As Arthur stared at Typhon, a bead of sweat slid down his cheek.
"So, we're fighting this guy?" [Adam]
Arthur nodded.
"He's Typhon, the knight of flame. Under the direct command of the Sovereign of Faith, and given the title of Titan. Out of the twelve, he ranks seventh." [Arthur]
"...And how strong is that exactly?" [Adam]
"He can match at least fifty thousand men." [Arthur]
("...Well damn.") [Adam]
As they spoke, Typhon placed his hands together as if he was praying.
"Requesting access to the celestial archive. Burn, and consume with the ferocity of a hungering serpent. Tenefidi." [Typhon]
Flame erupted from the palms of his hand. He began to separate them, revealing a long double sided spear within the fire. Its spear heads were enormous, as if they were two swords glued together.
"A soul weapon?!" [Adam]
Typhon grabbed the weapon, causing the flaming tongues to act out.
"Return to your cells, or step forward to be reduced to cinders." [Typhon]
Arthur gripped his sword.
"Adam, I'm only going to say this once. Don't die." [Arthur]
Charging forward, the two clashed blades.
"You cannot overcome me with a single arm, Arthur." [Typhon]
"Tsk!" [Arthur]
Their blades grinded against each other, causing sparks to fly.
"Los meas gundyr! Mind Arrow!" [Arthur]
A magic circle appeared behind Arthur, firing a transparent blue arrow at Typhon.
"Hmph." [Typhon]
Tilting his head slightly, he evaded the arrow.
"Is that all?" [Typhon]
Arthur smiled.
"No." [Arthur]
Typhon's vision shuddered. He had been struck behind the head before he knew it.
"The companion? I couldn't feel his presence…! Does he not possess any mana?" [Typhon]
Adam backed up, holding a spear that appeared to be broken in half.
"Damn his head is hard!" [Adam]
Looking at his spear, Adam tossed it aside.
"I commend you for managing to strike me, but that shall be your last." [Typhon]
Typhon glared at Adam with a gaze that carried an impending sense of doom. It truly felt like Adam would die the instant he moved.
("Ignore the feeling!") [Adam]
"Eyes on me!" [Arthur]
Pulling back for just a moment, Arthur withdrew his sword to unleash a barrage of slashes.
"..." [Typhon]
Putting both his hands on the spear, he wielded it skillfully. Using certain angles and footwork, Typhon managed to deflect or parry all of Arthur's slashes.
("A chance!") [Adam]
Quietly sneaking up behind Typhon, Adam leapt forward.
"Enough." [Typhon]
"Huh?" [Adam]
Adam's chest suddenly felt cold with a hint of pain.
"A… Adam!" [Arthur]
"Wh… at…?" [Adam]
Looking at his chest, Adam found a blade piercing it. Adam's gaze wandered to Typhon's spear, causing his eyes to widen in shock.
"It… Split…?" [Adam]
Typhon had split the spear in two, now wielding them as two blades. One of which had pierced through Adam's heart.
"I warned you." [Typhon]
He yanked the sword out of Adam's chest, causing him to stumble backwards. Blood poured out like a river, but Adam somehow held on.
"...Even with your heart gouged out, you still live. You're quite tenacious." [Typhon]
"You… Urgh…!" [Adam]
His vision turned dark and his body felt cold. Within moments, he collapsed.
("How… could… I die so… easily…?") [Adam]
Adam's eyelids felt heavier and heavier. Unable to resist the urge, he closed his eyes.

"Adam… Adam? Adam!" [???]
Hearing a voice call his name, Adam's eyes shot wide open.
"Adam? Are you okay?" [???]
Adam eyes darted around, finally locking onto the source of the voice.
"...Arthur?" [Adam]
"Huh? How do you…?" [Arthur]
Adam was stunned. Thinking back to what happened, he looked at his chest.
"My wound…! How?" [Adam]
His body was in peak condition. There was no blade piercing his chest, nor any tears in his clothing.
("What's happening?") [Adam]
Glancing around, he found himself in a room with a few knocked out guards and a piece of bread in hand.
("...Deja vu?") [Adam]
