Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: Power

"Submit!" I said to her. As soon as I released the pressure off of her, she looked exhausted. "I understand…I submit." she said to me. "Take these next words I say to you like scripture, you will NOT be going to Thanatos anymore unless I tell you to. I will know if you do!" I said to her.

"Tailed Lilith." I called out. The tailed Lilith then appeared in front of me. "I see you're still in one piece." She said to me. "You expected anything less?" I asked her. "Only your downfall." She said with a smirk.

Meanwhile, Kitsune had a look of horror from the moment the tailed Lilith showed up. The tailed Lilith looked at her indifferently then asked, "What are you?" Kitsune was still frozen stiff by shock and didn't reply immediately.

"You got a problem with me?" The tailed Lilith asked a follow up question, a little pissed, after not receiving an answer from her first one. "You, why are you here?" Kitsune asked out loud. "Do you know me?" The tailed Lilith asked with her eyebrow raised.

"Of course, I do. You are *0][*1<{*}>0*][1*." Kitsune tried to say but then her voice got cut off as though there was a glitch in a matrix. A white light covered her mouth and space distorted around it. Her voice kept scratching and it seemed like she had no control of her body as her mouth kept going up and down.

"What the hell is wrong with her?" The tailed Lilith said out loud. I then scanned her body felt Theós' presence radiating off of her. However, it quickly disappeared. Kitsune seemed to be fine as she looked at us indifferently like the past events never happened.

"Kitsune, do you know her?" I asked pointing at the tailed Lilith. This was a good opportunity to get more information about the tailed Lilith as she had been a mystery all these years. I hadn't come any closer to finding out who she truly was or even what she was…her entire origin had been a mystery.

Kitsune simply shook her head and said, "I've never seen her before." "But you just…" the tailed Lilith spoke then was cut off after seeing me raise my hand, signaling her to stop. "She's telling the truth. I think I understand what's happening." I said out loud.

"Do you know Thanatos?" I asked the tailed Lilith. "Never heard of him." She answered still looking at Kitsune.

'The tailed Lilith is definitely different from Kitsune. Theós is clearly trying to hide something. Whatever it is, it can't be simple.' I thought to myself. "Let's go meet the locals." I said putting the matter aside. "Take us to the nearest town." I said to Kitsune.

"Follow me." She said then quickly took off running. We followed after her. In just a few steps I caught up to her, covering dozens of miles. 'Wow, I've gotten faster. I teleport so much I forgot how it feels like to run just to get somewhere.' I thought to myself.

Seeing me next to her, Kitsune got startled for a moment, not expecting me to have caught up so easily. She then quickly began to pick up the pace. I did the same in turn and was still able to keep pace with her. The tailed Lilith was also running next to us and didn't seem like she was pushing herself to keep up.

Armando was following closely behind us as he struggled to keep up since Kitsune kept increasing her speed. In about half a minute, we were already on the other side of the planet, way off from the supposed "nearest town".

Kitsune then rushed into a cave, following a network of tunnels. She finally came to a stop in the middle of a city, clearly fatigued, but tried not to show it. "Flying takes way less energy, much less. In fact, we could have been here in an instant. I can't believe you made me run like that in these heels. Now they are completely ruined." The tailed Lilith said to me in an annoyed tone.

Armando then finally arrived looking fatigued as well. "Stretching your legs once in a while isn't all that bad." I calmly said to her. "You! I want a rematch, you could only keep up because I needed you to follow me." She said to me unacceptingly.

Kitsune was most proud of her speed. Seeing a random come out of nowhere, defeat her reaper, and proved to match her speed was a stab to the heart. She felt like she needed this win.

"Why not." I said to her, giving her a smile. 'She thinks like a child, and is very confident in her speed. I'm sure she can reach even greater speeds than what she just displayed.' I thought to myself.

Now looking at my surroundings, I finally realized we were still in the middle of the city. It looked like a loud, crowded, medieval market place. Green skinned beings with four arms and tusks, complementing their faces, could be seen all over. These were the Asímians.

A few around us were whispering to each other and staring at us like we were the odd ones out. Others were either still buying or selling. Horses with six legs could be seen being ridden in the middle of the streets.

"Let's go." I said disappearing from the scene.

We were now in an alleyway where no one could see us. "I don't want all that attention on me, I just want to casually explore this place." I said out loud. This was the first time for me to explore a planet other than earth, so I was feeling a little excited for the experience.

"I need to get new shoes." The tailed Lilith said out loud then grew an extra pair of hands ripping two holes in the t-shirt she was wearing. Her skin turned green, and she now looked like a proper Asímian. She then proceeded to walk out of the alley on her on.

"Will she be okay all alone? She looks…fragile." Kitsune said to me. "She'll be fine. Hopefully no one pisses her off…for their sake." I said to her. I then looked at Armando and said, "Now, what do we do with you?"

"I shall go wherever you go my king." He said to me, turned into a cloud, then flew

"Umm…okay?!" I said out loud unaware that, that was possible. I then proceeded to grow an extra pair of arms and turned my skin green as well. With the white kilt and brown sandles, I looked like a proper Asímian. "How do I look?" I asked out loud. "Like a king." Armando answered from within the dark cloud.

I smiled, feeling slightly amused by Armando's comment then turned to Kitsune. "Will you be fine looking like that?" I asked her. She then proceeds to take the form of a young Asímian female. She looked around the age of 16.

'She really is a child.' I thought to myself. "Lead the way." I said to her with a hand gesture. She then proceeds to walk on ahead and led me back to the market place. As we walked in the middle of the street, we could see stands on both sides with foreign goods on them being sold.

In some of these stands, were what I think was supposed to be food. Although I saw people eating it, I wasn't a fan of eating anything that is still moving and stared back at me. There were also fine jewelry and exotic clothes being sold in the stands as well.

"Over there." I said, as I directed Kitsune towards a stand that piqued my interest.

It stood out as it was the only stand selling weapons and armor. I then spotted a black long sword, in a glass case, giving off an aura of death.

It had carvings on the blade, written in the Asímian language that translated, "To Die Is To Gain."

'When did I pick up on the Asímian language?' I thought to myself.

I then continued to examine the sword. I could tell from the aura it gave off that it's been through a lot of battles, yet it still looks brand new.

"You have a good eye sir. This is the legendary sword of the great Qatar Adolf. A brave soldier that single handedly brought down the revolution, killing dozens with just one swing. It's my prized possession." He said to me proudly.

'A little too exaggerated there. However, it is a good sword. Azrael would like this.' I thought to myself then picked up the sword.

"What's it doing here then?" I asked the Asímian man.

"Qatar is my family's ancestor. This sword has been passed down in my family for generations. "Yet, you're here selling it?" I asked in disbelief.

"I am the only one of my family left. There is no use hanging on to an old legend. I still need to get by." The Asímian man said.

'I wonder what happened to the rest of his family.' I thought. 'I killed them.' Armando said from within the cloud. This didn't shock me so I went on to take the blade out of it's glass casing and got a feel of it.

I tried to slightly bend it to test out its durability, but it suddenly snapped in half. I awkwardly looked at the shop keeper and saw his face was frozen stiff with shock as he looked at his once alleged prized possession.

I then slowly kept the two pieces of the sword back in it's case and said to Kitsune, "You don't mind paying the man, yeah?" Then awkwardly walked away. As Kitsune was paying the shop keeper, with a heavy heart, I kept on walking and taking in the air on this planet.

"This planet is amazing. The lifespan of Asímians is leagues above that of humans. They can live up to 200 or even 300 years. I can feel myself growing stronger each second. Even my senses have become sharper." I said out loud to myself with a spine-chilling smile on my face.

I walked on the street like I was on top of the world, I felt like nothing could stop me; nothing could stand against me. Then suddenly, a young Asímian boy, around the age of 13, bumped into me.

The boy fell on his butt, like how one would fall if they were to run into a wall. He dropped a bag full of what looked like fruits, similar to tomatoes, but without shape. A crowd of four Asímians seemed to be chasing after the boy further behind.

"THIEF!" They called out. I looked down at my kilt and saw a red liquid from the fruits smeared on it.

"Vermin!" Grayson said out loud, releasing his death aura.

Dark clouds began to hover above as a purple lightning storm raged within them. Grayson then summoned a lightning bolt from within the dark clouds to strike the boy down.
