"Dear baby girl, our little Laura... we're so sorry"
"We know saying sorry to you isn't an acceptable apology, but our current situation isn't safe for you to be with us right now.
Giving you away was the hardest and last choice we could make, being able to protect you from our enemies was the whole point of giving you away.
We already risked your life once and almost lost you to our family members, so we can no longer take your safety for granted our darling girl.
For now the time being you're going to have to stay in America, while we try to eliminate the current threats in Moscow so we can retrieve you as soon as possible.
Please remember Laura we love you very dearly and this was our last choice we could make without risking your safety.
If we're not able to bring you back in the future, by the time you're reading this we hope you've grown up into the smart and beautiful young women you were meant to be."
Sincerely, your loving parents Natalia and Sergey
With faint tears rolling down her cheeks slowly falling down on top of the tattered yellow letter that was written to her from her parents.
"Is-is this real... is this really true? looking back at Ms.Johnson barely able to speak her mind due to the endless thoughts trying to process what she just read from the letter.
"Yes darling that letter is from your parents... I've never opened it personally but I can promise what you've just read is the original letter." trying to stay as calm as possible as she watched Laura cry for the first time in front of her.
Standing up from her chair, Ms.Johnson walked over and embraced Laura as she slowly started to sob in her arms.
"Shhhh darling its alright... just let it all out." slowly brushing her long soft hair as the sobs grow stronger with each passing minute. Ms. Johnson held Laura in her arms as best she could with her frail body.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
*sniff* "...no" *sniff* slowly looking up to Ms.Johnson with her teared stained face and runny nose. The once Ice Queen looked like an adorable little girl with her red flushed face from the long session of crying.
Not knowing what to do, Ms.Johnson continued to hold Laura in her arms and brush her hair in oder to sooth Laura.
"Ms.Johnson..." looking back up to Ms.Johnson with her bright blue eyes
"You want to find them, don't you?" she said with a sigh, this was the first time Ms.Johnson had seen Laura in such a state.
*sniff* "I just want to know why... if they're even still alive" with another faint sob grasping on to Ms.Johnsons worn down gray jacket.
"I thought you would say that, then off you go!" with her bright big smile she's always shown for years towards the children.
"Go get packed while I buy your plane ticket! Where did they say you're from darling?" yelling towards Laura as she heads to her office to buy the ticket.
"HUH!? What do you mean get packed, and that you're buying a plane ticket?" her bright blue eyes finally bright and lively as she's shocked out of her slump.
"Don't make me repeat myself Laura Levitsky!" in a teasing sly voice Ms.Johnson grins at Laura knowing she can't ignore her questions.
With a long sigh "They said they're in Moscow" not truly accepting the situation yet Laura still sits at the dinning room table staring at the yellowed letter with a questionable gaze.
"Wow! I didn't know my little Laura was from Russia, no wonder you've always been such a beauty" in a loud laugh filling the rooms of the lower floor from Ms.Johnson, Laura couldn't help but faintly smile back at Ms.Johnson startling her.
Returning her smile back towards Laura, Ms.Johnson couldn't help but reminisce in her times with Laura as she sees the young beauty contemplating wether or not to leave her long time home.
"Come on Laura, go and pack your things. You're going to Moscow!"
