everyone shouted.
Suddenly, a blade smothered in blood from the stand pointed at the Vaeg pirates. The crew still took no notice so the sword was thrown down between the feet of Nargo.
"Watch where you throw your swords, fucking jackass!"
"The group in question has committed crimes against the marines. Their names are the VAEG PIRATES!" the spokesman yelled.
"Oh! If you wanted our attention, you should've just started with our names!" Nargo shouted in reply.
"The Vaeg Pirates consist of six known members and rumours of four others yet to be identified. They are to be tried for the murder of Lt. Dawn and his associates as well as lying to the government."
Suddenly, a gun shot exploded near Nargo's face, but he narrowly evaded the shot. The crowd were in a massive panic and obstructed the path of the reinforcements. Behind the reinforcements, stood Ensign Masterson, sinisterly staring at the group from the distance. The twelve marines started to close off the Vaeg pirates' exit.
"Mister Jimmy and Nargo. Not to alarm you but that scary Ensign may be approaching us with reinforcements." Tim Tim said panicked.
"Alright I'll get Stevey and you guys rush to the ship." Jimmy ordered.
Belsari broke the news to Jimmy.
"I think he's already been executed. We were strategizing a bit too long and there was blood on the blade thrown at Nargo so uh... yeah..."
It took a second for Jimmy to process this and replied, "Well crap! Ok, new plan! We all get to the ship now! Belsari, you have my permission. For once don't worry about the casualties."
Belsari grinned as Jimmy chucked her flamethrower to her, "I'd thought you'd never ask!"
She excitedly chucked a vial of napalm into her weapon, cranked the dial to two and fired. Eight marines fell to the ground screaming and clawing at their faces where the napalm had hit. Unfortunately, a couple of innocent civilians were hit but there was no time to rectify any mistakes.
Whatz D Face, who had transformed into his hybrid form without anyone noticing, skipped past Belsari and revealed his face, which was hidden previously by his newly acquired cape. Two of the remaining marines immediately dropped their weapons and fell petrified to the floor. The other two, visibly shaken by the monstrosity, lifted their weapons and fired them into Whatz D Face's gut.
"Now, now, gentleman. That wasn't very nice, was it?"
To their horror the wounds immediately recovered and Whatz D Face tore one of their throats out then unhinged his jaw to feast upon the other. He then turned to the two marines cowering on the floor.
"Cowardice is not the way of the gentleman. Dear me..."
"P-p-please we have families."
"They'll be better off without a coward. I'm sure of it."
"N-No ple-"
The marines were cut off as Whatz D Face snapped both their necks in seconds.
"Shall we get going gentleman?" Whatz D Face faced the crew.
The crew, slightly shook by Whatz D Face's brutality, nodded. They started running towards their ship, which thankfully had been already refurbished and had all the equipment they bought already on it.
"Did Vaeg stay on the ship?" Jimmy shouted as a bullet flew past his head.
"Yeah, I think he said something like spending some 'Bonding' time with his special patient." Belsari replied.
All of a sudden, a wave of bullets was fired at the crew. Whatz D Face took the brunt of the attack, which barely should've barely fazed him and Jimmy took a shot to his shoulder whilst another grazed Nargo's leg.
To everyone's surprise only the Ensign Masterson was shooting and his hands were moving incredibly quickly. Tim Tim quickly whistled for Ronin to grab Jimmy before the Ensign could continue with another wave of bullets which seemed to be moving faster and hitting harder than the usual bullets. The crew were getting close to the ship but would have to survive a couple more waves of the Ensign's attacks.
"Nargo get on top of Ronin and try to deflect as many bullets as you can." Tim Tim shouted, firing a bullet aimlessly towards Masterson.
"I'm the fucking captain here, bucket boy. Don't tell me what to do!"
"Just do it!"
Nargo barely grabbed onto the speeding Ronin but just about managed to get on top of him.
"Don't worry if a bullet hits Ronin. His skin is pretty tough and can stop a normal bullet but the impact is still felt." Tim Tim reassured then shouted towards Belsari, "Belsari, if you're struggling to keep up, get on Ronin."
"I'm fine! My metal ar-"
Before she could finish another wave of bullets flew past everyone. Out of the six fired, Nargo could only deflect two of them back towards Masterson while the other four slammed straight into Whatz D Face, who looked like he was struggling to keep up. Luckily, Belsari grabbed his collar before he could collapse and managed to keep up.
Barbosa who had noticed that the crew were being chased, started to get the ship moving so the crew would have a quick escape. The Vaeg pirates were now extremely close to their ship but Masterson had disappeared which worried Tim Tim and Nargo. They reached their ship but as the crew sailed out quickly, two corsair marine ships came out of the docks and headed towards their direction.
"Everyone to your fucking stations! Belsari take Jimmy to Vaeg to get that wound patched up and come immediately back!" Nargo commanded.
Belsari barged into Vaeg's surgery room to find Lt. Dawn chained to the wall naked and Vaeg in a loincloth holding some tweezers. Lt. Dawn had tears streaming down his cheeks and muffled screams sounded from him. Vaeg turned, unamused by the interruption.
"What do you want? Can't you see I'm bloody busy tending to my patient?" Vaeg said.
"Uhh... sure. Anyways, Jimmy here needs a little patch up as he's currently got a hole in his shoulder." Belsari explained.
"Why the fuck did you come to me?"
"You're the doctor on the ship."
"I completely forgot. Take this healing potion and get out."
"Isn't ingesting too many of these lethal?"
"Do you want it or not swabbie?"
"Fine, I'll take it. Oh, and Doctor Vaeg?" Belsari looked at Lt. Dawn.
"What now?"
"If you want a machine to keep him in perfect health at all times so you can aid your patient as much as you want, just ask me."
"I might take you up on that offer. Now get out before you become my next patient."
"Sure thing, Doc."
Belsari returned to the deck and it seemed that only one of the ships actually followed theirs. The sky was now pitch black. No stars could be seen, as if they were swallowed by the darkness. The marine ship, using their usual seagull sail was right behind as the crew prepared to slow down and battle.
"Miss Belsari you're back. How's Mister Jimmy?" Tim Tim asked.
"He's fine. He lost a bit of blood, and he's resting now." Belsari replied.
"That's good. Anyways, we might have a little trouble now that we're going to take the ship behind us down."
"Where'd you get that sword?"
"Ah this. This is what I got from the blacksmith as well as the armour for Ronin."
"Will you be using it against the marines behind us?"
"I'm waiting for the right time to use it so no, not yet."
"Fair enough."
"HAHAHAHA MY FRIENDS! ARE YOU READY FOR BATTLE!" Leroy screamed, "WE WILL CRUSH THEM WITH OUR COURAGE ALONE COMRADES!"
Jenkins set up his marksman rifle in the crows nest whilst Barbosa did some last minute stretching. Tim Tim headed down into the middle deck to start loading the cannons with Belsari helping him. Whatz D Face made sure the boat was in no danger of crashing. Ronin pranced about in his new armour, lightweight but sturdy. Nargo stood at the helm.
"Now commencing, operation Fucking Shit Up!" Nargo shouted.
Tim Tim popped his head up, "Why do you always swear Mister Nargo?"
"Have you ever swore, bucket boy?"
"Once, but I was really angry and it slipped out."
"See that's my secret, I'm always fucking angry!"
"Are you sure you don't just need therapy?"
"Shut the fuck up, bucket boy."
Tim Tim ducked back below deck before Nargo could throttle him.
"Anyways, let's fuck shit up!"
"LEEEEEEERRRRRROOOOYYYYY!"
The Crimson Spear gradually slowed down and was in line with the marine ship. Thankfully, the highest ranked officer was only a lieutenant. There was roughly twenty other marines, all of whom looked slightly intimidated by Whatz D Face, still in hybrid form, who was waving at them without a care in the world. Jimmy stumbled onto the top deck, harpoon in one hand and Jenkins saw him.
"Captain, should I shoot?"
"Yes, Jenkins, you may shoot."
"Thanks captain!"
As he said this he fired a bullet straight into the lieutenant's head. The other marines were in mass panic as their commanding officer was now laying in a pool of blood. Leroy jumped magnificently over the gap between the ships and slammed his fist down onto the deck, resulting in a shockwave breaking the ship in two.
"I AM LEEEEEEERRRRROOOOOOYYYYY!"
"Leroy, jump back over quickly!" Jimmy shouted.
As soon as Leroy returned triumphant, Nargo shouted, "BOMBS ASS-HOY!"
Immediately several cannons fired, sending splinters of wood and people flying into the air and ocean.
"Safe to say, we won that. I'm a bit disappointed we didn't get to burn it though." Belsari said.
"We should be able to sail easy now, right?" Jimmy asked.
Everyone was exhausted by the day and decided to head for some shut-eye in their new rooms. Each room seemed meticulously created for a specific person which was strange considering no one should've known who they were at that time but no-one cared. It was comfortable and that's all that mattered.
The sun shone brightly, as the crew awoke from their slumbers and headed to fetch something to eat. A newspaper dropped onto their ship. Jimmy picked it up and dropped his salt covered croissant.
"Guys you may want to hear about this..."
"What the fuck is it?"
"It says, 'Gol D Roger executed' and something about a treasure called 'One Piece' located supposedly on the Grand Line."
"Mister Jimmy, I don't think we should worry about that right now. Look at the back page." Tim Tim said.
"Crap! It says, 'The Swallow Island Incident' and it details most of the things we did on that island and in Lvneel."
As Jimmy went to put the newspaper down a bunch of bounty posters fell out.
"Well, well underlings, looks like the Vaeg pirates are famous." Vaeg proudly declared.
"Welcome to the wanted club." Barbosa said.
"Fucking let's go." Nargo added.
"You guys know this is bad right?" Jimmy said.
"This makes things more exciting, doesn't it Ronin?" Tim Tim said.
Ronin howled in reply.
