"Adele, don't forget to wear something warm, The winter season already started!" A girl with curly brown hair said, walking inside the convenience store.
The said girl just hummed in response, leaving the counter with a small smile. she then looked back at the curly haired girl before speaking, "I've already organised the snack corner, plugged in the charger and turned off the shake machine so you won't have a hard time."
"You're like an angel that came from heaven!" the curly haired girl cried in delight, hands clasped together as she looked up to Adele.
"Don't be so dramatic, Julie." She laughs before walking out of the store, waving goodbye at her co-worker.
She looked at her watch, realizing it's already 2 in the morning...she had been forgetting the time and was much more tired than usual, maybe working four different part-time jobs was finally taking a toll on her body.
But she couldn't just suddenly stop, she had a lot of debts to pay...hell, she wasn't even able to fully cover the funeral expenses of her parents sixteen years ago.
She sighed deeply before frowning, she realized that she wasn't able to enjoy her youth..."what a shame.."
Blowing onto her palms, she then took out her phone...seeing a lot of messages saying something related to overdue payment, she paid no mind to it and went straight to the novel app.
Continuing from where she left off, she sat on the bench in the bus station and spent her time reading while waiting for the next bus.
After thirty minutes, seeing the bus from her peripheral view, she puts back her phone in her coat pockets and stood up..
A sudden striking pain was felt on her head...as if she was smacked by someone using a brick..her vision blurred and the last thing she saw was the bus nearing the stop...and the woman nearby that called onto her.
