Chapter 49 - Chapter 48: Hannah

The new man glared at her before he sulked away and picked up the man over one shoulder then walked away thinking how he taught her something new only to be treated poorly in return. Belen turned to Willow with a gapped mouth as he stared at the black hair man's back. Willow only shrugged in return and had him help her carry the woman instead seeing that Aki had done the work by himself while Willow was still a little weak to carry a person up the stairs unlike when she dragged Belen and the mother to another room back in that restaurant.

When they reached the second floor, Willow magical broke the locks in two more empty rooms before going into the one she had placed for the woman. Because Belen' room could only fit in two people, Willow couldn't put the two together as the siblings needed a guard and the mother was too weak to take in a roommate at the moment. So, she opened the two room and plopped the woman on her personal bed in the meantime.

Having give Aki his instructions, she shooed the injured demigod out of the room and proceeded to change her outfit into a clean bathing robe and covered her up in bed. She then took the clothes for washing out in a bundle she carefully wrapped.

After walking out with it, she was met with Akira who dumped the pile of clothes onto Belen before turning into a black cat and running back to the children's room. She didn't know how he managed to sneak out without the children noticing, but she'll catch up on that later. Willow shook her head with a sigh and began walking to the washing machine as Belen began nervously, "Sorry."

Annoyed, Willow frowned, "Does this place look like your house after spending a night here?"

She shook her head and continued, "Forget it. What's done is done. I've already placed a magic circle this time to confuse their tracker probably using your blood to find this place. It's already good that you know better than to use your phone in these parts."

Belen wore a frown too, but he didn't really mind that she wasn't too pleased as he said, "I already had my suspicions when I received a call from someone. However, from what you told me, I didn't want to get traced by using the phone here. So, I snuck out."

Willow nodded as she lead him into the laundry room on this floor and opened the two laundry machine for them to use, "That's good for you to be aware. So, did they find you that way?"

"It was just as you thought." Belen responded with a grimace, "They do have someone on their side using the phones to trace us."

"If they can use phones, let's not place our bets on a walk talky either." She added as she organized and dumped the clothes inside the machine, "Right now, our own strength and head is the best bet till we're clear that we can use our abilities."

"I agree." Belen nodded, "The enemy this time is much more difficult than Elijah."

"How did things go when they found you?" Willow questioned in confusion.

"They've sent Rayn and Hannah at me." Belen responded, "If you hadn't shown me the clip, I wouldn't have picked to knock her out first. From there, things were much easier. So, I fought with Rayn and knocked him out too. With my abilities, he was a lot more guarded against me, but his strength was weaker than mine, so I didn't even had to use my ability."

"And Serah?" Willow questioned with a raised brow.

"Nowhere to be seen, but I left with the two before I could let anyone follow me." Belen answered, "It was already suspicious enough that they only sent two people after me."

Willow nodded, "There would be two possibilities, then. One, they had someone hide in the back or they were too busy to spare more people to come after you. I'd bet on the latter if I were you, though."

The demigod raised a brow as he watched Willow walk away to the metal wire shelf, "Why's that?"

"You said that you saw Serah watch your battles often, right?"

Belen nodded making Willow continue, "Which would mean that she was in charge of the facility that housed you and the other demigods at the time. Like a office worker managing a big project for a company, should anything go wrong, it would be her fault and she would have to take the blame for it. To fix up her mistakes, she will have to pursue you with everything she has to recapture you or her siblings would find fault with her."

"So, that's why." Belen' eyes widen when he realized this, "Then, having someone hiding somewhere does sound a more likely idea-"

"Right on cue." Willow turned to him and tossed a bath robe to him as she continued, "My trap has been triggered just now."

When Willow had been fiddling with her spells yesterday and that morning, she had placed a few series of test traps for her enemy making it so that it would sense an intruder should they be further than five feet away from each other or by themselves within the array she had made. When she explained this to Belen, he frowned, "So, if I didn't carry those two back..."

"It'll be fine because the traps sensed your energy and those two were being carried by you meaning they aren't of any danger." Willow responded with a smirk, "However, those guys have been foolish and thought it would be fine as long as they can take advantage of the scent of your blood alone. Now, they've fallen into a trap and can't get out unless they have a certain type of ability. It's great that my test traps went off without a hitch. Perhaps, I can tweak it a little more the next time I use it."

Hearing her words, Belen shuddered nervously realizing how this demigod could show such a malicious side that was both wild and tame at the same time. He doesn't know how that was possible, but he swore that the demigod before him would be the best demonstration to those characteristic with her long black hair and sharp glint in her dark brown eyes.

Willow then turned around and walked out of the room as she said, "Well, I'll have some business to get to now that it's come to this. You should clean yourself up. I'll have dinner finished by the time I go back to the Li Yun's room."

After leaving the room with a single wave, she went on to give the two newcomers an injection and removed the worms from them with her new medication that didn't require surgery after her studies on the worm she had extracted from Li Yun.

By the time, she walked outside, she had Aki used his spell to ensure that they wouldn't be able to tell who she was as she put on her gloves and walked out the front door with her leather bag strapped on her belt. She had left her jacket back in the hotel and came out in her black turtle neck. Moving along the alleyways without much of a problem. She took her chalk and drew a new magic circle over one of her arrays. Then, she took her gloves and traced along the lines as a line of heat flowed into her fingers lighting up the magic circle followed by a heavy sensation she could sense in the distance.

It wasn't long afterwards when she heard a loud explosion in the distance and she smirked before leaving back into the hotel. She stretched as she walked over to the door with a satisfied smile and entered the interior. A pot of the left over soup was boiling with rice in it, which she had left for almost an hour turning it from soup into porridge, which should satisfy the kids and save her from using up all of her provisions.

After handing out the bowls of food to the family just around nightfall, she took the rest to have them prepared for Belen and their newcomers. According to Belen, the man should be called Rayn. She had seen their battle, but she never expected to see the two so soon after starting her mission.

Being who she is, Willow expected that they would've taken great measures to watch over her when they caught the woman, but that just wasn't the case. It had been her mistake to think that Serah would at least know better than to use that on them. If the girl was smart enough, she would rethink and refrain from further attacks on them for the time being and go find her siblings. Willow sighed in disappointment as she set the tray of food on the table across from the closed windows.

It was then that she noticed a groan coming from behind her as she turned around and saw the woman sit up with a grimace. She watched the woman mumbled, "What happened..."

As if recalling the incidents that Willow don't know of, her blue eyes widen in surprise and turned to looked around when her eyes settled on Willow who had already taken a seat and was eating from one of the bowls she had brought over. Seeing that the woman had awoken, Willow placed her spoon back down with a sigh, "You're finally awake. Took you a while, not that I can blame you."

She watched Willow with a frown on her face before she said in confusion, "Who are you?"

Willow grabbed a bowl and handed it to her, "Willow. You came back to conscious pretty quick. Your clothes are in the laundry."

"Where am I?" Hannah questioned in confusion.

  "Beijing of China. A hotel."

Taking the bowl from her hands, the girl looked to her in bewilderment as she repeated what Willow said in confusion to piece it together herself before she looked up in surprise, but Willow beat her to the punch instead as she said, "Eat first. Otherwise, we won't talk anymore."

Hannah stared at the food given to her in confusion. Willow shrugged, "If you're worried about the food, I'm eating the same thing from the same pot as yours."

Hearing her words, the woman shook her head in denial of her question with loss written across her face, "What's this?"

"Just some leftovers from breakfast I added rice too, so you'll regain your stamina quickly." Willow responded as she went back to the table and continued eating.

After hearing her words, she finally took up her spoon and began eating It wasn't long before she started slurping away as if she hadn't eaten for a good while. With that in mind, Willow left the room with her empty bowl and returned minutes later with an apple. By then, Hannah had just finished her food when Willow handed her the apple and took the ceramic bowl from her.

"What happened to me?" She asked curiously, "Where is..."

  She looked around in confusion.

"If you're looking for Rayn, he's in the room next to yours." Willow responded, "You two were both caught and manipulated according to an acquaintance of ours."

"We were caught and manipulated?" Hannah responded in confusion, "An acquaintance?"

"You and Rayn were sent to catch him, but he knocked you guys out and brought you back." Willow clarified, "The two of you are the only ones he came across."

"That's right..." Hannah muttered in shock as she noticed the bathrobe and the bandage shifting on her arm. She looked to Willow in confusion.

"There's a dangerous plague going around." Willow responded, "I just gave you the vaccine for it."

"A plague?" Hannah raised a brow in bewilderment.
