Damien still couldn't process what just happened? If not the phone call, they would have ended up kissing.
F*UCK , this shouldn't have happened. This will affect the new bloomed relationship that they created. This shouldn't have happened. What the hell was he thinking? How could he lose his control?
He cursed under his breath and ranked a hand through his hairs.
He is a mess and this is totally not right. He messed up. How the hell can he just forget his past? How can he forget her?
He is in a mess and can't afford any kind of affection from anyone. He is cursed. He lost his loved one and now he has lost a new bond that he created.
But why does everything with her feel right? Why every time he is with Vaidehi , he forget about how f*cked up he is? Why does his traitor heart find comfort in that warm smile and giggle of hers?
He has a battle to fight, and a secret that might be the reason for her hate. But or him that secret of his is his everything.
His life. His sanity. His last hope to rectify his mistake. A secret that is beautiful and painful at the same time.
He went near the nightstand and opened the drawer underneath it.
He held a picture and cared it with his fingers. A lone tear escaped his eye.
No, this is not the time to cry. He will do anything and everything to fight this.
But before that, he needs to keep a distance from Vaidehi. It won't be easy, he gulps a lump formed in his throat as he realised how hard it's going to be for him to stay away from her. But it is better than seeing the look of contempt in her eye.
His heart ached with an emotion that he couldn't understand.
He held the picture more tightly.
It's better for both of them, he repeated in his mind like a mantra.
He crouched down and held the picture close to his heart and sat with the support of wall.
Why is everything so difficult for him? When he thought that he could finally see some hope and happiness, he ended up losing it.
He didn't know when Vaidehi became so important to him ,when her smiles and her opinion became so important to him.
He looked at the picture and cared it before whispering, "Why does it hurt? Why don't I feel guilty? Why?"
He let tears flow freely before darkness surrounded him.

Vaidehi sat on the swing on her balcony and looked at the dark moonless night. Her mind kept repeating the incident that happened in the kitchen.
It was so wrong of her. This shouldn't have happened! How could she give in to him? It was not his fault. Both were equally responsible for this.
The only thing she didn't understand is-why didn't it feel wrong? Why did her heart feel it was right? Why everytime he comes near her heart starts to beat so fast? Why seeing him smile made her feel so giddy and happy?
She sighed and looked at the dark sky.
Sky looked dark and cloudy as if a storm was about to hit. Suddenly, she felt nervous and unknown fear creeped within her. A feeling as if something bad is going to happen.
She has to talk with Damien. This, whatever had happened might not be good for the bond that they made. They both have to talk it out like an adult and draw a line so that such a thing doesn't happen in future.
She felt her heartache with an emotion foreign to her. Suddenly, her traitor heart craved to be with him, know him and see the true and real him, see him smile everyday.
What the hell is wrong with me? She whispered to herself.
Suddenly, she felt vulnerable.
What if hates her after this? What if he distances himself?
She could feel a lump forming her throat and her eyes clouded with tears.
No, she won't let that happen. The first thing she needs to do tomorrow is- to talk with him.

Next morning, as soon as Vaidehi entered the dining table to eat her breakfast, she saw food was already prepared but Damien was missing.
And she realised that unlike everyday he went to the office early. Suddenly she could feel fear gripping her heart. That is so unlike him. They alway eat breakfast and dinner together. It has become their thing.
But today, he left early. Must be some important work. But she could feel something was wrong.
She quickly ate and got ready and headed to the office.
.
.
Entire day she could feel him ignore her.
She felt as if her fear was coming true. He acted as if she didn't exists, he didn't even ask her to get him coffee. Not only that, he didn't even annoy her with work.
She sighed and looked at him through the glass wall, suddenly, she felt as if this wall was not just physical but mental as well. Suddenly she felt distant from him. She tried hard not to cry but a lone tear escaped her eyes , which she quickly wiped from the back of her hand.
"Hey Vaidehi, can you help me with these files?" Ashton entered Vaidehi cabin and asked.
Vaidehi quickly hid her face and wiped her tears before looking at Ashton with a smile.
"Hey you don't look okay. What's wrong? Ashton asked worriedly.
"It's nothing. Tell me how can I help you?" Vaidehi said with a fake grin.
"Wow you will lie to me?I thought you were my best friend." He said and pouted looking down.
"It's Really nothing Ashton.Don't worry." She sighed and looked down.
"Come with me." He said and dragged her out to his cabin.
Once entering inside, he raised his eyebrow at Vaidehi and asked strictly, " What happened ,Vaidehi?"
Vaidehi, who was trying hard to control her emotions , felt as if the dam broke. She looked at Ashton and let her tears flow freely.
Ashton hurriedly held her and made her sit before giving her water to drink.
"It's his again, isn't it? I am not going to leave that idiot this thim." He said and was about to go out of his cabin in rage, but Vaidehi held his hand and shook her head weakly.
His heartache seeing her like this.
And before this goes out of hand he has to do something, He thought to himself.
