(Julius's POV):
It was a few minutes after Denzel and his team made some sort of pinnacle combination. Three players in the top 100 went out to my side to try and eliminate me.
"These guys are troublesome!"
Dashing in a zigzag manner to close in the position, my attack was immediately parried by a dagger..
The person who parried my attacks immediately threw two enderpearls, one behind me and another right in the sky. He teleported to where the first enderpearl landed and jumped up to make it look like he was about to jump off a branch. And with such calculating bullshit it did land in a branch so he jumped towards me at a speed that's increasing due to gravity and force.
But I do have my own trickery to play with.
I took a large amount of spare time after the Sorcery incident to practice using a similar way of portals. The downside of portals is that it makes it too obvious, whilst mine is just purely disappearing into the darkness before reappearing in a nearby place.
I turned towards the enemy where I noticed that the two other enemies that are on my left started shooting me with muskets. But before the musket balls landed, I blinked to a few meters behind me. However, I was still invisible so I dashed forward to counter their assassin first.
The moment I materialized, the two gunslingers immediately switched to flintlock pistols and tried to burst me down. All bullets missed due to their insufficient reaction speed.
They started to reload their flintlock pistols while the assassin immediately tried to block my attack once again.
Just like Robin, I also have a runic blade as my weapon. However, unlike Robin's effect which nullifies magic, mine simply phases through weapons, shields, and armor if the enemy is panicking.
The thing is that, it does not function on mana absorbers like Denzel's Vajra, or Robin's nullifying sword.
I effectively sliced off the head of their assassin. The two rangers had reloaded their weapons so they started shooting me again. After exhausting their bullets to reload again, one threw an enderpearl to a tree branch and the other puffed out some smokescreen.
Bullets burst down to my location so I dashed to the right to avoid it. After the smoke went away, I can see eight orbs surrounding me at an elevated position. Each one had a different color so maybe the opponent is some all-rounder.
There comes a man with a pair of gauntlets. Is this assassin some sort of a fighter type? Pretty sure these portals might not only attack me but can also support this guy.
The moment I looked into the sky, it became a blue and gray colored distortion. I am currently forced to fight this person to the death.
"Gotta have to do this for real then."
I removed a pin on a small bag on each sides.. Both of which will explode on impact so I took them and threw them in two directions. One towards him and the other downwards.
Both of these small pouches blasted into thick smoke, one of which being poisonous. I carefully slid to the right and cloaked down. I waited for the smoke to dissipate so I can land a clear hit and to avoid being poisoned.
It may be unnecessary to do, but this is for insurance.
As the smoke starts to raised higher, a pair of feet can now be seen in a panicking state.
Holding my breath, I ran through the smoke and tried to end it immediately.
However, he noticed me and grabbed my arm with the gauntlet which stopped my attack completely. It's like he baited me into this.
Being unable to remove my right arm, I spat directly to his face. Though he didn't lose his grip, he lowered me down after receiving an disrespectful attack. Because of that, I landed my feet properly before exerting another set of force to knock this guy upwards.
After doing that though, the red portal shot a fire bullet at me at a high speed. I was in a position where I'm standing with my hand and my two legs kicking up the man with a pair of gauntlets. I simply deflected the bullet to a different direction, but that's not the end of those annoying portals.
The green portal starts sending a ray of light towards the knocked up guy and healed his bruises.
"Damn."
I cursed on instinct, since the white portal fired an electric laser towards me. I ended up pushing myself backwards to reposition myself in a proper manner and to raise my awareness more.
The two of us faced each other once again whilst the barrier is still active.
"You're a good one." - ???
"I'm impressed with your coordination of your mind and body."
"I was trained by him, without his training. I would've been shredded to pieces already." - ???
"Heeeh, who is this 'Him' you're talking about?"
The guy in front of me tosses a dagger in which I deflected to an entirely different direction.
"I'll tell you when you're about to die." - ???
He starts to dash and prepares to strike me with both of his gauntlets. Whilst closing our positions, his gauntlets shined a brown color. At the same time, the brown portal was shining just above the tree.
"Reinforcement huh?"
I muttered some praise of surprise. Though it's not my play on fighting someone based on damage in my situation, I have to act accordingly.
Looking at the person's armor, he wears some very sturdy pieces of crimtane. However, my analysis confirms this armor as ancient cobalt. Which is way more sturdy than it actually looks.
Not only that but there are no gaps in his body to be sliced off. I have to slowly shred off his armor piece by piece just to get a chance. And the perfect one to be cut off is his right arm.
After he sent a right jab, I dodged his attack with a dash to the side and made a strike without even caring.
Because I remembered that my sword can simply phase through armor.
Striking through his solar plexus, he almost got decapitated. I then noticed something very different.
"I didn't feel any flesh, what's this?"
"Pretty sure you would expect that if I'm in such large armor." - ???
So basically, foam huh? If I didn't slice his armor deep enough, then I might have to stab through instead of slicing him off.
On second look, his armor really is fitting for juggernaut size. Which makes sense since he has a very small body earlier. What's weird is that he has a deep voice.
"Blade Dance!"
This ability just simply increases my grip strength and dexterity, but it's basically my best bet for this fight. I switched out to a meteorite custom blade and dashed towards him who formed a blocking stance with his gauntlet. His left arm reached onto his back and revealed a giant shield.
With a shock wave of force, I struck his shield with a swing to the left. Using the increased momentum, I twirled and continued to strike him in the same speed and direction.
The thing about meteorite in this game is that, it melts metal. So there was significant damage to the large shield that it was shredded immediately. However, it had multiple layers.
After landing to the ground, A large sword was brandished and was slammed down onto me. I dashed even closer to the juggernaut as his sword completely missed the mark. But by smashing down the sword, dust flew around to obstruct vision.
Jumping a bit of height, I landed on the chestplate and kicked myself off it.
I threw three meteorite daggers which formed a triangular shape on hitting the juggernaut.
"Detonate!"
The three daggers blew up and shredded the armor off. The white portal starts rejuvenating the armor but it wasn't reforming the foam inside it.
Reusing my runic blade, I stance myself in a position that's ready to fully eliminate the enemy.
"Coagulate!"
The daggers came off the juggernaut and incinerated the armor.
Now's my chance!
"Portal!"
Multiple portals formed around the juggernaut and each connect to random directions.
All of the jug's portals start blasting me but each was redirected to an entirely different direction, rendering them useless.
"Sonic Boost!"
After casting a spell that boosts speed, I dashed towards him at a high speed. Delivering a strike and continuing to run forward. I entered a portal and went to a random direction, continuing to run forward and make another strike. And repeating the same move without stopping, and gradually moving faster and faster.
The man being overwhelmed in all directions at a high speed. Couldn't handle the speed that I was bringing around. Thus, with his attempted blocks and parries. My runic sword simply phased through it and started cutting him.
"Don't even worry about not mentioning his name. I already know that it's not the one who set up the raid."
"You-!" - ???
The armor dispersed and turned into particles. With his armor gone, he was filled to the brim with countless cuts. Which he ended up dying from Bleeding III.
Now, the last guy is somewhere within the area.
With the dueling realm disappearing, one bullet was fired from a distance.
"Whoa there."
I dodged to the left by dashing without even stopping, but there was a follow up in an entirely different direction.
"!!"
Changing my dash to going backwards was my only choice, but there was another bullet from right in front of me this time.
"Multiple enemies?!"
It was staggering that there isn't only one remaining. There were reinforcements that joined in the fray in my area.
But that was not the case when I dashed to the right.
Suddenly a man was pointing his flintlock pistol at my head at pointblank range. Without even looking I flashed right behind him and tried to deliver a strike. But after firing his flintlock pistol, he used the recoil to fire directly behind him.
It's like he's hacking.
With pinpoint accuracy, he was firing at the exact direction I am currently in.
"Crosscut."
I had no other choice but to simply activate an instant-kill move. Crosscut simply makes me teleport directly to the player with having fake clone in varied directions. With multiple clones in the area he wasn't able to choose which one is real and got his head cut off in less than a second.
"Now that they're all cleaned up."
I jumped high enough and landed on a tree branch and started sneaking my way towards the barrier the enemy erected.
"Still no good huh."
I'll wait for an opportunity then.
