Astrid POV
It was dark... was I awake
But how...
I glanced around me seeming to be some unknown place. I must be dreaming there is no way I escaped my father easily.
Then green appeared stretching miles and miles long. Children were running after each other laughing and goofing around.
Yeah I was definitely dreaming
My gaze set on a house a little brown cottage. Something was pulling me towards it. And before I knew it my body was working on its own accord. It was as if I no longer had control.
I walked up to the house gazing inside the window. A woman was rocking a baby to sleep.
Who the hell is she?
Why was I here...
Just then she noticed me glancing at her. She watched me carefully as if examining me, she glanced down at her baby and then me.
I tried to duck down so I was no longer in her line of vision.
My chest felt as if it was constricting so I closed my eyes leaning against the small house.
When my breathing relaxed I opened my eyes to the woman peering down at me. She was quite tall and dear god
She was stunning
I almost envied her beauty
"Who are you and why are on my property"! The woman demanded and it was then I could see she had a knife near my face.
"Whoa calm down... I don't know where I am lady so if you could"-
"Are you trying to steal my baby"!!
I put my hands up in surrender shaking my head back and forth.
Surprisingly I realized I could actually hear
For the first time...
And it felt...
Well not that exciting to be honest
"Look lady I don't want your baby... I seem to be trapped in a dream"...
The woman put her knife away underneath her long white dress.
"What is your name dear" she asked still staring at me intensely.
"My name is Astrid... I'm a Vampire-
"That's my daughter's name" she interrupts.
I automatically become quiet
"You are my daughter... but older you are my child" she coos instantly
Okay now I was freaked out
Who the hell was this lady!
"Excuse me lady... I have a mother already so if I could just"-
"They took you from me, they took you away and killed you"!!
I scrunched my face in confusion..
What the hell was this lady on..
Seriously
"I don't know what you are talking about soooo I'm just going to wake up now"-
"You cant"!! The woman interrupts
"Why not"?
"Come inside there is something you must know" she finishes and just like that she disappears in thin air.
This woman really was something else..

We sat across from each other sipping on herbal tea. It was delicious actually but right now the women was smiling creepily at me. At this point I didn't know if I should run or cry.
" I am mother Lucia... I'm your real mother" she says patting my hand gently. I so badly wanted to close up and disappear right in that moment.
"I'm sorry uhh Lucia... I already have a mother and she loves me dearly so if I could just"-
"I understand you are scared my child, and right now you are confused but I know who you truly are" she states. When the hell would I wake up!!
"They took you from me... they killed you...but I never thought you would be alive once again" she says her voice cracking.
"Even your sister... she was a mess" Lucia says wiping a hand over her pale face. I was so confused at this point I didnt know what to believe anymore.
"And let me guess... my sister was Azar" I guessed. Lucia looked shocked that I actually knew that.
"You are correct my child.... you are about to awake, I want you to remember. No matter what happens I love you ,even your first mother loves you. You are stronger than you think."
"Remember my daughter powers or not you are Astrid Fionola Bardman."
"The Deaf Vampire"
Then everything turned black as I started to wake up...
I knew I had to fight not just for me but for my family I had grown to love and protect.
