There was actually no phone call for Li Yi. It was just one of Bi Bi's plans for helping Li Yi to get out of the situation. "Thank you for bailing me out before." Li Yi smiles at her. "No problem, I didn't even know you were in this situation until Lo Lo told me. He came to me before, and told me to help you out." Li Yi looked over where Lo Lo is and saw an empty table.
"Where is he?" as Li Yi asks.
"He said he has to go fix something first and will come back later." After Bi Bi finished telling her, she was called by Kai Ge.
Li Yi walks over to the vending machine to buy a drink since she hasn't eaten any breakfast yet. She puts the money in and presses for a cup of hot coffee. As she waits for the hot coffee to come down, Lo Lo just came back from outside.
"Lo Lo." Li Yi calls out to him. Lo Lo stops, and walks up to her.
"Where did you go before?" as Li Yi asks him.
Lo Lo raises his arm up, "to buy breakfast." Li Yi then thought about what Bi Bi told her. 'That's what he has to fix. I thought it was something serious,' as she thought about it.
The hot coffee just finished and it dropped down from the inside of the machine. Li Yi bends down and picks it up.
"Here," as Li Yi holds out the cup of coffee to him. "What is this for?" as Lo Lo smiles and takes the coffee from her. "Thank you," as Li Yi sincerely thanked him. Lo Lo didn't say anything, and just asked her if she wanted to eat breakfast with him. Li Yi wants to refuse since she is not used to eating breakfast in the morning.
"I brought extras, and if it's gonna be a waste if I don't finish it." After Lo Lo said that, she thought about it for a second and then agreed to eat it with him.
"Ooo what are you guys eating," as Kai Ge walks past them holding a cup ramen in his hand. "You want?" as Li Yi asks him. Kai Ge gave her 'you understand me' look, and pulled a chair right next to her.
As all three of them are eating, Yu Xuan walks in the office with a cup of coffee in his hand.
"Boss, want to join us?" as Kai Ge asks him. Li Yi didn't say anything, and just continued eating her food.
Yu Xuan looks at Li Yi, "no it's fine. I don't have the habit of eating breakfast in the morning." He walks back to his working table with his coffee in his hand.
Li Yi watches him as he walks away from them. "I'm full," as Li Yi said and walked away. Kai Ge looked down, and saw that she didn't even eat much. "What's wrong with them?" as Kai Ge takes Li Yi's sandwich. Lo Lo shrugs and looks at both of them.
As the team continued working till the afternoon, another call came in. "They found another dead body at an empty warehouse. Similar to last time. The victim's organs are all taken out."
"Another one?" as Kai Ge exclaimed.
They got to the scene, and there was a huge smell already before they even got inside. The forensics and pathologists were already there.
"This person had died earlier than the other three," as Li Yi said. The pathologist turned over to her. "How did you know that?"
Li Yi didn't know how to explain.
"Dr. An, there's one thing you must not know. Our Li Yi could guess the time of death of a victim just by looking. I was shocked when I found out about it too." Kai Ge jumps in to help her explain to Dr. An. Today so many people have helped her that she doesn't even know to thank them.
Yu Xuan scans the surroundings. There's no window in the warehouse. And all the things inside the warehouse are old components. "According to the people that live around here, this warehouse was abandoned for ten years already. They said the front door is always locked, and no one has the key to here," as Lo Lo reports to Yu Xuan. Yu Xuan nods, and eyes shift to the edge of the room.
A shiny material caught his eyes. He took a tweezer and picked it up. "What is it?" as Lo Lo asks.
"The murderer left this here."
Back to the office, everyone starts working very hard. They had numerous meetings talking about the cases and evidence they found. Even the head chief came, and told them to solve the case in no more than 3 days. This pressure the team even more, but they know they must find the murder before he hurts more people.
"What is his motive?," as Li Yi looks back at the evidence, and looks at the deceased materials. Li Yi picks up her cup, but she doesn't know that there's no more water inside. As she is about to drink the empty cup, Lo Lo stops her and switches her cup with another cup filled with water.
"Oh.." She looked down, and realized there's no more water. "Thank you," Li Yi smiles and drinks the water.
Yu Xuan, who sits at the other side of the room, looks at them. Li Yi didn't notice his stare and went back to work.
An officer came in holding a box. "Who is Li Yi?"
"It's me," as Li Yi stood up and walked over to the officer. "This is your package." The officer hands her the package, and walks out. The package doesn't have the sender's name or anything else.
"Who is that from?" as Bi Bi curiously asked? Li Yi shrugs, "I don't know." Bi Bi snatches away from her and smiles. "Is it from a secret admirer?" She gave her a smirk, and opened it for her.
"AHHHHHH!!!!" Bi Bi screamed and threw the box.
"What happened?" as LI Yi asks. Everyone ran up to her, and all their eyes were wide opened.
Inside the box are a letter with red blood, and organs.
"Who sent this?" Yu Xuan asks and looks at Li Yi.
"I don't know. The officer just handed it over to me before and left."
Li Yi is as scared as Bi Bi is. She doesn't know who sent this to her or what the motive is. Her face turns pale, and her hand starts to shake.
"Li Yi, are you okay?" as Kai Ge asks. "Ye--yea, I'm fine," as her voice shakes. Yu Xuan looks over at her, and orders Kai Ge to bring it over to the forensics.
"Where's the officer that bought this over before?" as Yu Xuan asks.
Lo Lo came running back, "I can't find him anywhere. I checked the surveillance camera, and couldn't find him anywhere. And one thing weird is, I found a police uniform in the front desk." Lo Lo holds it up, and places it on the table.
Suddenly, Li Yi remembers something. "Talking about it, I found it strange too. I don't think I've seen that officer here before. And before he has his head down the whole time with a cap on. I couldn't really see his face."
"Could this be the perpetrator?" as Bi Bi speaks up. Yu Xuan looks at her, "why do you say that?" Bi Bi sort through everything in her head. "These two cases has one similar thing which is the victim's organs are taken out by the murder. The first case we found the organs, but today's case we still haven't found it yet. And just now that package inside has organs. Couldn't the murderer send this to us. Wait I mean, Li Yi. But I don't know why Li Yi." Bi Bi looks at LI Yi, who seems to be thinking as well.
"Do you have any idea who it could be?" as Lo Lo looks over at her.
Li Yi shakes her head.
Yu Xuan looks over at Li Yi, who seems to be still kinda scared. "Go home first. We'll continue this tomorrow."
Li Yi looks up at Yu Xuan. 'It's only 6pm, and he never let them go early when there's a big case like this. Is he doing this for me?' as she wonders to herself. Li Yi quickly shakes it off her head, and goes to her workspot to pack.
Lo Lo walks over to her, "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. This little thing won't bother me much, don't worry." Li Yi grabs her jacket, and starts walking out the door.
As Li Yi was about to take out her car keys, her tires were flatten again. She stood there, and looked at both sides. She didn't see anything suspicious, but somehow had that feeling of someone looking at her.
Li Yi takes out her phone, and as she is about to call the taxi, someone grabs her wrist. Li Yi looked up, and it was Yu Xuan who took her wrist. "What are you doing?" as Li Yi asked him.
"Home."
Li Yi didn't resist, and just quietly got into Yu Xuan's car.
During the drive, they didn't talk. It was quiet, until Yu Xuan pulled up in front of Li Yi's parents house.
"Why are we here?" as Li Yi asks.
Yu Xuan didn't say anything and just got out of the car. "Zhang Yu Xuan why aren't you saying anything? Why did you bring me here? Didn't you say you'll bring me home?" as Li Yi frustrated asks. Yu Xuan ignored her and went to ring the doorbell.
The door opened, and Liu Ma stood there smiling. "Ah Yi, your back."
They walked in, and saw Li Xiang sitting there with their parents. She gave him an eye signal, asking why he is here. But he also ignored her.
"Yu Xuan, you're here," her mom smiles, and welcomes him to sit next to her.
"Li Yi, come over here," as her dad calls her. Li Yi walks over to her dad, and sits down. She looks over at Li Xiang, but he isn't giving her any hint as to what's happening right now.
"Did something happen?" as Li Yi couldn't hold in anymore and asks.
"Quit your job." Her dad looks at her with seriousness in his eyes.
