Chapter 3 - Saint of Time

Amiaya Town, Kingdom of Caspia

"Ice Magic: Thorny Icicles" cried one of the bandits as Levi tried to dodge the attack.

"Flame Magic: Flames of Hell" shouted another one as he saw Levi trying to find an opening to dodge the attack.

"System! How are we going to win like this?" Levi thought while he gazed at the huge explosion created by the collision of the two magical spells.

explained the system.

"Oh, can't you tell me the important details in the first hand. This is death like situation. One miss and, my head would garnish their platters of victims." quoted Levi, irritation in his voice seemed obvious.

Levi opened the silver spellbook which immediately started spreading its radiance throughout the place. He felt like his emotions like anger, hatred, and fear-fueled up the spellbook strengthening it spells. Levi looked into the eyes of the bandits which showed nothing but, inflicting fear and spreading terror in the hearts of people.

"Now, Astral Magic: Astral Force" cried Levi as he swung his arm in the direction of bandits.

Surprisingly, In the place of small purple energy balls, space was cut through spreading a dark aura in place of the usual sky. From it, a volley of energy balls strikes through the place, dealing damage to the bandits. One of the bandits tried to use his protect magic but, it was useless since the power in this spell was more than the last time Levi used it.

"What just happened, didn't that kid used the same spell a few minutes ago?" blurted a bandit, fear in his voice.

"Indeed, I used the same spell as before. But, this time it is twice as powerful from before. Since I fed my spellbook with my emotions, and in turn, it increased its power and area of damage." explained Levi.

"Isn't it the logical assumption, system?" thought Levi.

agreed the System.

"This is not possible. Our spellbooks cannot do that. It isn't logical."

"It is logical. You bandits don't have any emotions for righteousness. You all are just savages who, kill people, rob them, and destroy their lives." Levi exclaimed in anger.

"This isn't true. If you think so, then, you don't know how this place works. The place is corrupted with nobles that do hold everything and have the power to improve the lives of people. But, all they care about is stashing their pockets with Gold and silver.

"System, tell me about the hierarchy of this kingdom," ordered Levi.

"So, this Kingdom follows the hierarchical structure similar to that of France. This means the taxpayers are from Third Estate only. This is total trash. France later abolished this structure which exploited common people to their graves. The Kingdom shall fall in the future, and I sure of it." Levi commented in a determined tone.

"You think so, and what is France?" asked one of the Bandits.

"I do, and don't mind it. France is a country of my dreams." lied Levi as a smile appeared on his face."

"Not until, I am here protecting my kingdom. I won't let Caspia fall into the hands of the incompetent fools like you all." interrupted a feminine voice from above.

"Who are you, or the more appropriate term would be, Where are you?" yelled someone from the gang of bandits.

"Savages like you won't be able to see me. Only a pure heart can see me." mocked the same voice.

"Savages, my foot! Your king is a savage, and a fool who doesn't know how to rule a kingdom." shouted the bandit leader in anger.

"How powerful is that lady, we cannot see her at all. I think she is standing beside me." thought Levi as he turned his head to scan the area.

"How foolish of me, I totally forgot about that skill." Levi scolded himself.

"I can see, you are standing beside me. So, hiding from me won't help you," told Levi.

"Who said I was hiding, I was just watching your fight with those bandits." said the same voice as she became visible.

Levi stared at the girl who was standing beside him. She had black long hair tied into a bun, held by a long clip. Her almond-shaped eyes gazed at Levi. She slowly came near him.

"I am the Saint of Time. My name is Titania Lius." She whispered in Levi's ears.

"You are still weak, I can see through your aura." continued Titania.

"You really think so?" asked Levi keeping a low tone.

"Of course I do think that you are still very weak after coming to this world," replied Titania straightforward.

"Then take this, Astral Magic: Astral Force." challenged Levi.

"Weak, very weak for me. Chrono Magic: Heavens Time." called out Titania.

Suddenly, Levi felt that Titania had gotten faster as she easily dodged those attacks. But, he felt something was odd about that spell.

"Wait! I got it now. She hadn't gotten faster but, she just slowed the time around her which forced me to think that she had gotten faster." thought Levi as realization struck him.

"What you did to us, we cannot move?" questioned the bandits in a pleading tone.

"Nothing, I am the saint of time so, I can just bend the time according to my will. You cannot move since I froze the time around you. While I slowed him." informed Titania while pointing at Levi.

"What you want from me?" asked Levi.

"Oh, nothing serious. I just want that spellbook and, your life." mocked Titania.

"Well, you can always come and get it. And, I am also guessing that you want to burn it if I am correct," told Levi as he gritted his teeth.

"Yes, you are absolutely right. I never thought you can think this through."

"Yeah, I can. You just saw it."

"Now, its time to end this. I have somewhere to go," told Titania.

"Okay, as you wish. I am ready."

"You will regret this, Levi Ackerman," muttered Titania.

"Here comes Choro Spell, Chrono fusion."
