Chapter 35 - Fluttering Feelings

Chapter 35

viLelouch's POV

Alexa Rohan, born into nobility, an heir. She was raised with a silver spoon and everything she wants, she gets. But the latter lasted before the tragedy two years ago. She had stopped being demanding and spoiled, as she had kept everyone away since then, building up a sturdy wall around her.

Well, but that doesn't mean everything in her personality changed. Her upbringing made her to be impatient and she still is.

She hates waiting— really really hate waiting.

Hence, after honking the horn for three times and Lou still had not come down, she snapped.

Slamming the door of her car behind her, she walked briskly, bolted right in the packhouse and headed straight up to her mate's room.

The door flew open as she gave it a forced kick.

A pair of startled green forest eyes met hers and— and then and there, she got lost in them.

She did not know why or how— or might be because Lou happens to be just wrapped in a towel with hair that was dripping wet. Or— or it might be because of the mate pull that she found the girl irresistible in that state.

'yeah'

'irresistible'

Everything fell down in that moment and something warm spread across her body. Also, by then, she could only see Louchie and none other.

'yeah'

'none other'

She was completely enamored of the girl.

From those green forest eyes, her gaze dropped to Lou's sultry looking lips, to her chiseled jaw line down to her long and supple neck. Visible even was the prominent collarbone just above the side of the wrapped towel; that towel she had wished to never been there at all.

'ahem'

Well, all that had sent Alexa's mind into frenzy, but not long though, as she heard a forced cough of a man in the room.

'hahaha'

There sat on a moveable couch was Lou's dad— looking amused.

That made Alexa's eyes to widen and she felt hot of embarrassment.

How—

How could she not able to sense the man?

She internally asked that to herself.

Well, probably, because she was so immersed ogling her mate.

'hahaha'

[**************]

The ride was long, and after miles and miles of open road, finally visible were a number of skyscrapers.

'yeah'

They went to the city.

Lou did not know much of the place, so she just let Alexa to take the lead.

Surprisingly, the girl drove and drove away from those towering buildings and not long, parked on the side of an alley.

In silence, Lou just followed Alexa's footsteps. They took a stair down, a bended path, then another passage that was built just for human scale, and finally ended up on another busy side of a street.

A shopping street—

Lou stopped, wafted in her nose were the scent of flowers, fabrics and— and of food.

Looking closely to her surroundings, there was a certain ambiance in it; the epitome of the gold old days.

The setting was kind of medieval yet it screamed luxury.

In line were a series of boutiques from famous brands, small scale restaurants and cafes, and people strolling, laughing without fear of being run over by vehicle as there was none.

A place dominated by humans—

And despite the crowd, Louchie only sees Alexa.

'ayiee'

Her mate shown the brightest in her eyes, bloomed like the first bud.

She was that in love—

'awwwiiee'

On that day, their first date made her to fall harder than she already had.

Also, she was confused yet happy, happy of how Alexa acted.

On their ride, she noticed the change, the newness of her mate.

They talked like it was the first time. Like— like strangers getting to know each other, something of that kind. They had a really good conversation, never boring and with personal matters, just curious and not really prying.

Lou felt heard and informed.

That made her to be confused of the sudden change in her mate. From cold responses of days and months ago to now— a curious cat. Like wanting to know her better, but she did not ask head on, fearing it would ruin the mood. So, she just went with the flow, letting herself satisfied and lived in that moment of bliss.

"Earth to Louchie," a finger snapped right in her face, then Alexa grabbed her arm, smiling while dragging her along, passing a sea of people.

'goddess'

She felt warmed—

She felt loved—

[************]

"What are you waiting for?"

They were inside one of the clothing boutiques.

Lou raised her brows in response to that but not as high and sharp as Alexa's.

"Let's shop, so pick whatever and as many as you want," her mate clarified, tapping her shoulder before heading to a couch in the back.

She turned, her gaze stuck on Alexa's back, brows furrowed by then.

Her mate took the time to settle comfortably on the couch, grab a magazine, turned a page, before meeting her inquisitive gaze.

The girl chuckled, "Your wardrobe is close to empty, let's fill it up."

When she did not move to pick some, Alexa sighed.

"Though I am your mate," the girl spoke.

"I won't dictate you of what to wear, and that same goes with everything."

"You can do what you want as long as it won't harm you."

"I will be here to aid you, to support you."

"And I won't change a thing or two in you."

"Just—just be yourself."

She inhaled a really really deep breath, "I have changed my mind, I don't wish to change you into someone else's anymore."

"I will try to embrace the all of you."

"I will try to be the strength in your weakness."

"I am tired of my mind at war with my heart."

"Let's grow as we go together, Louchie."

"As mates—"

'What the—'

'wow'

There was a moment of butterflies in Louchiechie's, a falling petals of cherry blossoms in the spring, a soft breeze of a calming wind.

'yeah'

She was floating, not believing what she was hearing.

"W—What do you mean b...by that?"

It was natural to stutter in moments like that.

Just who would not?

'hahaha'

Leaning in on her side by the couch, resting an elbow on the arm rest, her folded fingers supporting her chin, Alexa smiled the brightest at Louchie.

"I'm saying, let's give this fate— a chance."

'la la la'
