(Mint POV)
"so everyone here Mint?"
"no, not yet. Max and Jasmine, were busy so they cannot join us now. but as soon as we decide we have to tell them what we have talked about here."
"Hmm."
"wait where is Han?"
"look over there."
I turned my head toward the said direction.
I saw Han was running towards me. as soon as he arrived he was breathing heavily. probably due to running. he placed his both hands over his knees and bend down while grabbing his breath to calm down for a while. after taking a few breaths he placed his right hand over my left shoulder while facing his face towards me with tilt head about 20° angle to the left.
"hey, Mint what was this call for?"
he picks this line as an objective to ask me for the purpose for today's get together. I can see his curiosity but he needs to sit down first and take a break first.
"First you should sit down and take a deep breath and calm down."
he was looking quite thirsty and almost out of energy. I asked him to sit and gave him some water so he can relax and can regain his strength. I waited until he said.
"Mint I'm all right now."
"so, here what I was going to introduce. we have a break from next week for the whole 2 weeks. I was thinking that, if you don't have any plans next weekend shall we all go for a vacation trip. how's that sound?"
"Hmm."
everyone seemed like agreeing with my words. I can guess with there head nodded in an understanding way. I get my guess confirmed when Freddie said.
"It's a nice idea. so where have you thought we should go?"
"I was thinking of going to trip to a foreign country."
"I don't think that would be a good idea. if we consider everyone pockets not everyone can afford to go for a foreign trip."
Eric was considered about this. and his words were supported by Kim afterwards.
"I agree on that Mint, Eric is right. if you look at all our friends budget I don't think Max and Jasmine Can manage to have the money for managing their tickets. we should come up with other destination."
they were probably thinking beyond. yes, I also agree on that I have to think for all too. I know how those two are. even if I said this whole trip is as my treat, I know Jasmine will not agree on that. either she will repay me or might excuse us and not to go with us. and for max, he doesn't want to be in debt for more. practically speaking, they will disagree for me paying for them.
"so, outside of the country cancel. Does anyone have any other ideas?"
"How about we go to Bangkok. we can go to an amusement park. we will all enjoy it there."
-Han started.
"That might be right. we can, but we have 2 weeks and that is only considered as a 1-day fun. what about the other days."
-Kim stated
"I think this might get work. we can take Han's van to Bangkok and enjoy 2 days there. and then how about going on a camping trip. that would be fun too."
Eric suggests, and I find it very convenient too.
"ya, we can do that. it would be easy and affordable too."
-Martin said.
"Fine, so it is decided. we first have a road trip to Bangkok and then we have a camping trip in nature. the whole trip will be of 1 week."
finally, after extended classes, we will have a trip plan. and now I have stayed them for the 1 week but I don't think Jasmine can convince her manager of her part-time job for that much time. I need to talk to Jasmine first. her opinion about this. I asked everyone to go have a meal with me I almost forget that in this busy morning I haven't had my breakfast yet.
after we finish the meal we move to our classes.
on the way home. I asked Martin to come along with me. I was planning him to drop off to his house. and I also have to discuss something with him too. I took my car off the parking lot pick, Martin, up and drive straight towards his house.
"Martin I was thinking of telling about our relationship to our friends."
"that would be great. I know all of our friends are good people. they can understand and can accept us more than anyone."
"I thought the same, exactly. I need to open up at least to our friends and loved ones."
"I can relate."
"Martin!!!"
"Yes."
"Look I know I'm being selfish here. but, I'm not sure I can do this."
"about what?"
"I am trying to do my best. best for my friends best for my family best for you. but I have some insecurities too. I am a beginner in opening my true self. it will time to complete me to be myself. maybe more than I expect.
can you please consider it? all I want to say is, can we not have an introduction with our families as partners now? I don't think I'm ready for that."
"No, problem Mint I can understand. people like us are the same but still, have a difference from other straight couples we have to face difficulty regarding love life and relationship. Even after coming out, it's not easy for us to introduce our partners to our parents. I can relate. relax and take your time while doing so."
thank you so much, Martin, for understanding this. it might look simple but it is most difficult and risky to open about your sexuality if you are one of the belongings to Lgbt+ community with your family in comparing to friends and strangers. probably we are afraid that our most reliable people might not misunderstand or turns their backs on us. after all they are our family if they turned their backs on us who we can rely on.
I took the car to his house and drop him off. he smiles at me before seeing me off.
