Vukan awakened to the sign of the two figures standing by his bed. By their stance and the manner in which they continued to look down on him, he could only guess they had been there for quite some time. His mother assumed a spot to his side, while his father dragged a chair for himself without further delay.
"This is neat," Vukan noted, trying his best not to come off as rude or unreceptive of their decision to come into his room unannounced.
It wasn't something they had done before and he was more than eager to find out why they were there and what they were doing. He sat himself up and took the moment to look at his parents keenly. Neither of them seemed interested in speaking.
"So?" he asked, stressing his word as long as possible.
