As this thought flashed through Ōtsutsuki Owl's mind, a pained expression appeared on his face.

His body began to swell, and countless Byakugan eyes emerged around him, making him look like a terrifying monster.

Despite his current strength, he was still no match for Asahi.

At the highest levels of power, even a small difference in strength can create a vast chasm between opponents, a universal truth across all worlds.

Thus, despite his efforts, Owl was grievously injured by Asahi's earlier strike. Seeing Owl in this state, Asahi frowned.

Though he had faced many perils before, Owl's grotesque transformation made him uneasy.

He sent a burst of energy into Owl's body, but it didn't cause any harm.

Instead, the energy caused the Byakugan floating around Owl to rise into the air, gradually forming a giant Tenseigan.

Owl, now collapsed on the ground, panted uncontrollably. At that moment, a door creaked open, the sound echoing clearly in the otherwise silent environment.

Asahi's attention was drawn to the noise. A child, about seven or eight years old, appeared at the door.

Despite his young age, the child bore a resemblance to Owl.

The child's otherwise handsome appearance was marred by the emptiness of his eyes, giving him a frightening look.

The child stepped out confidently despite his blindness, having memorized the palace's layout.

But now, with the palace nearly destroyed, he misstepped and began to fall. Seeing this, even in his weakened state, Owl cried out, "Toneri!"

His agitation caused him to cough up more blood. Despite his deranged devotion to his clan's creed, Owl was still a father who cared deeply for his child.

He wasn't worried about Toneri's stumble—under his training, Toneri was already a capable young ninja. His real concern was for Toneri's life.

The continuation of the Ōtsutsuki lineage and his paternal instincts made Toneri's safety paramount to Owl.

He couldn't rely on Asahi's mercy for Toneri's survival, knowing Asahi was his enemy. But would Asahi harm a defenseless child? The answer was no.

As Toneri stumbled, Asahi disappeared from his spot and reappeared in an instant, catching the boy before returning to his original position.

In the next moment, Asahi caught Toneri and returned to his original position. Toneri felt a brief sense of disorientation before hearing Ōtsutsuki Owl calling his name.

Despite sensing the presence of a stranger nearby, Toneri remained calm, trusting his father's presence. He responded, "Father, do you need anything?"

Ōtsutsuki Owl wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and, after glancing at Toneri, looked directly at Asahi. He was puzzled by Asahi's intentions.

Was Asahi planning to use Toneri to threaten him? Asahi met Owl's wary gaze without speaking and gently led Toneri to his father's side.

Toneri felt a warmth in his hand, an inexplicable sense of comfort and security, something he had never experienced before.

As Asahi brought Toneri to Owl's side, Owl struggled to sit up and asked Asahi, "What are you trying to do?"

Ignoring Owl's question, Asahi countered with his own, "Is it worth it?"

"What?" Owl asked, confused by Asahi's words.

Asahi explained, "Is it worth sacrificing so much to destroy the shinobi world?"

Owl scoffed and replied, "Of course, it's worth it. This world is flawed, and our Ōtsutsuki clan must correct that flaw by destroying it!"

Owl's fervent declaration heightened the tension in the air, causing the young Toneri to shrink back, unsure of what to do.

Seeing the fanatical look in Owl's eyes, Asahi shook his head and calmly said,

"You're wrong. It's not worth it. You claim the shinobi world is flawed, but have you truly experienced it?"

"Without first-hand experience, how can you judge the correctness or incorrectness of a world?"

Owl responded, "I don't need to experience it. Our clan's creed has made it clear that this world is flawed."

"The endless wars throughout the shinobi world's history are proof enough!"

In the face of Asahi's overwhelming strength, Owl was compelled to consider his words.

If an ordinary person had questioned him like this, Owl would have dismissed them outright, if not killed them on the spot.

Asahi continued, "Let's set aside whether your understanding of your creed is accurate. Even if it is, can you be certain your ancestors were right?"

"Did they truly understand the shinobi world in its entirety? Yes, the shinobi world has been plagued by wars for centuries."

"But have you seen the beauty hidden beneath that conflict? In my view, rather than destroy a world filled with strife, wouldn't it be better to strive for a peaceful era and eliminate that conflict?"

After hearing Asahi's words, Ōtsutsuki Owl fell into deep contemplation. The theory that strength is the ultimate truth was validated once again.

Despite his Ōtsutsuki pride, Owl couldn't ignore Asahi's formidable power and thus took his words to heart.

The prolonged silence thickened the tension in the air. Toneri, still young and unable to grasp the situation, nervously clutched at Owl's cloak.

Even though the Ōtsutsuki family had a strict upbringing, Toneri was still just a child seven or eight years old.

In such a serious atmosphere, it was only natural for some childlike behavior to emerge. Feeling the tight grip on his cloak, Owl's heart softened a bit.

He let out a long sigh and slowly said to Asahi, "Perhaps what you say is true, but it no longer concerns me."

"I have neither the opportunity nor the desire to explore these things."

"However, if possible, I hope you can take care of Toneri and let him see the shinobi world you speak of."

Asahi understood that Owl had resolved to die. He didn't intend to stop Owl because even if he could, what then?

Considering Owl's past actions, his potential future actions, and his beliefs, death seemed to be the best option.

At least this way, it would leave Toneri with a glimmer of hope. Asahi looked at Owl deeply and said, "You can rest assured about that. I wouldn't harm a child."

Hearing Asahi's words, Owl exhaled in relief. He then looked at the young Toneri, placing a hand on his head.

Toneri, feeling this affectionate gesture, couldn't help but look up. This was the first time he had felt such a touch from his father since he could remember.

Seeing Toneri's empty gaze, Owl suddenly felt that his decision might be the best one, not just a last resort.

After a moment of silence, Owl spoke gently to Toneri, "Toneri, from now on, follow him and see the world for yourself.

Remember, don't hold any grudges. This is my choice. I leave you this eye as a keepsake." These final words were as much for Toneri as they were for Asahi.

Owl hoped that after his death, Asahi would allow Toneri to keep the Byakugan, enabling him to truly see the world.

However, Owl knew that this wasn't his decision to make, so after speaking, he used his chakra to sever his own heart.

Ultimately, Owl kept his true thoughts to himself and didn't enact his final plans. Perhaps living as Asahi described would be the best choice for Toneri.

The Ōtsutsuki clan would perish with him.

As this thought slowly passed through Ōtsutsuki Owl's mind, a trickle of blood flowed from the corner of his mouth, and he instantly lost all signs of life.

With a heavy thud, Owl's body fell to the ground.

One of the last two surviving members of the Ōtsutsuki clan on the moon, and one of the most powerful beings in the entire Naruto world, died quietly, without even leaving his name behind.

Though it seemed like a long time had passed, only a few seconds had elapsed since Owl finished speaking.

Toneri, having just heard his father's final words, saw him collapse to the ground. Immediately, Toneri's mind was filled with panic.

"Father! Father, what's wrong? Father!" he shouted anxiously.

Toneri's distress was evident as he continued to call out. Asahi silently observed the scene. After a while, Toneri, exhausted from the emotional strain, fell asleep.

After all, he was just a child, and his body's natural defense mechanism had taken over.

Gently picking up Toneri, Asahi laid him down to rest. He then turned to Owl's lifeless body and waved his hand. A pure white Byakugan floated to Asahi's hand.

After sealing the Byakugan, Asahi burned Owl's body to ashes. Although he understood Owl's final wish, Asahi had no intention of transplanting the Byakugan to Toneri.

Toneri was still a child, and this eye was not suitable for him.

Having already evolved once, the Byakugan, even in its current state, would inevitably evolve again if transplanted.

This would leave Toneri with only two choices: permanently sacrificing his left eye or facing death. Neither option was acceptable. Asahi had better plans for Toneri.

Whether by using Yang release to grow new eyes or transplanting ordinary ones, these options were far more suitable than using the Byakugan.

There was no doubt about Asahi's ability to grow new Byakugan eyes.

Although the Naruto world was not the most advanced among many worlds, its unique jutsus were noteworthy.

Otherwise, the Grandmaster wouldn't have chosen the Naruto world as the foundation for Asahi's training.

In the original story, Naruto once helped Kakashi regenerate an eye. Now, Asahi was far stronger and more skilled than Naruto was at that time.

Having taken care of everything, Asahi finally turned his attention to the enormous Tenseigan.

The sheer ocular power contained within it was astonishing, even to Asahi.

If Owl had been at Six Paths level and harnessed the power of the Tenseigan, defeating him would have been much more difficult.

The Tenseigan, a treasure created by the sacrifices of countless clan members, was truly formidable. Asahi couldn't help but feel a sense of awe.

The so-called "Giant Tenseigan" is less of an eye and more of a treasure—a bloodline artifact created from the byakugan of a clan's lineage.

According to Asahi's knowledge of artifact crafting, the Giant Tenseigan is only a partially completed artifact.

However, it is already showing signs of transforming into a full-fledged treasure, one that can continually improve.

In essence, the Giant Tenseigan can be viewed as a living entity capable of self-enhancement through cultivation.

Asahi was confident he could initially refine the Giant Tenseigan into a true artifact.

Although crafting a treasure from countless people's eyes might seem cruel, considering them as spoils of battle alleviated any moral concerns for him.

As long as he didn't personally collect the materials, there was no issue.

Therefore, Asahi didn't hesitate and immediately sealed the Giant Tenseigan, planning to refine it further upon returning.

After securing the Giant Tenseigan, Asahi glanced at the now-ruined palace.
