Chapter 2 - A Woman Called M •••

"...are you implying what I think you're implying?" I finally open my burnt mouth and speak like it's not stinging at all.

She smiled for a second and walked around me where the cups and plates are, searching through them.

"Whatever do you mean?" She said so innocently while putting a cute little apron. Crossing her arms, she leans on the counter and smiled at me. Her smile joining the rays of the sun in murdering my eyes.

My squinting eyes fell on her smiling lips. They actually look so soft. I rub my face with my hand. Stop it, Athena. I feel myself blushing, embarrassingly.

"Haven't stayed in the morning in a one night stand before?" The brunette said teasingly, moving to open the refrigerator and rummage through it, "I thought you've been gone by now to be honest."

Yep, I thought I've been gone by now too but of course we meant it differently.

'Still not curious, your highness?'

Not now, voice in my head that I don't know of.

'That's kind of mean.'

"I would have, if I didn't think this was my apartment" I said distractedly feeling suddenly out of place. Seems like she's staying at the same place as me? What a coincidence. Yep. Just a coincidence.

She chuckles and turn her head to face me, a smirk playing on her lips, "Oh? I thought it was more in the lines of having this as your first time." Then she gave me a single shoulder shrug, "If you didn't tell me a lot of times that you haven't done it before I wouldn't have guess."

I never thought air can choke me up so bad that now I'm on bended knees coughing my lungs out. I never felt this embarrassed before. I mean I've been caught by mother smoking weed and dancing naked at the same time but it didn't made me choke up like this after she told me in detailed form the morning after.

After a few minutes I slowly looked up finally after almost dying in some stranger's flat to see her face barely inches from mine, smiling.

This is some creepy crap. Reminds me of those cheesy corny horror movies.

"For a person named after the goddess of war, you seem pretty soft to me," she whispered, locking eyes with me. If you think making long eye contact at a close proximity with a person you barely know is so strange, what more if you're doing it on a squat like position in the kitchen with one of you trying to breathe normally and the other holding a frying pan in her hand.

"Will you stop that?" I bit the inside of my cheek as I keep the staring contest with her, trying not to back down. It did not help that her eyes are so wonderful to look at. They're like art, like different colors exploded when she opened them the first time. Uegh.

'You're a poet now?'

Yea, here's a poem for you:

Shut up,

Before I punch you up

To the ceiling, down to the floor,

Left to the window, right to the door.

Nice right?

'That's not even possible.'

Wanna bet, sis?

'Shutting up now...for awhile.'

"Stop what..?" I blinked. Oh yea, I was talking to someone. It actually helped that she's almost literally on my face.

"The teasing." I squeaked out involuntarily because it also doesn't helped that she's almost literally on my face.

She shot a brow upward, challenging me, "Sure, only if you tell me what my name is."

"Alright." I straighten up. Confident. Laughing nervously while I'm at it, mentally and physically. That's when you know I know I fucked up.

I totally forgot what her name is but she doesn't know that.

"Hm, you did say it a lot last night so I think you must remember it, huh?" She said it so playfully that I really wanna dig a hole and let my self fall down to my death.

"Yes, definitely." I answered her absentmindedly while looking around the room searching for a clue. Anything that will give a way a name that's definitely hers. Only clue I got was the letter M that's fancily sewn on the long shirt she's wearing, which is on her chest that I'm currently staring at. That's a nice chest.

Oh...No.

I looked up at her face to see her already looking up to me. Which is not really surprising since that's the what she's been doing since she grace me with her presence.

"You do that a lot huh?"

"What?"

"Stare at them."

"I was looking at the M part!" I pointed at it, not really helping me in this situation. I'm such a mess.

"M par-" She looks at her shirt, brows raised, "Oohh so you don't remember your lover huh?"

Giggling, she turned around and turn on the stove. Maybe I can run now, if her apartment is like mine, the front door is a few steps away. I'll sneak out and never speak of this again. I'll just play birdbox whenever she sees me until one of us moves out.

But yes, of course. My still stinging mouth wants to do other things. No sex joke intended.

"Last time I check the only lover I have is Zazzles." Damn, I'm so lame. I even got my cat into this, "But yes I don't remember anything since I went out with my friends last night."

"Well, that's unfortunate." I nodded, not really knowing where this conversation is going. Like my life. Hah.

I heard a toaster timer and at a blink of an eye she trapped me between the counter and her body, "Want me to help you remember?" Her voice become more seductive and her hands leaving feathery touches on my skin. Man, this woman is fast. Looks like I just met the Flash. Flash is a woman.

With the last ounce of self control, I stopped her hands by grabbing them and put them between us.

"I thought this is a one night stand? Shouldn't you have me kick out of your home by now?" Finally, I said something that make sense. I need one more cup of coffee though. Maybe also a taser to wake me up further.

M, yes I'm calling her a letter, tilted her head and possible got closer to me til our noses are touching. Good grief woman. People are dying. People is me.

She stared a little bit more, before grinning, "Okay. I had my fun" she squeezed my hands with hers that definitely smelled like vanilla.

".. I lied." then she pulled away, grabbing the bread she toasted, putting it on her mouth like the people in anime.

I just stared at her, unblinking.
