Ari stood in front of me. She looked so beautiful in her wedding dress. Her smile lit up my heart and she gazed up at me. Our eyes met and I realized once again how much I loved her. How much it made me happy to stay close to her.
"Lian Kai, do you take Ari Heart as your lawfully wedded wife?" The priest asked.
"I do," I said without any hesitation.
"Ari Heart--" Suddenly, I wasn't standing beside Ari, but I was looking at her and…Bai He? "Do you take Lian Kai--"
No…I looked down at my hands and the ring was gone. I was now sitting beside Cao Yu and he looked at me and asked, "Aren't they beautiful?"
"--as your lawfully wedded husband?"
No…Ari, I'm here…That's Bai He…
Bai He was smiling broadly. He looked at Ari as if he was Lian Kai!
"I do," Ari said and I jumped up at once. However, I was glad that I woke up because the church, now turned into my room. My chest ached. I was sweating profusely and a painful sting was at the back of my head.
I pushed back my hair and looked beside me. Dai Ah was sleeping soundlessly. He was snoring actually, and I wondered what kind of dream he was having.
I envied him because he didn't have anything to worry about. He didn't have a girlfriend he had to prevent from marrying someone else!
I was about to go back to sleep when my alarm began to ring loudly. I switched off the alarm and wriggled my legs like a kid because I was still sleepy and I wanted to sleep some more before we would shoot our CF.
Dai Ah got up like a mummy before me and went to the bathroom. I got out of bed, wore my shirt and pant, and went downstairs. No one had woken up yet, which was a good thing because then no one would stop me from going to Ari's house.
However, right when I was about to leave with the Manager's wallet that was fortunately on the dining table, someone called out to me. "Kai? what a surprise, you're awake before of us."
It was the manager.
"Did he have to wake up now…" I muttered under my breath.
I turned around and sighed. "Morning."
He rubbed his nape and squinted at me. "Where are you off to?"
"To see Ari--"
"Don't you know we have to leave for the shoot in an hour?"
"Yeah, I'll be back before--"
"No," He crossed his arms. "You're not going anywhere. Freshen up and get ready."
"But Manager--"
"I said what I had to. If you leave that door, you're out of the band."
"What?!" I strode towards him. "Isn't that too much?"
He lightly slapped my head, "Nothing is too much with you guys. Now go to your room. Quickly."
I clicked my tongue and sluggishly went to my room to freshen up.
I got out of the shower and went downstairs to get some breakfast.
Some of the members were eating already.
"Oh, Kai, morning." Cao Yu greeted me. I was slightly annoyed so I didn't greet him back. Instead, I just plopped down and grabbed a buttered toast with jam that was lying on the table.
"What's with you today?" Sun Ming asked.
I hurriedly ate the toast while looking around and noticed that some of the members weren't there.
"Kai," Sun Ming called out again and I looked at him, chewing rapidly. "What's up? You seem angry."
"I am," I swallowed. "Manager didn't let me go to Ari's house--" Cao Yu and Sun Ming suddenly shared glances, but Impulsively, I kept on going. "And I thought I would go and try to explain to her mom about everything."
Cao Yu sipped his coffee and nodded. Sun Ming nodded too.
"What?" I asked.
"What?" They asked back.
"Is there something you want to tell me?"
"No." Sun Ming said.
"Not at all." Cao Yu said.
"Morning guys," Lin Wuying suddenly appeared from nowhere and grabbed the toast from the plate. "I seriously hate Bai He for taking away my wallet even though I told him not to!"
I frowned.
Cao Yu coughed and Sun Ming abruptly left the dining table. Lin Wuying sat beside me.
"Wuying, did Bai He go somewhere?" I asked.
"Linny!" Cao Yu shouted unexpectedly. I flinched and Lin Wuying was about to drop his toast.
"What?!" Lin Wuying asked, placing a hand on his chest.
"I just remembered; the Manager told me to tell you to meet him outside--"
"I never said anything like that." This time, the manager appeared out of nowhere while wearing his hood and cap. "Though, Wuying, I can't reach Bai He. Can you call him and tell him to finish up the work quickly? The schedules tight and we can't afford to waste any more time." He took the last slice of toast that was on the plate and ate it.
"Where is Bai He?" I asked, glancing at everyone.
Cao Yu sighed deeply while adjusting his cap. Lin Wuying froze in his place and the Manager was busy licking his fingers.
"I asked--"I slammed the table and at once, the glasses and the plates shuddered. "Where is Bai He?"
"You scared me…" The Manager mumbled.
"He went to--" Cao Yu was about to speak when just then, Cheng Yi spoke from behind me. "He went to Ari's house and If you want to show your anger, show it somewhere else Kai because this isn't the place."
I gulped my anger and irritation at Cheng Yi's words, but the thought of knowing that Bai He was at Ari's house now, made my pulse rise and body heat uncontrollably.
I got up and glared at the Manager, "You let Bai He go and not me?"
"Yeah." He nodded nonchalantly.
"Why?"
"Because he is Ari's fiancé." He said matter of factly.
I was about to jump at him and maybe even ruin his not-so-beautiful face, when Cheng Yi and Lin Wuying stopped me from doing so.
"He is not Ari's fiancé!" I yelled. "And I am going to her house right now!"
I pulled off Cheng Yi and Lin Wuying's hands from in front of me and was about to walk towards the door when suddenly, I got stopped by my arms. I looked back and it was the Manager.
"You're not going anywhere until the CF is done. And how dare you yell at me!" He grabbed my ears, twisted it--"Ow! it hurts!" and dragged me back to the table. "Finish your breakfast and get ready," He looked tersely at the rest of them who came down after hearing the commotion I caused. "All of you." And he left the dorm.
The rest of the members were frozen as if they were waiting for some kind of a monster to leave us.
"Uh…What happened?" Shi Qiu asked and Cao Yu sighed.
