It was the the day after Maria visit.
Damien couldn't talk much with Vaidehi but he missed her presence. He miss her smile, she eyes that use to twinkle in mischievousness, and her silly pranks to annoy him. He missed everything.
He missed her.
He got up from his bed and quickly got ready. He need to talk with her. He though as he looked at the refection of him in the mirror.
He quickly ate his breakfast and headedout to his office.

Entering inside his cabin , he found Vaidehi lost in thought.
He frown ash he saw her smiling to to herself.
He cleared his throat.
Once.
Twice.
Thrice.
He glared at her seening her so lost in thought.
finding no other way he knocked on her table loudly.
Vaidehi jumped and got startled.
Realising it was Damien, she glared at him before sitting straight.
"Who is that person?" Damien asked with a straight face.
"Huh? What are you talking about?" She looked at him confusion.
"Whom are you day dreaming about?" He asked glared at the wall.
"And why do you think ,I should tell you? At least after what you did?" She raised her eyebrow and mocked a curious look.
Damien looked down in guilt and regret.
"I –"
"No, don't even utter that word because it doesn't suit you! " She said and got up clumsily.
And before she could pass Damien ,he lost her balance and they both ended up falling down.
Damien one hand snaked around her waist and the other cover her head to protect her.
Vaidehi closed her eyes and held his shirt tightly.
She slowly opened her one eye than, the other. She check if her bones are enact before sighing happily.
"I am not a mattress , you know?" Damien faked groaned.
Vaidehi quickly turned her head and gasped seeing his face so close to her.
She quickly tried to get up, but ended up tangling her foot and falling on him.
Damien groaned and snaked both of his hand on her waist to keep her in place.
"Stop moving, you will crush me!" He said with a groaned as Vaidehi struggled to get up.
"I said stop moving!" Vaidehi stilled , hearing his voice.
"Leave me! Or else I will poke you with pitch fork."
"No!" He whisper and pulled her closer.
"I said leave me! I am not a rag doll that you can treat me the way you like!" She struggled as tears clouded her eyes.
"Vaidehi please listen–"
"I said , LEAVE ME NOW!" She glared him though her teary eyes.
"Vaidehi but–"
"No!" She said and stood up and wiped her tears harshly with the back of her hands.
"You have no right! You lost it Mr, Ryder!" She whispered and run out of his cabin.

Damien tried his best to gain Vaidehi's attention but he ended getting ignored as if he didn't exists.
He sighed and sat on the his chair, trying hard to concentrate in the task on his hand , but his mind is filled with thought of certain someone with darkbrow eyes.
He messed up. He messed up big this time!
He tried to think of a way –to apologize to her.
They was he treated her was totally out of line. What was her fault , if he has a messed up past? He though and ran a ran throw his hair and let out a shuddering breath.
"Damien, here are the files from ShineIn."Ashton's voice bought him out of his thought.
He nodded and toyed with the pen in his hand in nervousness.
Not just Vaidehi, he in the process of distancing himself–he have hurt Ashton as well.
"Damien?"
"Yes?"
"You okay?" Ashton ask with a straight face, trying hard not to show his concerned for him.
"Yes, I am fine." Damien replied with a small smile before going through the files.
"You started lying to me now? "
"I am not lying, I am really fine. Why will I be sad?" He shrugged and tried to act but Ashton can and ended up smacking his.
"You are an idiot ,you know that?" He said and pulled Damien out of his cabin.
Entering his cabin , he glared and Damien" Say it before I smack your head with this paper weight!"
"I –I messed up. I am a mo–monster just like you said. " Damien whispered.
"Have you gone mad? Why this sudden though? And just because I onee called you monster ,,that doen't mean you are really one. I was angry and hurt , idiot. I –I never mean to say that word." Ashton looked down a let out a shuddering breath.
"You were right Ash. I–I have hurt both of you. I–I didn't knew what I was doing. I have hurt her terrible,Ash. She is not ready to even see my face."He gulped a lump formed his throat.
"Hey, it fine because you are regretting it now. And about Vaidehi that you don't worry she will forgive you in no time. " Ashton said and patted his hand.
"I am really very sorry. I can't tell you what had happened between both of us, but I promise I will happily endure Vaidehi's bitter words because i deserve it." He said looked down to hide his tears.
"Wow,you crying? And for the first time I have seen you so concerned about some that only mean that– "Aston paused and looked at Damien with wide eye.
"You like her." He whispered.
Damien just looked down.
"Now I get it– why you have done all of that. But Damien , there where twenty more way to do that, but hurting her was not the option!" Aston said and sigh.
"I–I can't. You know the answer to it,Ash. My life and me is not the right choice for Vaidehi." He whispered and gulped.
"ForGod sake! you are a human and it was not your fault and if you're worrying about her , than don't. Just tell everything to Vaidehi. She is a mature and sensible person, she will understand."He said.
Damien sigh and looked out.
Is it going to end even before it started?
