The attacks on your troops or the stolen weapons. So you know how's behind it? I can help you with that. In a week's time it will be over."
Alex already knew the answer to the question, he laughed for the stupidity. And the courage of the man.
He took a deep breath to calm himself. His beast was thirsty for blood. He was restless, anxious calling to be set free in order to destroy. His body shook as he fought to take control, his chest rose and fell in disoriented movement. He was so close to shifting and no one would be able to stop him.
It was weird, terrifying for him even. Especially that he never lost control. He never let his beast win him over. He always was in charge, for that he was the best and the strongest in the realm. However, tonight he was not, because they were so outraged. And his beast knew one thing about that: his need to kill. Kill them all.
After a while he reopened his eyes and stared at the man in front of him.
" I came here for one reason and one reason only. I come to win an alliance with you a daughter as a Queen and you will get thousands of men at your command, what do you think?"
"Ah your back to the marriage thing, and I for a moment thought you were done. Your household sure knows what's best."
He ran his hands through his raven hair, and walked toward the window. He was despaired and Alex was his only hope. And with each second that passed, he started to doubt that the king will go along with his plans. He was cornered with nothing to loss. With that he didn't have much of a choice. I need to use it now, he brokenly thought.
"The attacks are just the begging" Patrick announced.
The emperor's smirk only went wider the show is becoming better and better.
"But that doesn't change anything she is my daughter and she will do anything to please you" Patrick announced, exasperated with his twisted situation. He backed a couple of feet repeating his plead.
Alex squeezed the arm of his throne until it was about to fall into pieces. Tonight started as a peaceful as possible, but it will end so bloody.
The young king's face turned to vivid fire by now. God only knows how much restrain he was putting to contain his beast, from leaching out and burn the place to ashes.
Since, he couldn't understand the huge urge to gain the power. Giving his daughter. That wasn't the first time to hear such a thing. His first thought about her was: an arrogant girl. A spoiled, seductive brat, one that can't understand the word "NO". Her daddy's princess. And now she was his problem to deal with. His pain in the ass to cope with.
"What do you think your majesty, it is a good deal." Patrick questioned as the sounds of the soldiers racing towards the room broke the tension, and the silence between them.
" I think you forget to whom you're talking to. If I can remind you am your king. You can't come into my castle and boss me around as am one of your servants, that's my job not yours." In an uninterested tone he answered. Slow but deadly.
Patrick understood that his king has been angered.
Running inside breathlessly, one of the guards entered the throne room like he was on fire. Alex pulled his gaze towards him? Expecting the declaration of war. Instead the man stood barely breathing, bowing his head in total respect saying:
"My king, the…"
Alex laughed, for the stupidity of the situation. Turning towards the pail guard and the man in front of him, he waived his hand and a wave of raw, pure power emerged through him turning the poor men into a pile of gray ash. Without scream, without suffering. Without a bit of a mess they were gone as if they have never been there at all. Uncaring Alex pulled at his whit furry cape that was covering his bare shoulders and walked with gracefulness out of the room. Walking through the remains of the men, clueless to what they once were. He cleared his path through the dust as if nothing ever happened.
And indeed nothing with significant happened.
Dame him, he cursed "he ruined my mood"
