Hello everyone! I'm so sorry this is literally four months late, I got extremely busy and was focused on work, as well as my maladaptive daydreaming getting worse. I know this book is getting popular, but I have to put schoolwork and my mental health first.
I'll try to get as many chapters as possible out during this small break from school!

Survivors Guilt
——————————————————————————————————————————————
Sydney sat up after a moment, realizing she couldn't fall asleep. She realized she must have slightly fallen asleep though, since now she was sitting somewhere else. She couldn't tell where, due to it being much too dark for her to see anything. As she blinked and rubbed her eyes, she noticed the cold surrounding her, feeling the freezing air get to her and cause bumps to rise on her skin. "Hello? Anyone there?" She called out, her voice ringing out rather loudly into the dark room.
She then flinched as a bright light suddenly appeared infront of her, and began to float away, lighting the room she was in up. Sydney gasped as she realized where she was, the familiar yet not surroundings of her room being recognized by her, albeit dulled, senses. As she stood to wander the room, Sydney began to hear whispers, soft words she couldn't completely make out what they were saying, but could also not tell where they were coming from.
!!TW INCOMING!!
She slowly turned to see if she could pinpoint them, but startled backwards as a face appeared before her. Sydney gasped as she saw who was in front of her, recognizing Luciano's smiling face almost instantly. She stepped back slightly, realizing as she moved that cuts and bruises dappled his body, and heard the whispering more clearly as people appeared behind him. In order, she noticed an older man, Aika, and Casey. They stood together, looking grotesque.
She analyzed Luciano's face first, seeing the blood pour from his mouth as he held up his tongue, the edge rough from being cut off. She then took a small step back, seeing now how his crotch had blood pouring from it and down his leg. She looked closer at his leg, seeing now how the leg was bent at an odd angle, bone pressing against his skin and causing a bulge. Looking closer Sydney could then see that the jagged edge of the bone was poking out of the skin of his shin just barely, any blood that would've been pooling around the wound being gone due to how porous the bone was. As he stumbled forwards toward her, she could hear a crunching noise, his leg crushing the bones inside of itself as he moved closer to her.
Casey held his head in his 'arms', cradling it as you would hold a baby as he spoke, talking from his mouth as blood dripped from his face. Sydney took note of his arms and legs, seeing the black marks on his body, and where if you'd taken the matching limbs, the black lines would line up to match with a dotted pattern. There was string holding his body together loosely, the stitches being so loose that one of his legs was lightly dragging behind him as he moved forward, blood dripping everywhere as he looked at her and moved forward slowly, the words he was saying beginning to get slightly louder.
The older man holding his intestines as they fell out of his body, Sydney could see that he had a brownish liquid that filled her senses with an odd smell she identified as some type of alcohol. With a gruesome smile, he offered the organs to her to hold as he mumbled, a high pitched wheeze accompanying every breath from a deep wound in his chest. He then began to cough loudly, an almost liquid-like sound coming from deep in his chest as blood spilled over his lip as he continued to choke out words.
Aika then moved into Sydney's eyeline, her neck bent at an odd angle as she held eye contact with her. Aika's face has scratches and rather severe roadrash on it, bleeding from pretty much everywhere. She gently raised her arm, waving as her clearly broken wrist flopped around as though it were boneless. Sydney's eyes then moved away from her arms, noticing the bones sticking out of Aikas chest, and the amount of blood on her shirt in the center of her chest as she realized that Aika's chest must've collapsed somehow. Her gaze then moved to Aika's legs, covered in bruises and wobbly due to them being broken as well, bruises and scratches covering every inch of skin that Sydney could see.
As Sydney took in more and more of Aika's appearance, she began to stumble back more and more, soon cornered by the beings, "You caused this!" The chorus of scratchy, pain filled voices rang out loudly, causing Sydney to place her hands over her ears, "N-No I didn't!" Sydney shouted, the group continuing to shout over her soft voice. Grabbing onto her hands, they ripped them away from her skull, forcing her to listen. She began to hear a soft water like noise behind their shouts, almost sounding as if her ears were waterlogged as they got louder.
She sat up with a sharp gasp, breathing in and out as quickly as possible while reaching her hands up to her hair and tugging on it. "It-" she took a deep breath, "it was my fault." She began to shake, pulling her knees up to her chest, "It's my fault they're gone."
