TWO DAYS LATER
HOSPITAL
After two days of Damsel's operation and delivery, she was finally going to be discharged today. Stephen dropped by the market to get some groceries before getting to the hospital.
" Hey, honey, are you ready?", Stephen called from the door, approaching her.
" Yeah, what took you so long?"
" Sorry dear, I had to pass by the market for some stuff. Hope I'm forgiven?", he replied, caressing her cheeks.
" Hmm...., why not? You know I can never get mad at you for any reason", she responded with a chuckle, hugging him.
" hum...., can we come in now, our dear love birds", a voice called from the entrance, drawing their attention.
"Mum..!, Dad!, you finally came to see us...", Damsel exclaimed cheerfully.
" Yes, honey. ", Kristella replied with a smile.
" I thought you were never going to come"
" Why will we do that? You know we love you so much and will never treat you like that",George exclaimed.
"We are so sorry for coming this late. There was an emergency at your uncle's place so we had to rush there. Hope you understand ", he explained, hugging her.
" Welcome, sir.....", Stephen greeted with a bow.
" Hi, son, congratulations and thanks for taking good care of our daughter... "
" Is always my pleasure, sir"
" Honey, I heard you'll be discharged today so your dad and I dropped by to see you. Have this", Kristella stated, handling over a bag to her.
" Thanks so much, mum...", she replied, glancing through the bag.
" Look here ,Tiana, grandmum bought you some clothing ", she added happily, turning towards the baby's cot.
" Hope you like it?"
" I love it , mum. Thank you...", she uttered, hugging her.
"Hey, I can see the whole family is already here for your discharge", Laura uttered, gliding towards them.
" Um, yes doctor....", Stephen replied.
" Thank you doctor for the good work you did", George added.
" Don't mention sir, its always our duty.( Turns to Damsel), I'm so happy you've recovered so fast but I'll still advice you to take some rest when you get home, okay"
" Alright, doctor, I sure will."
" Don't worry doctor, we are all here to make sure she does," Kristella replied.
" Okay, here are your discharge document. I'll leave now..."
" Thank you...."
Stephen took the documents and Laura trod out of the ward
THE WALTER'S MANSION
Leyla was busy in the kitchen with Tatiana in her cot beside her when Daniel strolled in upstairs.
" Hi, honey, how was your night....", he uttered, hugging her from behind with a kiss on her cheek.
" Great and yours", she answered, turning towards him.
"Same dear and hey, how is our little angel doing?", he exclaimed, approaching the cot.
" She is doing just fine...."
Daniel carried her in his arms and strolled around in the kitchen, playfully with her. Leyla sat on the chair by the table, smiling as she watch them, cheerfully. Just then, Daniel's phone rang.
" Honey, your phone is ringing.... "
" okay I'm coming", he cried as he laid Tatiana back in her cot.
"daddy is coming, okay", he added playfully and rushed back to Leyla.
" Here you are", Leyla uttered with a smile, handling over the phone to him.
" Oh, is from the office. I need to rush off now", he explained, dashing out of the house as he attend to the call.
"See you later, honey and take care....",she called behind him and turned back to her chores.
Just then, her phone started ringing. She turned to the table and picked up the phone.
" Hey, Dora, what's up with you?"
" Fine dear. Come over to the restaurant now. Prisca and I are here, waiting for you..."
" Hey, what are you guys up to...?", she queried cheerfully.
" Is a surprise,just come over, okay..."
" Alright, I'll be there in a bit....", she replied and hanged up.
" Hey, baby, we've got a place to go.....", she stated, rushed into the room and changed. She hurriedly dashed out of the house with Tatiana.
A black car was packed at a distance with someone spying out at them.
Leyla dropped the baby at the back seat and strolled to the drivers side and sped off.
" Follow her. Make sure she doesn't see us", a voice called from the back seat of the black car.
" Okay, ma....", the driver answered and sped off behind her.
