Shawn roared, confused and enraged he ran towards the blue haired woman, hounds slashed at his cheek , it had attacked him from a blind spot. the group gathered around him and pummeled him until he drank his own blood. There was a sudden tumble amongst the suits. Shawn eyes started to blister, vision began to close.
"These are my Siblings..." Ealker explained. Shawn had been taken into a dark, damp room locked with a flicker of light isolated on its roof. The figures stood in front of this fool . Bacteria from the floor, outlined Shawn's body.
"Here's what's going to happen, Shawn"
"Excuse me?" Shawn coughed.
"We are going to sacrifice your body, rip out your eyes and sell them for everything they're worth."
Stuttering , shrieking and snapping Shawn pleaded for mercy. As they reached out to grab his eyes his pupils began to burn their skin until it reached their bare bones. Shawn screamed until they began to burst. One by one each of them had their heads burst smearing Shawn's face in blood. The man in red stared down at Ealker, only he remained, they both had the same idea. This battle had been killing both of them slowly. The room was silent, only drops of blood spoke. A thousand words could not describe this horror.
"No weapons , no tricks, no gimmicks. Just BARE hands." Shawn said.
Ealker agreed and untied him. They stumbled, wavering on their knees, throwing punches at one another. A punch would land another would miss. Rinsed with blood they would repeat this tedious and violent pattern until they both dropped on to a crimson floor. Floating in their fluid they began to pant.
" Goodbye ." Shawn choked.
He gathered all the strength he had and plunged his fist into Ealker's chest. Ripping his heart out Ealker sighed.
"I'll see you in Hell, you piece of shit." Ealker said.
Shawn made a ritual out of the blood on the floor, collecting the souls of the fallen. Shawn fell to the ground.
A month Later.
"Where am I?" a confused Shawn asked.
"I saw you lying on the floor dying out." Licas said. His eyes opened, he gathered his clothes, he thanked Licas for the treatment and left the mansion.
Return to the Present.
Licas explained, "The ending of this story is confidential. But the moral of this story is that soul extraction can lead to incredible amounts of pain and horror. Are you willing to make that sacrifice?"
The group looked concerned, David looked confused and concerned . Without hesitation, Weapon Man stepped forward and absorbed the pain that was contained in the two Time gears.
"Let's go." Weapon Man choked.
"Very well, may good fortune follow you" Licas said.
He vanished and the group was teleported in front of the Clock Tower building. As they stood there, gazing upon the city, a mesmerizing tapestry of history unfolded before their eyes. The ancient cobblestone streets, weathered by the passage of time, seemed to whisper tales of a bygone era, stories etched in black and white, recounting both triumph and tribulation.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow upon the scene, families gathered on the verdant green of the park, their joyous laughter filling the air like delicate notes of a symphony. They danced gracefully, embracing the spirit of celebration that seemed to transcend generations, bridging the gap between the past and the present.
In that poignant moment, a sense of reflection washed over them, as they contemplated the interconnectedness of life and the passage of time. The city's rich history became a mirror through which they glimpsed their own place in the vast expanse of human experience.
Amidst the jubilation and merriment, they found themselves pondering the resilience of the human spirit, inspired by the perseverance of those who had walked those cobblestone streets long before them. The laughter and the tears, the victories and the setbacks, all woven into the fabric of time, creating a mosaic of life that continued to evolve with each passing day.
In the soft embrace of the evening breeze, they felt an unspoken connection to the past, understanding that they were but fleeting participants in a grand tapestry of existence. The city's enduring charm and the laughter of families on the grass reminded them to cherish the present, to embrace each moment as a gift, and to forge their own stories that would, in turn, become part of the city's timeless narrative.
As the night descended, they left the scene with hearts full of appreciation, knowing that they had witnessed something far beyond a mere cityscape; they had glimpsed the essence of humanity, beautifully interwoven through the dance of time, past and present dancing together in a harmonious celebration. All that pain and anguish seemed worth it.
"The mission is complete and it's been a pleasure working with you people." Benji laughed.
They all parted ways, although Weapon Man was very confused as to the current events. Weapon Man decided to leave the planet for a while to clear his head. As David and Sarah walked through the city, on their way out, he seemed concerned.
Searching for answers, David sighed and asked Sarah.
"I murdered a man for no reason. Why do you think that?" David said.
"For our profession, you need to lack humanity . That's why we chose you." She responded.
As the sun came down, so did his mood.
"Don't you think that's scummy or awful ?" David asked.
She explained to him his situation and what's at stake. It didn't change David's mood , not that he was going to anything about it, they continued to walk in silence. They met up with the rest of the Senses at their new headquarters, named The Company. In the distant future, nestled beneath the vast expanse of the underground continent, lay an enigmatic and clandestine marvel known only as "The Company." Veiled from prying eyes and accessible through a network of concealed passageways, this subterranean lair served as the beating heart of a futuristic empire. Deep within its recesses, a colossal tunnel system thrummed with life, silently ferrying denizens of this hidden world up and down through the layers of their subterranean realm.
Upon entering the lair, one was immediately ensnared by a surreal ambiance that blended modernity with regal opulence. The vast chambers were adorned with shimmering surfaces reflecting a myriad of vibrant, ethereal colours that seemed to dance and intertwine like a celestial ballet. This awe-inspiring vision was achieved through advanced holographic technology, which defied the limits of imagination and conveyed an atmosphere of majesty.
Enveloping the walls were immense monitors that spanned the length of entire rooms. These holographic screens displayed an intricate web of data streams, constantly updated by enigmatic programs that operated with an almost sentient intelligence. It was a visual symphony of information, each stream representing a facet of the Company's multifaceted operations.
The Company was more than a base; it was a fusion of brilliant minds, dedicated to shaping the destiny of their world. Their pursuits encompassed groundbreaking scientific research, technological innovations, and socio-economic developments that redefined human existence. Every member of this secretive organization was united by a shared vision - to lead humanity into a future of boundless possibilities.
Within the heart of The Company's lair, the Senses lived - an elite assembly of visionary thinkers, engineers, scientists, and strategists. They congregated in a grand chamber where a colossal holographic table dominated the centre. Upon this table, they orchestrated their grand designs, tapping into the collective intelligence of the group to unravel the mysteries of the universe and the Explorer Association.
"Welcome back, Everyone." Hatred smiled.
