We returned to our room, myself standing over Lana and Reina in my true form.
"So what do you want to explain?"
She knelt before me, her head lowered as she shook softly.
"Do you remember? Everything?"
"To the best of my memories capabilities, yes. I remember the alleyway and the way I died. The way you looked down at me..."
I closed my eyes, the pain still resounding in my heart.
"We... we have always been in love with you. We did what we could to make sure you could live your life fuller than it was. Those men... were with a gang that wanted to kill you. We didn't ask specifics... we just slept with them to deter them from you. It didn't work... in our fear and sadness we ran to you. We tried to explain, but they aimed guns at you. The car... it was one of theirs."
The sobbing intensified as I reopened my eyes.
"We pushed you to get them to stop aiming... but instead, we killed you! We threw you in front of a car... just to become sex toys for those bastards. They drugged us, making us into their possession."
The synchronization stopped.
"Lana bawled her eyes out... doing everything she could to find a way to kill us, or them."
"Reina found the gas canister... the fire was my doing."
"We made that building... mesmerizing."
Tears streamed down her cheeks as I leaned closer.
"You were never good at lying. But keeping secrets... you two were scary. I never saw you as much else besides my closest friends... even if you were both incredibly beautiful. The dread I felt when I saw those men with you, my heart wanted to stop then and there. It was then that I realized I wanted to be with one of you in a different way as well. I just couldn't process my feelings or talk to you before all of this..."
"Do you not believe us?"
I knelt beside them, my face barely apart from hers.
"I'll make it so I can believe what you say. My heart still hurts, seeing you two like that."
I cut my finger open, presenting it to her.
"Drink this and you'll be bound to me."
Without a single bit of hesitation, she latched onto my finger. Her lewd tongue flicked across the blood as her eyes began to fill with desire.
