The week passed by peacefully. There wasn't any grueling training or anything similar to that, but it seemed that Mr. Frank was up to something.
"And that concludes my lesson. Class dismissed!" [Mr. Frank]
As the students picked up their belongings, Felix came over to chat with Adam.
"Yo, I heard Roy is coming over today." [Felix]
"...Now that I think about it, where was he the entire time?" [Adam]
The two were just about to leave, but Mr. Frank stopped them by the door.
"Adam, Felix. I need to talk to you two." [Mr. Frank]
("This doesn't sound good.") [Adam]
"Tiffany, stay as well." [Mr. Frank]
Tiffany tried sneaking away in the back, but he caught on. Mr. Frank gathered the three by his desk before speaking.
"So? Why did you call on us?" [Felix]
"Do you remember the first tournament you all had? When you three were rewarded with the champions certificate?" [Mr. Frank]
"Yeah…?" [Adam]
"It's time to put it to good use. I will be sending you all to a dungeon." [Mr. Frank]
"Huh?!" [Felix]
"Don't worry, I spoke with Mr. Willhelm. He'll be sending his team of champions to supervise you." [Mr. Frank]
"Why now?" [Adam]
"Because all champions are supposed to have a soul weapon. I don't ever remember sending Adam to a dungeon, but he somehow has one." [Mr. Frank]
("I'm just gonna… stay silent here.") [Adam]
"Since one out of three of you has a soul weapon, you will need to go through two dungeons." [Mr. Frank]
"One for each of us, huh… When are we going?" [Felix]
"Tomorrow." [Mr. Frank]
Although the trip was sudden, the students weren't even fazed.
("I'm not even surprised…") [Adam]
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
They were told the time and place to meet up before being sent home. Upon opening the door, a familiar face appeared.
"Hey guys! Long time no see!" [Roy]
("Ugh…") [Adam]
They walked past him without a single reply.
"Aw~ Don't be so cold~." [Roy]
"I would be less cold if you were there when we got kidnapped." [Adam]
"Well… I had things to do you know?" [Roy]
"We literally almost died." [Felix]
"That's just one of life's experiences." [Roy]
"Your mom is one of life's experiences." [Adam]
A small chuckle came from across the room. Surprisingly, it came from Sebastian.
"Really? That made you laugh?" [Roy]
"Sorry, it was so random that I found it funny." [Sebastian]
"Jeez… Sometimes I have to doubt your tastes." [Roy]
Adam glanced around, as if he was inspecting the room.
"Hm? Are you looking for something?" [Roy]
"I can't find Kilo." [Adam]
"The hell is a Kilo?" [Roy]
"It's my dog." [Adam]
"It's his tepac." [Sebastian]
"Huh?! You actually gave him a tepac?! Is that why we went to that nest?!" [Roy]
"Yeah, I thought they would need it." [Sebastian]
"...I can't believe you entrusted something that could flatten a city to some kids." [Roy]
"It can flatten a city?!" [Adam]
"As I said before, it depends on the owner." [Sebastian]
Roy walked over to Sebastian and grabbed him by the shoulders.
"I'll turn a blind eye to this, but I still can't believe you ditched me during the trip." [Roy]
"Sorry, it was an emergency." [Sebastian]
"Apologize louder~." [Roy]
He began to shake Sebastian, pleading for an apology.
"Cmon~ Cmon~." [Roy]
"Haa… sorry." [Sebastian]
"Louder~!" [Roy]
"I don't feel like it." [Sebastian]
"Meanie~." [Roy]
He shook Sebastian harder, but just stopped mid-way.
"I'm bored." [Roy]
He looked around to find something to entertain himself and he spotted a bowl of crackers on the dinner table.
"Oh~ A snack." [Roy]
He reached over to it, frightening Adam.
"Stop!" [Adam]
"Ow!" [Roy]
Adam slapped his hand away from the crackers, his eyes were full of determination.
"Those crackers are off limits." [Adam]
"O...okay?" [Roy]
"Sebastian, can you put a leash on this guy?" [Adam]
He looked at the TV, but Sebastian was nowhere in sight.
"Huh? Where'd he go?" [Adam]
A muffled voice came down the hall as he spoke.
"I'm in the bathroom!" [Sebastian]
"..." [Adam]
The conversation became somewhat awkward so Roy decided to take the lead.
"So? How was school?" [Roy]
"Fine." [Adam]
"...Any events going on?" [Roy]
"..." [Adam]
"Adam, why don't you ask Roy about the dungeon?" [Krino]
("Eh… I don't want to ask him.") [Adam]
"I know you don't really like him, but his advice is spot on. Remember how he trained you?" [Krino]
("...Fine.") [Adam]
"I'm going to the dungeon tomorrow, got any tips?" [Adam]
"Oh?! A dungeon?! That's great! My first tip for you is to kill everything in sight." [Roy]
("See? This is why I didn't want to ask.") [Adam]
"My second one is to watch out for traps. There will be symbols on the ground that will activate them, so be careful not to touch them." [Roy]
"See? This is why I did want you to ask." [Krino]
("...Whatever.") [Adam]
"Since you're going to a dungeon tomorrow, you should get some rest." [Roy]
He grabbed Adam by the shoulders and ushered him to his room.
"How did you know where my room was?" [Adam]
"I come by here often, of course I know where the guest rooms are." [Roy]
Upon entering his room, Roy pat Adam on the head.
"Nighty night." [Roy]
Although Adam didn't really like Roy, the headpats felt… comfortable.
("...Huh? Why do I feel strangely tired?") [Adam]
His body went limp, but Roy caught him.
"I'll send you off in perfect condition." [Roy]
After tucking Adam into bed, he placed his hand on Adam's forehead.
"Accelerate." [Roy]
