"Szlick!!" a tearing scream from Lucy, her face was sprayed with anguish and her mind boggled, she feared for her worst and lost in what actions to take - her fear for what Lu might do, a total war in the town.
"Got it!" yelled Szlick - this -the- circumstance unknown but Szlick - a master of quick wits, always calm and with a superlative - extraordinary presence of mind, he read the situation even just through little cracks of hints, the sight of his partner slamming and cracking the wooden door open, a one minded head without turns and a power walk towards where Szlick knows not, what more hinted a worry was Lu's twitching teeth - grinding, jerking his lips into smiles of sinister curves. A smile was -nigh- ever present for the Null-man, however, smile was a trademark for Lu but it's either two kinds of smiles that he had ever showed, that maniacally thrill loving wide curve with his teeth -for savagery- whence in fights and the other was a slight smile, a closed carefree -still as a windless water-, which he puts on almost every second in life - but this one now goes beyond the thrill for a fight, this one he never yet saw.
Lu's eyes were pulsating murderous intent, looking closely it dilated - like beasts before -their- pounce. His thoughts piled on but what unknown, indeed a child with a toy to end the world is dangerous, Lu was that heavily emotional child with unmatched temper probability, 'Probability' as that was what Szlick thought, for anger consumed Lu in ways of random - meaning, a slap to his face could either mean a wholehearted laugh or death.
"Boss? where we going?" Szlick in an instant, appeared next to Lu - he used his magic for speed to catch up to him.
The eccentric one, was met with silence, a thought provoking response - much intense than a verbal one, the beast-child was on the beach of the sea of action and he seemed liked he's slowly riding waves on it. His pressure - choking the close air didn't lie - or even express otherwise, it was a heavy air next to Lu, Szlick felt an intent - not murderous or a slaughter intent but of protecting one's own, 'a fight for property?' he thought, since Szlick made up his mind to first treat Lu as a beast and only then a child.
Lucy and Szlick, knows when murder is committed but not Lu, he wasn't aware of the frowns which came with it, nay! to a beast it was eat or starve, dominate or lose power. Murder was natural and it bore no consent let alone the lingering morale of other people's wonders, for the Null-man it was a way of life, a way to protect one's own.
"I'll tag along then!" Szlick simply said, for he knows his words fell to Lu's intense pressure.
Lucy looked on in horror, her job was on the line but more importantly her care for the man she stored space in her heart for.
End of morning, people hath had their fills and were out about bustling in the town, all about their own businesses, from the far north there came a shirtless kid with a smile for mundane citizens to cower - not exclusive to people too, as beasts in the parks snarled and stood shaking yet frozen in fear.
Then there he stood, his ever lean muscles ready, with a roar of a shout , "SAKOOOOOO!!!" he screamed, the roar shook and cowered the hearts of many, a declaration for a fight - for beats they roar.
"Master?" Sako showed blissful joy, her master came for her. She stood up and disregards Mustang's commanding order for a halt.
"SAAAAKOOOO!!" the freighting sound echoed a second.
As Sako ran and ran, past the soldiers benches and tables and finally out the door.
"There you are, let's go" said Lu, Sako eager to hear Lu's voice, ran to and hugged the feral beast. A moment not entirely superfluous, for not long was her master gone but a moment Sako ceased for affection and was of one she craved.
She grew needlessly teary, an overflow of strong emotion.
Lu stood there, eyes on the prey for who halted his property for her -return home-.
Mustang arrived to the door with troops of blues, each without a good eye for Lu since the first he appeared.
"Leave Boy! but she stays here." Mustang with his deep commanding voice, he stood prepared for a showdown.
"You think you can keep what's mine?" Lu bent his neck a bit, for clear view of his hated prey.
"My, my we're back at it again.. huh?" Szlick tried to dim down the fire, all he could do was let his silver tongue paint a peaceful understanding.
"Outlaws are outlaws, assassins - assassins, leave and come get her in a month!" another fight inducing command from Mustang, much to Szlick's pain.
Lu gently stood Sako aside, "Say that again!" with a growl of a talk.
"Hey - hey now, why make a big deal outta this eh? let's all calm down guys" Szlick with another attempt to ease the heavy air, between his words, he glanced around for Sir Barrone but he wasn't a show for the scene.
"LEAVE!" Mustang yelled and raised his arm - his finger pointes towards Lu and Sako, the latter slightly bent down from the intense pressure that followed.
Lucy's fear now started it's motion. Lu in a flash - he disappeared, the onlookers, the ordinary people around - in their view they saw the shirtless kid disappeared, Mustang too and the clear next thing their curious eyes beheld was a broken door of the mid-infirmary, the soldiers then cramped inside the wide door hurriedly to assist, some surrounding Szlick, and soon the frequent loud banging followed by the cracking walls from inside, which led rubbles to fall and on the people escaped for a -watch- in a distance.
"Easy fellas! I'm not here to kick some ass." his hands out high, showing his passive notion, Szlick eyes focused inside the building, as cracking rubbles fell from each shock , each getting bigger from the last, a miracle - the building holds in terms of standing sturdy.
Inside was chaos, tables chairs and all are splintered to trash - Lu wrecked the building with no regards for any life, his target was a defensive Mustang with rather impressive technique and magic use to dampened Lu's hits, even dodging his lightning fast strikes. Lu's smile curved wider and bigger, he craved the thrilling fights he hath had in the jungle when he was younger, this was but a mere tussle for Lu - in his mind he saw this fight as a simple means to protect, in truth however, he was out for murder.
"Sako! we need to stop Lu" said Szlick, who escaped the circle of blues without their slight notice, but with a second glance they realize the slick scrawny boy was gone,
"Hey you, how'd you get there." the soldiers kept up their precautions and surrounded the two.
Inside, the building was in a crippling state, Mustang levitated himself for a more even fight or so he thought, Lu in the base floor surrounded by soldiers, his eyes however was on the Alpha - Mustang and he himself alone, the other soldiers were cubs of lesser annoyance for Lu.
"Assist the Colonel." ordered Khadami, his eyes darkened with disbelief and fear to see their Colonel pushed to a corner.
"Stay back! You think this kid holds power over me?" yelled Mustang with spits to assist his annoyance.
With a smile and without a moment's lost, Lu pounced at the flying old man and landed a knee in Mustang's abdomen sending him crashing through the roof. An instant in every move from Lu but the old veteran still defended the attack, a force ripper, masterfully cast barriers before every impact from Lu. The two were in the air for a moment, close to perceived each other. Mustang was calm and collected, his stern eyes clocks around to look for a chink in Lu's improbably hard armour,
Lu however, his mind holds no thoughts nor was he calm, or clear minded, it was kill, kill, kill and his air, his glance and his smile didn't bring him justice to say otherwise - Mustang then already knew Lu was out for blood.
Lu landed a top the roof and gazed at the, menacing flying old man - who still wasn't out cold and his fighting spirit was still unwavering.
'He has some sort of anti magic' Mustang thought - a thought which led him to twitch a little in frustration, but he then figures that through a strange phenomenon Lu's nullifying anti - magic didn't work on his offense - a chance he used to hopefully hold their fight to a standstill.
'If my attacks don't work I can defend myself, strangely he can't punch through my force barriers but I can't go through his weird defense' he thought.
Lu- his diluted eyes readied the body for another full on charge.
Mustang flew ready, he now has a slim chance of defending himself, a new found confidence.
In the ground, Sir Barrone finally showed himself, "Stand down soldiers!" he ordered the blues who surrounded Szlick and Sako.
"Old man, can you stop the fight?" Szlick asked, with a sigh of relief, for he too feared for reputations and the last hope he had was Barrone's authority.
"Maybe, maybe not?" an answer from Barrone.
"Wh-what?" Szlick exclaimed.
"I can't stop them, the old fool won't listen to me anymore, they have outgrown their respect for this little ol me."
"But... miss assassin can stop your beast." a hint from Barrone. Which Sako eyes glared at.
Lucy on the other hand rode Neighly all the way to the park, the sights she saw, was people in fear but in awe more - from a safe distance they watched the fight in the sky.
Lu launched - charge after charge, landing and busting up the roof of many houses, and the hearts of many families. Mustang on the other hand blocked and dodged these instant fast attacks, 'That fool, I have such hopes for him' he thought.
The fight was a long one, have it not for the destruction Lu caused, people would have been audiences in joy of the spectacle.
"That Colonel is strong." said Sako who were in pursuit of the fight - the battleground was getting wider by the minute.
"It's a standstill Lu's not in danger but look at all those houses, that idiot." remarked Szlick with a sweat.
"How will I stop him?"
"I don't know, a hug?" answered Szlick, "Actually... I don't mind if you stop him or no, it'll just mean that we can't enjoy that beautiful house no more."
"Then why are you running after them?"
"Shhhh!!!! That Beast of a master you have, his powers are kinda complex.... look he's charging!.. There..you see? even after a hit, he can't get through that one eyed barriers."
"His force magic is strong, he's a Veteran Knight you know!" said Sako.
"Lu is anti magic or physical or anti everything,,, but why can't he shatter those barrier things?"
"You're very clever Szlick, why'd you talk like master sometimes?"
"I'm gonna pretend I didn't hear that passive insult,.. I need to figure it out, is it only on defense... the way his power works?"
"If so, why worry? not like Master's in the lower hand." Sako shred no care for any situation which arises after Lu's battle, her mind was at ease - for her master she trust in all.
"It's a standstill, that's for sure, and Lu will win if this goes on but the damage in the town..." before Szlick could finish, a sudden shout brought their attention.
"SZLICK, SAKOOO!!" Lucy yelled from afar, she was on a bumpy ride on Neighly.
"Stop them guys!! stop L....."
before Lucy could finish, A loud crack was heard close to the three, the grounds shattered and stray rubbles blew amok and as they looked up the sky was void of the stern Colonel.
Their glances fell to the shattered ground, Mustang laid fallen in the centre - to many onlooker's horror. The Colonel, the defender, the Vanguard was felled and who stood besides the fallen Colonel was a kid, shirtless, reeking of bloodlust, with a smile - exclusive for the insane.
"How?" Khadami distraught, him and the soldiers - they felt powerless, his eyes seemed frozen and diluted in fear for what might happen.
"The kid used the art of Nux, it's a silly name but an awfully strong art." said Barrone, "Everyone protect the Colonel Go! Kill the bastard" yelled Khadami, his eyes wrote fear - fear for their Colonel's safety, as he lay in the shattered ground defenceless and open.
"Halt!" Barrone raised his arm, the soldiers looked at the old man in confusion.
"Sir! this is the third time you protected that kid...you have grown a fool!!! go go go I'll take full responsibility in this." yelled Khadami a loyal soldier, who panicked in the sight of their fallen Colonel, now felt the need to do whatever he must for an assist.
"I said halt you fools! That beast can be stopped but not from us." yelled Barrone, his eyes befalls Sako, the latter seemed unwilling, why should she help who once abused his power on her?, a thought which ran in her mind.
But then she realized, as she saw Lu who looked more and more like a beast out for blood, 'what if, I hugged the master... I'll get a free hug again and what if he regained his senses plus Lucy will see us.. it's a win win win.' she thought.
"Kay!!! but this ASSASSIN won't be working here.... no more." said Sako.
"What's that about talking like master?" said Szlick - being sarcastic.
Their expression didn't share the same look of dread as the rest, much to Lucy's wonder - Sako and Szlick were calm, not a mind for the circumstance which would follow if Lu killed Mustang.
"Hurry up then!!!" yelled Khadami - on egde.
Sako then straightened her arms down, and with a release of her palms, green gas poured out like mists - in a straight line, it reached Lu in a matter of seconds.
A simple hug to stop the madness, just hearing it is laughable but a child and his tendency for unpredictable feelings - which is very much in random, deeply rooted in probability. A hug seemed probable to calm his bloodlust.
