At the same time, when they advanced to lower floor, the outside is still morning. Maybe about 9 times bell rang, or at 9 in the morning. Saya is doing her daily routine every morning. Along the way, she always visits Kelyn's store and bought some bread. She also donates to the church that near the store every week. But this time, it's different. No one notice it and Arlan still in the tomb so he didn't know about this at the moment.
Her disappearance is unknown until Arlan backs from the tomb.
Arlan feels unease for some reason, but since his mind is enhanced with dragon's blessing, that unease feeling disappear. Either it was because he concerns about something or something happened outside this tomb, he couldn't figure it out so he can only advance through this tomb.
The jungle floor, or the third floor based on Nomy's magic detection, he now enters the fourth floor. Before, in the jungle, Arlan could advance through bushes that act like a wall, but now, they magically underwater. Of course, the tomb is still feels like a labyrinth. Although they at underwater, it was more like an underwater park where the road is covered with glass along the way.
The glass is covered with magic so it couldn't be break with normal way. The ground is not stone but dirt.
This time around, they will against some water-type monster for sure. The monster's level is not that much of a difference with the previous floor so it was relatively easy to beat until they reach the boss floor.
Before they go in, they explore some safe area first for some valuable stuff since they haven't rest along the way. The safe area is still the same, building like a hut but made from obsidian and half of it made of glass which stuck on the glass wall that connect to the water.
After collecting all the stuff they could find, they advanced to the boss room. The boss room right now is actually underwater so they have to swim around while fighting the boss. This time, Arlan made some preparation. He made some magic before entering the boss room.
Ice Explosion, Wave Storm, Water Barrier, Swordfish Summoning, and Ice Blade magic. These 5 magic were created on the spot before entering the boss room. Water barrier is uses for breathing underwater since Arlan can create some gap on the nose to breathe some air.
The other 4 magic is offensive magic. Before going in, he leveled up some of the magic until reach level 10 on each magic.
After he makes sure everything is ready, they enter the boss room. The girls protected with water barrier magic so they can breathe underwater as well as Arlan.
"Musha, Misha, get a safe spot for now, this time it will be dangerous for you girls since none of you have any experience fighting underwater"
"What about you, Arlan?"
"I'll be fine. I know how to fight underwater"
"Nn. Please be careful then. We'll stay near the entrance"
This time, Arlan casts some Elemental Barrier around the girls to protect them. Snowy won't babysit them anymore since Arlan needs all the spirits to help him.
Arlan enters the room cautiously while scans the whole room. Since he is underwater, his vision was limited. Right after he saw the door at the end of the room, a monster rises up, blocking his path.
The monster in front of him is Three Head Shark. As the name imply, this shark has 3 heads on its head. Each head has different mark on them. The marks are Lightning, Water, and Wind element. Before engaging, Three Head Shark uses wind magic to boost its speed and lightning element to protect its main body.
"Alright, Sukki, nullify its lightning element for a moment! Snowy, create multiple layers of wall in front of me right before that shark get close!"
"Sure!"
"Yes Master!"
Dark magic has various debuff effect that could affect almost all elements. One of it is Nullify Magic. Although its most likely will null all kind of magic, but if the magic is on low level, only low level magic will be nulled. Since Sukki from the beginning is high tier spirit, she could use higher nullify magic.
The lightning that covers the shark has already nullified by Sukki, the dark spirit, now it's only has speed to charge at Arlan. When the shark gets close enough, Snowy, the ice spirit, create multiple layers of ice wall like Arlan asked. Underwater is one of benefit area for the shark, so as soon as it saw the wall, it turns its body as quick as possible to reduce the impact.
The shark turned to the left but couldn't stop its body from hitting several layers of ice wall which make its speed reduce by much. At this point, Arlan already casts a few magic to block its path.
Combining Ice Wall magic and Elemental Barrier magic to block its path, Arlan starts another magic to cast inside that barrier. It is Ice Explosion magic. Low level Ice Explosion is not that lethal if casted by normal mortal, especially those that don't have the mark of its respective element.
For Arlan, with 300% output damage on ice element magic, the explosion actually bigger and more lethal, plus, it is casts underwater where ice element magic will be enhanced and has twice output damage.
With that, the shark got hit by huge explosion of ice and got stabbed here and there. Although it was looked overkill, the shark magically survive from it and keep swimming to get further away from Arlan after his barrier runs out.
Now, Arlan casts another magic, Swordfish Summoning magic. He summons 12 swordfishes around him and makes them chase the shark and stab it. While the swordfish chasing the shark, Arlan follows along behind them. Now he uses the Ice Blade magic to make his sword has the element of ice, which sharpened the sword when used underwater.
The girls can only saw Arlan from afar, while the spirits helping him around. With the protection of water barrier, the girls didn't have any trouble breathing underwater while the spirits can stay underwater and breathe at the same time without water barrier.
Although they have a water barrier magic, they couldn't say anything to Arlan since they are far apart underwater. Their voice won't reach him.
In the same time, Arlan already charged at Three Head Shark direction. Just before they collided, Arlan makes a side step while underwater like there is a ground to step onto. His action was to avoid the Wind Cutter and Water Cutter magic from the wind-head and water-head shark.
After avoiding such attack, he cuts shark's lightning-head with ease. Since the lightning-head already cut, it won't be able to use the lightning barrier anymore. The three head shark become two head shark. Its blood was poured all over the water.
"Alright, now it doesn't have lightning barrier, I can cut it freely"
"So that is why you aimed at its head first"
"Well, the lightning-head is quite troublesome for me to fight underwater, so that one is a priority"
Now the head is gone, attack it in close range won't be a problem anymore for Arlan. Now, for the finishing touch, Arlan uses 4 magic at the same time. These four magic are Ice Wall, Elemental Barrier, Swordfish Summoning, and Ice Blade.
Ice wall is used for blocking the shark escape route, elemental barrier to block elemental attack like wind and water cutter, the swordfish summoning is for cover his main attack while the ice blade is his main attack.
Within few seconds after cutting the lightning-head, Three Head Shark was killed by Arlan while he himself unschated from the fight. Frightening as it is, but the three head shark is no match for Arlan that has a frightening experience underwater battle.
Almost same as when he beaten the Evil Dryad, got magic stone and gather some useful material from shark's corpse, but also he found some adventurers, well, just their corpses, flying around in the water.
Seeing this kind of thing is not a strange scene anymore for him so he stored their corpses right away into his Infinite Storage to bury them properly and let their family knew about it. It is sad, but this is how life in this harsh world.
After make sure nothing left out, they continue descending to the next floor, the fifth floor.
From the first 2 floors that they encounter before, now they already get used to the atmosphere in this tomb and no more struggle which made 2 hours exploration until reached the boss room.
The fifth floor is a normal cave, although the monster is far stronger than random cave outside of this tomb, but the structure was that kind of a cave. After leveled up from 2 floors before, Arlan still save his attribute points and always made proper magic before entering the boss room. This is happened until he reached the final floor.
At this moment, he found 3 survivors, 2 males and a female, and a total of 27 corpses. Not all the corpses remained full body, some of them got eaten and toyed around which make Arlan harder to keeps the corpses to bring outside properly.
There might some adventurer in first and second floor but since he couldn't go back to those floors, he only advancing forward.
In the seventh floor, there is no longer labyrinth feel in this floor but more like a grand temple inside a dungeon. This grand temple built with gold, gemstone, and some unique ornament decorated the temple. Inside this floor, no monster was spotted which make the exploration easier and less anxious.
