Chapter 1 - Prologue

Is this for real, or is it just my imagination?

There is a guy who seemed to be foreign. He looked like an actor. He stood before me and I wonder why.

He looks rich.

I pinched myself and got reminded that it wasn't a dream.

'But maybe I am just dreaming again...'

'This is too good to be true.'

There was no guard in sight, not even his friend or whosoever.

We stared at each other and every time a second passed, I felt my heart beat loudly in my chest—as if wanting to come out.

He got close to me, just two steps apart... then his face went closer to mine.

'Oh my god... this is it.'

Then...

I got licked.

'Huh? What? Licked?'

I opened my eyes and I woke up, my lips slobbered with Caramel's saliva. She is my half poodle, half shih-tzu dog, with a tint of caramel on its fur.

"Caramel, you silly dog... I almost kissed you!"

I held her in my hand then he smiled, letting its tongue out, acting as he did nothing wrong.

I let out a sigh.

'Dream on, Starr.'

I was relieved by the fact that I didn't open my mouth. Even though I washed Caramel a few moments ago and even had him vaccines, I was still disgusted by the fact that our saliva may be mixed.

'YUCK!'

I opened the curtain of my one and only window to allow sunlight in my room.

'It's just another day...'
