"Park in thirty" he asked making her smile and blush making it's way to her cheeks. She hung up her cellphone saying a yes. Quicky washing the remaining vessels, she headed to her room.
"What the hell??" her aunt shouted making her stop in her tracks.
She turned slowly pulling a brown strand of her hair behind her left ear. She was quite, just like always, waiting for her aunt to bash on her for silly reasons. Her green eyes were gazing at her aunt's brown eyes. "Finished everything?" her aunt spit out. "Vessels, floors, dinner, laundry everything is done" she replied at the mid thirties woman and she continued "my friend is very sick so umm... there is no one in her home and she kind of asked me to go" her head bowed down. After a pause she raised her head and asked "could I?". Her aunt looked sharply at her. After a minute, her permission was granted.
She turned away hiding her smile as she was going to meet her boyfriend. She immediately went to her room. She didn't even a spare a glance at the mirror since ten minutes already passed and the park takes atleast twenty minutes. The soft wind blew her long brown hair away from her face as she was running to board the bus. Taking a seat, she checked her watch. It was already 6:45pm. Her face turned towards the window, calming her breath due to all the running.
A smile crept her face when she saw his message 'I'm near'.
Her soft hands brushed her long curly brown hairs and she adjusted her dress. She was wearing a black knee length pleated skirt with a white shirt. Since it was cool, she had her only one jean jacket. She really liked to dress with fashion, makeup but everything stopped when her parents died. It was really a gigantic knot in her life and the situations also made her to be simple. Her closet is filled with the same clothes throughout the year. Rarely her aunt gives her money to buy her stuff but still she had to save it for her other expenses. She tapped off the dirt in her grey sneakers.
As her stop arrived, she stood up putting on her jacket. She was already five minutes late. She was about to reach the park, more specifically their usual place. It was not inside the park but outside, a little behind the park. Not very often vehicles pass that way but once in a while, because the park was already located in the outer area and this place was unknown to many of them. It was a beautiful scenario.
The brown rugged uneven swing was hung between the two huge dark green banyan trees from the wild branches crossing each other.
She saw his boyfriend sitting on the swing and smiling at her. His both hands clasped the rusted chains of the swing. His brown bangs were down reaching his even brown brows, with his brown eyes looking at her.
His nose scrunched as he was denoting she was late. "You are late" his voice blew through the air. "I'm sorry Justin. Stuff at home" she said sitting next to him. "Well a surprise tomorrow for my sweetheart for her college completion" he said taking her soft palms. "So did you enjoy your last day" he asked with excitement. "It was nice" her answer was simple.
It has been one and a half month since they have started dating. For Justin she was tough. She wouldn't easily accept but only after five months. "How was your work?" She asked him. "Good and June visited me today" he said. "Her birthday. She wanted to celebrate here. She is going to turn 20 just like you except her birthday is earlier than yours" he said patting her head. She smiled.
Though Justin always tried to make a move towards her, she always hesitates and doesn't give in. It was not because she didn't like him but because she was not ready. But today as the cool breeze blew and the dark sky displayed a little amount of stars shouting it was going to sleep. He just knew this time she may allow him.
I will have my first kiss she thought.
Today she was ready. His hands slowly and gently fisted her hair bringing her close. He looked at her eyes with gentleness. He pushed a strand of her brown hair behind her ear. She was indeed beautiful. There was no hesitations from her and he thought this was the right encounter. He moved his face forward to have their first moment.
Just when his lips were about to touch her rose lips a blaring horn and a powerful light startled both of them.
Her face turned towards the source. She was unable to open her eyes as the light was powerful. Suddenly the light was gone, rubbing her both eyes, she slowly opened it to see two black cars. Six men dressed in black suits stood before them. They were bulky and muscular, clean shaved, straight face. She noticed that they looked like bodyguards except why were they here. She unconsciously moved behind her boyfriend locking her hands around his arm.
One of the man dressed in suits spoke "Mam you have to come with us".
Her face was clearly in shock and fear. "Do you know them?" Justin whispered. She shook her head denying. "Listen bigboys you are here for the wrong person. So..." he was cut off when a hard punch landed on his face.
A loud scream ripped through her mouth on the sudden actions. When she tried to move towards him, a cloth was placed covering her mouth and nose. She thrashed in the strong hold with her eyes brimming tears. Her vision blurry with Justin fighting against the men in suits.
She didn't want to blackout, she didn't want to give up but her body became numb with her eyes shutting down completely.
