Felix stood by as his opponent was being made.
("I wonder what I'm going to fight?") [Felix]
The hologram went to work. A few lines of guidance and a few colorations were added. By the end of it, Felix was facing off against a tall humanoid wolf that held a comically large fork.
("...Is that supposed to be a trident?") [Felix]
Is what he thought, but the "trident" had four prongs.
("What is that?") [Adam]
"A werewolf." [Astos]
("...Never heard of it.") [Adam]
"Of course you haven't. They were erased thousands of years ago. It's not strange that they were lost to your world's history." [Astos]
The voiding lunged at Felix, stabbing at him with the large fork.
"Spatial Hardening." [Felix]
Putting a layer of solid space around his fists and legs, Felix engaged the voidling. He tilted his body sideways and grabbed the fork, attempting to pull it away.
("Huh? This thing's grip is way stronger than I thought!") [Felix]
He tugged away at the fork. Unfortunately, Felix lacked the strength to disarm the voidling.
("Fine. You can have it.") [Felix]
Still gripping the fork, he snapped it in half by punching the shaft.
"That was not very smart of him." [Astos]
The voidling became enraged, tossing aside what was left of the fork. It then pounced on Felix, claws extended.
"Woah!" [Felix]
He backed away by reflex. The voidling's claws scraped the air harmlessly, but it continued its chase.
"Hm… Your friend has good movements." [Astos]
Felix nimbly evaded the voidling's onslaught of scratches. However, there were a few instances where the claws would barely scrape some of his skin.
("That hurts! How realistic is this hologram?!") [Felix]
Feeling a bit cornered, he resolved himself to take a few hits to retaliate. Felix dove straight into the flurry of attacks and delivered a solid blow to the voidling's stomach.
"Gotcha!" [Felix]
The voidling staggered, allowing Felix to put it into a combo. He punched, kicked, and tossed it around with a grapple. He then ended the combo with another activation of his ability.
"Spatial Slash!" [Felix]
The voidling let out a yelp as it was knocked off its feet.
"What interesting abilities. Are all humans capable of using spells without formulas or chants?" [Astos]
"Why would we tell you? Actually, aren't you a god? You should be omniscient." [Krino]
Astos let out a low grunt of disappointment.
"Why is it that mortals are so stupid? Gods are neither omniscient nor are you omnipotent. Though, it may seem like we are." [Astos]
("Did you just call a sword mortal?") [Adam]
"Swords are included. They can rust and wither away. Such is the fate of mortals." [Astos]
In an attempt to process Astos' logic, Adam simply stopped thinking and watched Felix's fight.
("There's no way it's dead, right?") [Felix]
Guessing correctly, the voidling stood back up.
"You're a real tough bastard, aren't you?" [Felix]
The voidling was covered in bruises from Felix's attacks and a large gash going down its torso. Even then, it remained standing.
("Should I use Domain Expansion to finish it off?") [Felix]
As he pondered about how to end the fight, Felix's vision blurred.
("Eh?") [Felix]
His balance shifted, almost causing him to topple over.
("What's going on?!") [Felix]
He looked at his fingers, which were slowly turning blue.
("...Poison?") [Felix]
He glanced at the cuts on his body. Felix could see the skin around the cuts also turning blue, confirming his suspicions.
("They put real poison on a hologram?! Are they TRYING to kill me?!") [Felix]
His body swayed as he tried to take steps. Through his blurry vision, Felix could see the voidling coming towards him.
("Fuck it.") [Felix]
"Domain Expansion!" [Felix]
Timing it just right, he froze space right before the voidling reached him.
("Gotta kill it.") [Felix]
Unsure of how to do so while bare handed, Felix grabbed it by the snout.
("Let's try this.") [Felix]
Pulling it's head sideways, Felix turned it until there was an unnatural cracking sound.
"...That's brutal." [Orion]
The audience watched with mixed feelings. Some were in awe and some stared in horror.
("Almost there.") [Felix]
He continued to turn the voidling's head like a corkscrew. It was only until the head popped off that Felix took down his Domain Expansion.
"...It appears we have a winner!" [Blonde Girl]
She tried to make her voice sound cheery, but it could be heard that there was a bit of nervousness mixed in there.
"Please give him a round of applause!" [Blonde Girl]
The crowd clapped in unison to the request. However, there was one person shaking his head.
("I need to talk to him after this…") [Adam]
