A few minutes later, Edmund came to fetch her. His gaze was still soft but his eyes weren't. There was no warm sentiment; it made her heart shatter. Was their kiss nothing to him? He was there standing in the doorway, waiting for something to happen, but even her words were silent as of this very instant. After this, she would never take a glimpse of his chiseled face again….ever.
Edmund hesitantly approached the queen. "Are you ready, your Highness?"
She nodded silently.
"I already called out your brother. Someone will be here for us."
Just as what he expected, she nodded again.
A couple of minutes passed, someone came from nowhere.
A teleporter.
A man not more than in twenties, wearing his tight black V-neck sweater that only emphasized how perfectly formed he was, stood in front of them. His eyes were so black that Minerva couldn't even tell where the iris stopped and the pupil began. They were so deep and familiar. Same eyes of her dear big brother before it changed the color to silver.
The newcomer was not a human, he could teleport. Not only that, his eye color highlighted his distinctive aura. He was just a boy and yet, Minerva could feel something odd about this stranger.
"Hi there, Uncle Edmund!" He greeted him with a cheerful face. Same eye color, and the strands of his hair, and now, the way he smiled. They were all the same like Ayden. If she didn't know his brother, she would thought that this young man was Ayden's little brother, too. Curiosity filled her mind. Who was this guy?
The newcomer faced her with a friendly grin. "I am his nephew."
Ayden was half-Atlantean demigod. Son of Hades. Even if he was a sole child of the Gods of the Underworld in Atlantis, the queen gave birth to a twin. They were Kinos and Ayden. They had shared the same womb but they had different biological father. Kinos' father was the former Atlantean king while Ayden's father was really Hades. They were identical except with their eyes. Unlike them who had the same blue eyes like every Atlantean had, Ayden had silver eyes.
And this young man was Ayden's nephew since Nyx was Hades' son as well. Nyx and Ayden were half-brothers.
Shocked, she narrowed her eyes as if she was trying to know something. How did he know?
Could he really read my mind?
"Yes, Miss. I can read your mind," he answered again even if she didn't say anything at all.
Minerva raised her eyebrow. But before she could say a word, a thought came out of her mind. "You're Nyx' son?"
"How did you know?"
Okay. This was far too complicated. Finding Ayden, she never thought of meeting Nyx' son, it brought another headache to her.
"She is your Uncle's little sister, Minerva," Edmund introduced them both. He looked at Minerva's puzzled face. "His name is Ivan. And yes, he is Nyx and Cassandra's first born child."
Another thought crossed her mind. If Edmund knew about Ayden and Cassandra, then he knew everything about Atlantis.
"You know Ayden's real identity?"
"Y-Yes."
Another shocking revelation, why did he tried to help her when in fact he had every living proof that Atlantis did exist? It was none other than her brother, Ayden. Again, he lied to her. But why?
But before she could make any argument, Ivan stepped forward and looked at her from her head to toe.
"How is it possible? An Atlantean outside Atlantis with feet?"
"Long story kid. We need to go now," Edmund interrupted.
"But I thought the curse was still there. No Atlantean could ever walk in the surface of the Earth with feet. Or else, they would turn into a half-fish Atlantean or so called mermaid."
"Ivan---"
"Okay. Okay. No need to remind me. I swear if this will happen again, I will ask my Uncle to give me something as transportation fee. Gees! I never thought about this power as annoying as eating chocolate with no sugar! I should be dating right now and I was interfered because of what? To become a transporter?"
"Ivan--!"
"Okay! I got it! Oh gees! I can't believe that this is really happening with my awesome life."
Ivan was young and carefree. Minerva could see that, too. She smiled with amusement, grasping his identical characteristics to her brother's. Without knowing he placed his finger on her shoulder and before she knew it, they were all transported to another place.
Ayden's home.
