"Wait wait wait! At least let me rest for a seco-Ack!" [Felix]
"Huh?! Why am I running in the opposite directio- Oof!" [Adam]
Within the zone Aurora created, the sound of flesh hitting each other echoed.
"Aurora, not the face! Not the face!" [Felix]
The two tried to run from the violent girl, but they couldn't escape. Strangely enough, they would run in the direction of Aurora instead of away.
("If I can't run, then I'll fight!") [Adam]
He charged at Aurora with a fist raised, but was met with an immediate blow to the stomach. The blow caused Adam to stagger, but he retaliated by grabbing her arm.
"N-not yet!" [Adam]
He tightened his grip, and turned to Felix.
"Do it!" [Adam]
"Do it?" [Aurora]
She turned to see Felix charging at her, but she managed to keep her calm.
("No signs of kicking or punching?") [Aurora]
After reaching a certain range, Felix leapt into the air.
"Have a taste of my drop kick!" [Felix]
He faced his feet forward, attempting to slam into Aurora.
"Well that sucks." [Aurora]
She raised a finger to intercept the attack, and Felix shifted towards Adam.
"Agh!" [Adam]
Felix crashed into Adam, sending the two toppling over together.
"Ugh! What the hell Felix?!" [Adam]
"Wha-?! I- That wasn't my intention!" [Felix]
"Bullshit! That went straight towards me!" [Adam]
"Chill out kids. It was me." [Aurora]
"Huh?" [Adam] [Felix]
Seeing as they didn't get the hint, Aurora laughed.
"Hahaha! You should see the looks on your faces!" [Aurora]
She pointed at their confused expressions while laughing. Aurora clutched her stomach as if it was in pain while pointing, but managed to calm down after wiping a tear from the corner of her eye.
"Hahaa… That was funny. Are you two going to get up or what?" [Aurora]
Adam and Felix glanced at each other and returned it back to Aurora. It appeared that they simply refused to stand.
"Uh… Maybe if you stop attacking us and explain." [Felix]
"Yeah! How about you try to NOT punch us out of nowhere." [Adam]
"...Listen. I'm the one training you, so I get to choose how I'm doing it. Get up." [Aurora]
"Can you at least tell us what you're trying to do?" [Adam]
"Dull your pain sensors." [Aurora]
"That's just plain abuse!" [Adam]
"Uh-huh, and?" [Aurora]
Her words left Adam speechless. He couldn't tell whether the girl in front of him had lost all sense, or if he was simply in the wrong.
"You're… You're crazy…" [Adam]
"Hm. Not really. I'm just doing what Sebastian asked of me." [Aurora]
"By beating us around? Yeah it works for a little bit of our hand to hand combat, but I can't even see our progress." [Felix]
"You want to see progress? Fine, let's try creating a zone." [Aurora]
"...Right now?" [Adam]
"Yes, right now. Hurry it up." [Aurora]
She crossed her arms and waited. It didn't look like Aurora was going to play it off as a joke.
"...I require instruction on how to do it." [Adam]
"Do Scout." [Aurora]
"Uh...huh…" [Adam]
Closing his eyes, he concentrated on letting mana leak out of his body.
"...Scout." [Adam]
The field of mana expanded enough to cover a house, but Adam was still clueless for his next move.
"Now try to imagine a room you're familiar with." [Aurora]
"How does that-" [Adam]
"Just do it." [Aurora]
Cut off from his question, Adam followed her command.
("Image a room I'm familiar with?") [Adam]
"Try your room from your previous house." [Krino]
("...If this fails, it's on you.") [Adam]
Pulling his room from memory, he brought the image to mind. The space around him began to distort and furniture began to appear around him.
("Oh hey, it's actually working.") [Adam]
As the room began to take form, Adam began to feel a sense of exhaustion.
"Adam! Watch your mana!" [Krino]
("My mana?") [Adam]
Upon bringing it up, Adam realized his mana was being drained at an alarming rate.
"Stop trying to activate Zone!" [Krino]
Adam attempted to withdraw or cut off the mana supply, causing the mana within the skill to fluctuate.
"Adam! Keep going!" [Aurora]
("What?!") [Adam]
Her words caused him to hesitate, causing his unfinished zone to shatter.
"Ugh!" [Adam]
He fell to one knee, breathing heavily. Adam tried to gauge how much mana he had left, but his mind was in too much disarray to manage it.
"Wh… What's going on?! My mind…!" [Adam]
"...It's the drawback of creating a Zone. The image of your Zone will mix with your thoughts, so most users go for something simple like my white space." [Aurora]
"Good thing I didn't go first…" [Felix]
"Now you can go second." [Aurora]
"Eh?" [Felix]
"It's not that hard if you go with something simple. Try to make a room of a different color." [Aurora]
Felix was unsure whether or not to listen, but he still ended up following her instructions.
"...Scout." [Felix]
Closing his eyes, Felix followed Adam's example of creating his Zone.
("Blue room… Blue room…") [Felix]
The Zone they were within began to churn with a different color, making the space half white and half blue.
"I… did it? I did it!" [Felix]
He looked around him in amazement, and Aurora applauded his achievement.
"Well done. How do you feel?" [Aurora]
"How do I fe- Urgh!" [Felix]
A feeling of nausea overcame him, and he lurched over to keep himself from falling.
"I… I think I'm going to vomit." [Felix]
"Ew, not in my zone." [Aurora]
She snapped her fingers, bringing the zone to a close. Their surroundings returned to the hallway of their house, and the two fell to the ground.
"I took the liberty of destroying your zone as well. Take a break. We'll try this again tomorrow." [Aurora]
