The night definitely dragged on differently, as did the remainder of the previous day. After what had felt like the entire world had turned against him, Vukan found himself anticipating things turning around for a change. After all, the day was no ordinary day; it was his birthday and often times. It ended well.
He rolled and tossed in bed anxiously, wondering and pondering hard on what would come or what he was most likely going to get. His mother had the habit of making his best meal before he got out of bed, and came to serve him in his room with some cakes to feast off before the day would even begin properly.
A smile slowly rolled across his face ad he clenched his fists nervously while trying to remain underneath the sheets. It was his day and everything ought to go accordingly, or at least, he expected them to.
