Chereads / Lionel's DownFall / Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

When I wake up, I'm in a dark room, the only light coming from the single computer in front of me. I weakly glance around, sweat beading at my forehead. Why do I feel so weak.. Where am I?

"Hello My darling...," A feminine voice echoes from the shadows. I turn, seeing a flash of pretty dark hair.

"What do you want... Where am I? Who are you?," I demand, my sore throat quenched with thirst. I heard her giggle as she leaps out of the shadows, kneeling down in front of me. My breath catches. Beautiful black locks descend her back, her beautiful eyes glowing a scarlet, like blood. She smiles, her innocent features striking me like a fist to the face.

"Oh darling... All I want is you... You're with me, and I'm your new darling!" She sings happily, sitting in my lap. Her arms snake around my neck. I freeze, avoiding eye contact.

"Why am I here? What do you mean you want me.. Please just let me go!" I beg. Suddenly her eyes darken, her hair falling into her face. My heart stopped. I've never seen a smile like that...

"Let's get straight to the point. You're a strong little cookie... So... ," She turned, grabbing a blade off the table, her red eyes seeming to glow.

"I'm going to break you and reform you into something better,"

Magnus

"What do you mean hes missing?," I demanded angrily at the police staring me down from the hospital doors. My mother sat next to me, her gaze locked on the floor.

"He was kidnapped last night from his hospital bed. Do you have anything you can tell us? Did you see anything?," He inquired. I shake my head, my hands moving to cover my face. Why now? Why does that nerdy no good bastard have to be kidnapped now? I looked up, glaring at the cop.

"Actually... Last night, around midnight. I was getting a drink. There was a blonde man just searching the halls. He claimed he lost his room, but he wasnt dressed the part so I stayed put of it. He had silver eyes too. It was strange. I got bad vibes from him," I looked down at my hands once more.

"Thank you Magnus. Well inform you if we find your friend," They promised, before leaving. I continued to stare at my hands, fear and regret weighing on my chest.

"Magnus... What is your relationship with this boy,?" My mother demanded from besides me. I turned, looking into her blue eyes, a shade lighter than my own.

"I hate him. I taught him everything he knows about how to fight. To survive outside home. Yet he repayed me with stabbing me in the back and turning against everything I believed in. He chose to spread his wings as he said. Took what I taught him and left me in the dust, always looking down on me since. ," I looked at her.

"Yet hes the only one who understands me. Who accepts me for the person I am. He hates it sure but he never asks me to apologise... He makes me vulnerable and I hate it. He just has that way with words, It-Its infuriating!!," I finished with a breath. My mother's jaw was dropped, her eyes narrowed at me.

"Thats.. a lot to take in, But I can deal. Does he know he makes you feel that way?," She asked, turning to face me even more. I shook my head, angrily glaring at my fists.

"I doubt it. All that damn nerd cares about is getting the last laugh. That's it. He wants to prove hes more than he truly is," I grumble. My mother laughed at me, slapping me upside the head.

"From what I've seen of that kid, he looks up to you. He doesn't look down on you at all. I think you just want to prove yourself to him," She retorted, before standing and leaving me in the silence of my room.

Me, trying to prove myself to him? Ti the nerdy jackass who broke his fist to embarrass me? It was obviously his way of saying. I took pity on you. I could've crushed your head in but I didn't. I can almost imagine the smirk he must've had afterwards.

I shake my head, turning on the tv. I stopped, a chill going down my spine.

"Lio... Where are you?,"

Lio

Hour after hour, The strange girl who kidnapped me tore my limbs apart and rebuilt them. Again and again, slicing off my toes, my fingers, anything she was willing to get rid of and repair almost instantly.

Screaming was the only sound I'm used to in these few hours. My throat is sore from it. My hands and feet always in constant pain, My body always soaked with my own blood.

"Hello Darling... We need more blood... We need more limbs too!," She giggles. I shake my head weakly, my face caked with sweat.

"PLEASE ILL DO WHATEVER YOU WANT!! JUST STOP! PLEASE!," I pleaded desperately. She giggled, her face dripping with my blood. Some had already dried. Most hadn't.

"Oh darling. I wish I could," She pouted, before her sinister smirk reappeared.

"But I WANT TO HEAR YOU SCREAM JUST ONE MORE TIME," Next thing I knew, the room was painted with my blood.

Magnus

It's been two weeks since Lio's abduction. Still no word. Still No leads.

Once more the world around me was dark. Without him around, everything was different. It was so... Exhausting. As I walked through the halls, I would keep my head down. Remain silent. Dammit why is everything so different when hes gone.

After school, I would walk home and just endlessly watch tv, hoping maybe. Just maybe. Theyll have something. But not once did they ever come any closer to finding him. That last night I decided I was fed up with waiting. I picked up my phone.

"Charles. Ryan. Sarah. I need your help,"

" What is this?," Sarash demands in disgust as she holds a pair of Lios gym shorts. Ryan and Charles continued to stare at me, confusion littering their face. I look down, huffing angrily.

"I got sick of waiting for the cops to find him. At this rate if they do find him, itll be in a ditch somewhere. Sarah, I heard you have a tracking power?," I asked impatiently, tapping my foot. She nods.

"If I smell it, I'll be able to catch his scent even in the most washed up places for an hour. Do I have to smell his gym shorts?," She complained. I grinned, cocking my head.

"Would you rather it be his underwear instead?,"

As soon as the words came out my mouth, she shoved her face straight into the dirty shorts, taking a long deep whiff. I laugh as she pulls her head back, glaring at the three of us.

"Hes this way," He growled before taking off.

Lio

How long has it been... I've lost count in here. Am I stuck here forever? At least the pains done and over with. I lean over in my chair, my eyes fixated on my black toes, the same ugly color as my fingers. Half my body is covered in frost from that crazy bitch and her knives. I cant even feel anything in my feet anymore. Smiliar, my hands were in constant pain, how ever the pain was more like a drunkening buzz, that rung throughout my body.

"Hey. . I'll do what ever you want me to do.. I promise. Just untie me and we can talk this out," I murmured, looking up at the glass ceiling.

"Now that's more like it. Before was a moment of panic... of desperation. Right now you're calm under that desperation and doing what you need to in order to survive. That means you're changing. So my darling, Let's talk," She retorts, before slicing my ropes. I lower my head to see her.

"Lets make a wager"

Magnus

This is it. The creepy place they're holding him in is huge, being an abandoned asylum. It shut down a few years back when an anonymous buyer bought it out, and shut it down to destroy for construction.

I feel the palms of my hands burn with anticipation, sweat rolling down my neck as fear for what were going to find next grew inside me.

"Guys, I smell blood... I smell a lot of it," Sarah whispered, her eyes wide with fear. A chill rolled down my spine. They could have ripped him to pieces and put him back together in the time that they even searched for him.

"We do this quickly. We go in, and out. Avoid confrontation," Charles commanded, taking charge.

"Too late... What are those things," Ryan inquired, staring straight ahead. Out of nowhere, several different warriors made of black ice stood between us and Lio. My body erupted into flames.

" They're warriors of ice.. Similar to Lios ice. I dont like this," I retort. I'll save him. Even if I have to die doing so.
