"Bwahahaha! So it's those guys" laughed the King in his courtroom.
Besides him were his same old ministers, all present for a meeting.
"They are just there in the right time, I doubt the Lieutenant there and all the men in the keep would fall from a mere skirmish" said minister Manan, his excessive beard ever the outstanding aspect of his body.
"I agree, for what will be the cause of putting a hefty amount of man power in the keep if they were to fall in a feeble skirmish, the two boys merely made a slight presence, nothing to gawk at" said Shabadi, his luxurious dress and shining skin gave light to his bitterness.
"You may say so my friends but it was the Kid who felled General Grey, although I presumed that the general was careless which led him to his death, however it was not a small feat" said Ram'nga, the bald minister. He was always the middle-man, his notion was always on the side of the Kingdom's benefits.
"Ahu, you're awfully silent, what have you in your mind?" asked Manan.
"Maybe the young minister has a troubled mind, your eyes are much weary than usual" said Shabadi, verbally poking at Ahu.
"I am not worthy for your worry, my senior ministers, I have trouble piecing this altogether" replied Ahu, which woke a sudden jolt of thought and curiousity to all.
"It's a skirmish and some mines, what more is there, maybe it is how minister Shabadi said, the young minister maybe getting delusional, is the prince teaching's more troublesome than you can carry?" Manan fast to verbally shrugged off - the train of thoughts that Ahu might have sowed.
"Now this is a meeting, lively, I also have my wonders in these motives from that vile beast" said the King, he seemed yearning for Ahu's words for an enlightenment in the matter. Dekadora- having said that, Manan gave a look of distaste.
"Then if I may, first it was the old Nux who informed the keep about the raid in Fuu'ue" said Ahu, his eyes were down on the ground, showing - he is still in the process of his -this- thought.
"Nux is the immortal, Guardian of sorts, it is his ways and always was to look after those in need" Manan yet again voiced out against Ahu's theory of a bigger picture.
"It maybe so, however he wasn't there to warn anyone of the sudden cold winter in Berkley which led to poverty and massive deaths, so to say old Nux appeared in times of need is not entirely true. I have deduced that he appeared in times of wide scale major events that may or may not befall us or any immediately or much much later" Ahu with a long statement, his finger fidgeting his chin.
"What's your proof to this?" yet again Manan voiced his words of annoyance to this folly theory or so he thought.
"Elone, he had very well said many times that Nux personally guided him and Elone as we see now is heavily sought after by all Kingdoms and his technologies are a huge milestone for mankind, tell me this is false, Elder Manan?" said Ahu, his eyes hold a sharp pierce, confident in his words.
"This is folly, the matter of Elone and Nux does not relate to this, you're just blind and letting your wonders roam free" said Manan, he grew more annoyed, which the rest of the silent others in the meeting wondered why.
"The Dang'tu awoke for standing guard at Pilatun all because of Nux and his guidance, which now effected all in a major scale, So my speculation is 90 percent correct, if Old Nux appears and make a move, something is bound to happen in a major scale" said Ahu, dropping yet another well-known fact and now finally silencing Manan, which the latter seemed to take it personally - as he grinds his teeth in heavy distaste.
"Hmm. It seems likely, the captured men of Fuu'ue worked the illegal mines, Wadu freed the slaves and discovered the mines which brought about the skirmish for the first in a very long time and next comes Au'khawm but now we're simply left with a wonder, a precaution" said Ram'nga, to which Ahu and the King nodded.
"As what was agreed, we will use the Au'khawm to call out Veradun in front of every Kingdoms, if all goes well, it's an arrest for the overlord and then comes the interrogation... This might be farfetched but I have the feeling that a certain scattered sect might resurface" said Ahu, with a look of worry.
"You insolent fool! Don't let your tongue spew nonsensical venoms. Sect? rubbish their are no more such organizations" Manan finally bursted his annoyance in Ahu's presumptuous speculations.
"Yes it's true that all known sects or any of the sort are all abolished or some rescinded in favour of many Kingdoms but the foremost Sect, the All-eye sect even after it's defeat and deaths, their secrets and many hideouts not to mention some survivals has to this day never been found." said Ahu calmly, unlike Manan who was on edge, leaving the rest to wonder why.
"The All-eye was generations ago, years before you're pitiful tongue even had any grandfathers, I've had it with your nonsense" ranted Manan - he stood up and banged the table, completely losing his cool.
"It was just my guess, since Pilatun holds many secrets and wonders and the All-eye took heavy notice on the valley. The mines from Sloan seemingly goes towards Pilatun and we all know Veradun is always beyond shady but it was never my intention to anger you so, it was just a heavy speculation on my part." said Ahu, still the younger was the calmer.
"Bwahaha, what's a meeting without rants, let there be peace I am intrigued from Ahu's theory. However, it may seemed farfetched but we'll never know unless a solid evidence comes but for now we focus in precautions and the Au'khawm." said the King, "Also on the more joyous side, Peropero is near completion" he added, all the while the King was with a smile. For what more does he yearn, a peaceful Kingdom with loving family and always with the most new inventions all thanks to Elone.
Watchers-keep occupants were now unusually in the masses, not to mention the refugees now Dei-kong and his man are now posted there for an extended period of time. In the hall the weary squadron of Dei-kong were filling their bellies, their captain still in his slumber,
"So those kids fell from the sky?" asked Walter one of Dei-kong's men, who was in a high position.
"So they say, they aren't properly interrogated yet" said Targen, they and the rest were stuffing their faces.
"Lieutenant, I'm curious if it happened yesterday, why' hasn't you talk to them yet? and why is your secretary so friendly with that other one?" Targen asked Azuri, who was still in an excited mood for her lovely secretary - she wasn't even in the same place as Targen and the rest or so it seemed, she in all her focus gazed at Hemi and Lu who were sitting in another table eating and idly chatting the time by - she reminisces her past with Bart - their training days.
"Lieutenant?" with a louder tone, Targen repeated himself - finally bringing her back to reality.
"Oh? I'm sorry! *Ahem* what is it?" she said, composing herself.
"Who are those kids?" said Walter.
"They're from Guards-hold, they maybe the King's new group or something that one keep yelling Fun Inc., while he was on a rampage" said Azuri, chuckling a bit. The sight of Lu at the battle was comedic show with a touch of bloody decor.
"Why's your uncle looking at that singer like looking one like that?" asked Walter, with a mouth full and grabbing a cup of wine.
"Why do you have so many why?, they're allies of the Kingdom, that's that and I'll tell you more after I've talked to them but that too only if I deemed ot necessary" declared Azuri, slightly annoyed at the constant questions.
"Ohkay Boss" said Walter, cocky and silver tongued - in nature.
The other tables, Lu and Szlick sat separate, Szlick was in a state of dehydration and extreme fatigue when he came in the hall with the girls, Lu on the other hand came in with Hemi looking bright in joy- their entrance was a sight many soldiers there only ever dreamt of.
The two boys stared at each other, and grin in each others accomplishment, a raise of the glass from Szlick for a cheer - Lu reciprocated.
"If only I was taller?" said Lu - looking at Hemi, who sat besides, her thigh a top Lu's own.
"Huh? what do you mean.. Boy?" replied Hemi, with her usual tone -a seductively stern voice.
"You seemed kinda bummed out." said Lu.
"Well.. I always thought I'd marry the one I had my first experience with"
"That was your first?..." Lu surprised.
"Wasn't it yours too?"
"Hmm!! It's a secret" Lu smiled at her. Hemi too - then she shakes her head, "I'm 23 you're 18."
"So? 1+1 equals 69... and that's what we just did" Lu teased Hemi.
"Your math needs work....if only you weren't so charming..Boy!!"
"I could be more charming" said Lu, yet another flirt, "So tell me what's on your mind,, you're taller than me.. is that it?" he gets serious but still with his soothing smile.
"I'm just.... forget it, we'll meet again right?" said Hemi, her eyes seemed a bit teary - but unlike Lucy she hides it well.
"Right? anytime you wanna."
On Szlick's side however, he wasn't having a nice -eat-. On the walls of the hall stood a strict, angry, muscular man, like a predator eyeing him up before the kill. Finally the predator neared his prey, Wadu sat in front of Szlick - without a word he sits - his eyes unblinking, staring at the eccentric Szlick.
"This is a long table you know, plenty of seats and you looked like you can't eat while looking at me so... " Szlick without a look at Wadu, tried his best to talk his way out, before he could finish - Wadu cleared his throat and they resumed their awkward silent lunch.
Azuri much to Szlick's relief called upon Szlick, as she was now sitting in the table where Lu and Hemi were on their sweet talks.
"Sit sit boys..I just have a couple of questions" said Azuri.
"Who are you really? What is Fun Inc.? what's that about bounties? and why did you fall from the sky and assist in the battle? " she asked commandingly.
Happy to be relieved of Wadu's intense presence, Szlick answered,
"You already know our names, so that leaves our guild which is as you said Fun Inc., we are like bounty hunters and as for the fall,.. wellll.. ",
"It's the result of the first man made flying machine" Lu continued Szlick's answer.
"Did the King made you a guild?" asked Azuri.
"Yup!" they answered.
"So we'll be collecting our loot and leave this place.... like right now" said Szlick, quickly turning at Wadu.
"What's the hurry?" said Hemi, sulking a bit, 'Cute!!' thought Azuri, to see her subordinate show some passion other than being a workaholic. As the Lieutenant notices in the moment - Hemi was so focus now on appearance that she even discarded her glasses.
"Yeah! what's the hurry?" she complied with Hemi.
"Actually we have a manager, who's a little stuck up and strick" Szlick made up excuses to leave immediately, he glanced at Lu with a fierce look - the latter smiled at it as he noticed Szlick's reason, "You don't look like you have the loot anyways, I'm not complaining though, I have her so... " said Lu - his words just pounded Hemi's heart to further submission, but she kept her composure yet she can't contain all the butterflies she felt as she lets out a slight blush.
"You can come with me.. if you want little beast" he teases Hemi. Which left Hemi in a state of suspense - of beautiful wonders.
*Ahem* Azuri cleared her throat, which urged Hemi to recompose herself, and she did within a second.
"Stay at least another night, I'll lend you horses, then" she said.
"I'm sorry Lieutenant, we'll be off now with the loot, if you're thinking about this lovers,, well..ain't nothing standing in between their distance when it comes to love you know, plus aren't you stopping them from their duties?" said Szlick, as usual he assesses the situation and his wits found him a solid backing -reason- for a quick return.
"Duties huh!? " Azuri noticed and conceded with Szlick's silver tongue.
"However, the loot!? .. reward you need to get it from the King" she added.
"I already got mine" playful and fun Lu teased Hemi, who looked like she still yearned more for his love.
"And you... smooth talker, what's the deal with you and Uncle?" Azuri asked Szlick, curious at the two's cat and mouse games.
Evening yet again called the dancing birds of spring to retreat into their nests, beasts and humans alike now stayed inside in their humble abode.
"I am done now Colonel, I'll be taking my leave" Sako reported to Mustang, with a day's worth of paper works -done.
"Where?" the colonel replied,
"I'm leaving, it's nine to five also I'm done with the works"
"Who said you can leave?" with his usual stern demeanor.
"Every other personnel are leaving, Lucy also told me her work hours when she was your precious secretary"
"Lucy's Lucy and you are you, you are my secretary and I said you can't leave"
"That's unfair colonel, Sir Barrone told me I can go home like everybody else"
"You are my secretary, not him but my secretary and I say you will stay here in the infirmary for a month" Mustang declared his authority, which Sako find it hard to simply comply with, given her expression- her eyes read - her body was ready to do the talking now instead.
"Do you hear me... Assassin" a provocation from Mustang, which he'd hoped Sako would give into - into his unfair treatment.
*Tch* Sako clenched her fists and grinded her teeth,
"Very well colonel, if it's your wish" she said, a reply that the colonel partly predicted yet wasn't hoping for.
Sako went back and sat at her empty table, her face gave a presumptuous smile aimed st the colonel who was belittled a little.
The slowly darkening evening, usually a time set by the heavens for acquaintances to depart or to further unite them for the night which is to come, In watchers-keep the scene followed the latter as the keep's soldiers waved their goodbyes at the two lead members of Fun Inc. Hemi shed no tear, she was blank as a sheet of paper which her Lieutenant very much sulked at, for she thought back to her teary goodbye with Bartholomew just earlier the morning and hoped the same for Hemi - as she deeply hunger for the tease which she could constantly blurt to her workaholic subordinate.
"Hey Hemi!, You don't fool me with that dumb look of yours...." slowly she finds herself close to Hemi, "What do you mean Ma'am?" asked Hemi, slightly nervous from her Lieutenant's childish tenacity.
"Aww!!! Don't worry Au'khawm is coming and the King won't fail to show that young boy's powers." said Azuri, nudging Hemi shoulder to shoulder.
"Oh! I just realized, you did a minor" exclaimed Azuri with a comedic smile, immediately resulting in Hemi assaulting her Lieutenant.
"Were they always like that?" Ajing asked Angus.
"Heck no! they're always like, DO THIS, DO THAT, sometimes I wonder if they're really girls" replied Angus, the two blankly stared at their Lieutenant being constantly assaulted, One looking like an angry beast and one maniacally blurting out laughter, the rest of the soldiers stood watch - and altogether they said, "They're not girls!"
