(Therlyn's POV)
I woke up, feeling something itchy on my nose... I touched it... Wait, why am I in an oxygen mask? Did I almost...
*Wait, where am I?*
As my brain was still processing of what's happening, I heard the door open. "Namjoon?" I whispered, but loud enough for him to hear. He stared at me for like a minute, and responded. "Therlyn? Finally! You're awake!" He said gladly, and hugged me after putting the food on the table. I started to cry again. Namjoon is Jin's stepbrother. But he works in a separate company apart from Jin. But they treat each other like real brothers. And the best thing about Namjoon is; he was like a brother to me too. Ever since then, I would open up to him about my lows and highs, and he would just listen and gives me advices right after. He was there when Jin joined the military. But sadly, he had to leave to go to Italy for work. I never knew I miss him this much. Now that Jin left me.
I MISS MY BROTHER...
"What happened to me?" I suddenly asked. "You fainted in the side of the road while raining. You had a high fever right after, so I took you to the hospital." He then removed the oxygen tube from my nose, knowing that I was uncomfortable with it. "I'm really sorry to ask you this, but what happened? I just came from Italy. I was on my way to see you and Jin-hyung. But instead, I saw you crying in the streets. Tell me Therlyn, what happened?" Then I answered, closing my eyes.
"Jin... he... left me."
"What?! Why??!" He asked, standing up and began walking back and fourth. "His dad set him up for an arrange marriage. I had no idea about it. And he said it's for the sake of their company."
He scoffed, knowing that he was right all along. "His dad... such a stubborn old man still. Don't wanna even see his son happy" "What do you mean?" I asked. At this point, I'm so confused right now, but not right after Namjoon said next, I was shocked.
"Mr. Kim set this up because...
He never liked the both of us from the start. He did this to get rid of us. That's why Jin-hyung had no choice but to grant his father's wish. He hates us, Therlyn."
"But why? He was so nice to me. He even treated me like his own daughter." I said, still in shock. "That's because he's been acting it out just for Jin-hyung to trust him."
"But what does that had to do with you, Namjoon?" I asked in curiosity. "We know for a fact, that he's not my real father. But he love my mother so much that he had no choice but to accept me. The real reason why I left the company was that he kicked me out, and lied to my mom about me quitting and going to another company."
I really can't believe this, the man we thought was nice, turns out to be a power-hungry monster. "What did your mom say when you talked to her?" I asked. "Well, it was a good thing that she believed me more than him. She knows that I wouldn't do such a thing. I'm sorry I never told you this. As much as we open up to each other like a brother/sister, I don't wanna pressure you too much with my side, knowing that it's much more severe." He said, as he sat on the chair, holding my hand.
"It's okay, Namjoon. I can understand that. But I just wanna let you know that I'm always here for you."
"Thanks, my little turtle."
Oh, how I miss that nickname. I began crying again and he hug me. And I hugged him back.
He knows how this little turtle is lost at her beautiful sea. The question is...
Will she find love again?
Yes... No... Maybe.
