Hana was an original Requiem warrior having been born from the inside of Almighty, carved out and placed unto this Earth, for her absolute total purpose was to kill demons and every single one of the creatures in this world that dared to threaten her and her children, not only them, but for the pupils she raised. But she stood behind, as everyone else stepped forward into the smoke near the beginning of the battle, the Master stood, gliding her palm over her body and deciding to press it against her chest. Ensuring that none of them went to search for her, she hid her unique presence so none of them could… intrude on this reunion.
Eyes closed, hands over her front, one hand cupped over the back of the other in front of her waist, she upturned a brow… there it was again. She wasn't mistaken, she was chosen, to be 'graced' by His presence. What more could she do for someone so Holy, though? Then greet them so graciously, as the clouds started to subside to her rear, His robed figure became clear. The same as her, He held His arms behind His back, however not afraid to show the coloration of His pupils, the Allfather was there, on this damned battlefield,
"I thought you that trick, didn't I, daughter? That of which… to hide your soul's uniqueness, never let the enemy find you. Because if they ever did, then, without a shadow of a doubt: they'd kill you, without hesitation," As Almighty recalled the training both He and Hana underwent together with the latter woman learning under Him… of all the people in this world, God Himself,
"Back then, I believed you, because of you… you were the only one who'd ever shown me kindness, in this world," Hana went back to her past, flashing before her eyes, the Author couldn't help but nod, remembering when she was but a mortal; a human.
In Ancient Japan, after the Ancient War between the Demons and the Angels, there laid an important woman. A descendant of a poor family, the young girl was named Hana Saiai. Her first name meaning flower and the other being the Romaji for beloved, so, literally, her name was beloved flower. Ironically, however, the world around her did not always treat her as wonderfully as this name of hers, for she was born in a time of inequality. Gender roles and expectations forced down the throats of women, such as her… parents abandoning her, her father leaving before she was even born, her mother by his side, she never even had any siblings to rely on.
Her parents had simply abandoned her while she was sleeping in her room, ran away because the pressure of taking care of a child such as her was too much to bear. Of course, a young girl, 6 at the time, she could never live there on her own, so she took the remaining food in the house, placed it in a bag, and left… to the deepest depths of the nearby Mountains. Unluckily for her, the way she snuck out, left trails in the snow, and being as twisted as humans are, when they went to raid this abandoned house, they went out the back to find those footprints and followed after her to take her as their own.
In this time, a cabin took residence in the nearby woods, to where a nice family took Hana in as their own, and treated her well enough, to call her their daughter. It didn't even take a week for them to die while she hit in a basket, their blood decorating the walls and their organs strewn about, bodies sliced open, even the children weren't spared, for the murderers only wanted one thing. And that was their 'prize,' how truly revolting. They didn't take long to find her, lifting the lid to this basket, branding his ax, he reached out his arms, ridden with the gore of the surrogate family that'd treated her with kindness, that had adopted her.
What more was there to do? She couldn't even let out a sob, no tears even dripped out the corners of her lids, she just stared right up at the monster above her, devoid of any emotions in her eyes. Just as she was about to be taken off to wherever these monsters lived, the one above her disintegrated in the most beautiful way imaginable. His foot-stomping on the worm where the monster previously stood, He looked inside of the basket to find the young Hana, destined by fate to be a warrior beyond time. The aura this… man gave off, it was so kind and warm, His wonderful smile as He looked down at her, truly, He seemed like the only good thing in this world.
She went with her, trusting her intuition, to where she was taken to the past of the world. Trained by Uraku after being injected with his blood, she became a Requiem warrior able to utilize the Peace of Mind technique and create her techniques beyond the base one. She made friends, allies, lovers, and she even went on to have children of her own with someone she cared for very much… unfortunately, however, that same person was sent out onto the battlefield of the Ancient War between the Demons and the Angels. Not only did Uraku go but all of his siblings went as well, including their mother, who she didn't even know existed until this point. Nevertheless, while all of them fought, she was commanded to stay back considering she was the strongest, she needed only to be used in a worst-case scenario… which, it turned out, had already occurred.
She did not bear witness to it, but she remembered watching from the Heavens as it happened. The Allfather rid the battlefield of all the demons, Satan had escaped with Rahab in tow, and Lucifer had been trapped within a special key designed by Almighty to be his eternal prison. Cursed to the Kingdom's universe, all that remained was the deal between the Angels and the demons which He had to honor, seeing as how it was beyond the naked eyes of Hana, she was unable to witness the truth that day. That the earth she watched as the Prince of Hell was trapped within the Key was not the same as the one before, but another copy, seeing as how the original one before that had already been destroyed. For Hana, it was more like… censorship, but without the television, instead, it was real life being blurred before her very eyes.
Seeing as how the army of Requiems was nearly endless, Warriors taken from each point throughout history to aid in this battle, the remaining ones stood with Hana to watch the chaos unfold in the final battle between Above and Below. Unfortunately for them, Almighty came out victorious, and that meant the Purge that He'd promised His fallen son… the complete and total Obliteration of the Requiem species. All of her brothers, her sisters, every one of the remaining had been instantly killed in front of her eyes. It was fate, but because she was standing behind Him, she managed to escape the horrific sight, into the future itself.
She never knew why as she spent years in 2056, going through every possibility, to know why it happened, why she lived and why she was so powerless to stop the deaths of all those cared about, why she abandoned her children- but now she knew.
Skidding the soles of her shoes around so she could face Him in the present, Hana charged up her fist bringing it closer to her chest, pinkish aura flowing out from the center shape belonging to her soul, the symbol of a flower appeared behind her, the Master readying to battle the Supreme Almighty God of this world,
"Are you sure you want to do this, my daughter? You know you'll die, that I won't take it easy on you… don't you?" The way He spoke right then and there, not even revealing His true form she saw all those years ago, just staying in that humanoid facade. Even if she was below His true power, as long as she did this right here and now,
"I know, more than anyone. I know. But…" As the future flashed before her eyes for the final time and her life leading up to this beyond that, she smiled, "I have no regrets."
Back in the present time, Azazel leaped from behind the Chaos, branding his sword and everything, blackened blade shining against the sun itself, he prepared to simply slide through the back of the zombie's skull. A tendril swirling out from the crown of his head, grabbing at his throat, Karlo choked on the air he was steadily breathing, noticing Ryder on the ground holding his daughter in his cybernetic hand. Using just enough energy to launch her forward like a cannonball, Nyarlathotep slammed the Detective into the ground to create a miniature crater, watching as Rosalyn aimed her legs toward his frontal body.
It seemed like she was going for a mid-air dropkick, luckily enough, he knew the exact way to counter something like that; and that was with her very own older brother. The tendril still around his throat, he slid Azzy's unconscious body right from the ground skidding it upward aiming it right at Rosey's aiming at the Chaos. Utilizing some of her quick intellect, she grunted, whispering an apology under her breath, she stuck out her hand so a sonic blast would hit him back to the ground so he could tumble across the ground near Jason and Alex heading towards the Karlos.
Another tendril sneaking out of Nyarlathotep's chest, he grabbed at Rose's throat tanking her closer, aiming his infilled right at her chest then smashing the side of her face so she could go right at Ryder. Even then, with her skull shattered, he didn't falter, instead, he disappeared just right when she was about to hit his still frame. Just then, emerging from his world of stopped time, he reappeared to the side of the Chaos' head, kicking at the left so his head would turn to the right- and then slamming that foot down onto his shoulder.
Throwing himself into the air after stabilizing himself, he raised his cybernetic hand infusing the tips of his fingers with just enough Takyr so he could throw a huge bolt of it right down into Nyarlathotep. Easily, with demonic energy, it had decomposed the being from within… disintegrating, Ryder fell onto his knees, trying to catch his breath. Wiping some of the blood from his lip with his pale hand, Jason ran up to him, Alex running right over to Rose for a second so the two of them could finally reunite together.
Meanwhile, Ryder and Jason met together for a second, the latter of which reaching out his hand so the pseudo-cyborg could get something to lean on. Standing up straight, he felt his back crack, moaning suddenly at the feeling, Ry chuckled momentarily, remembering how ironic this date was, leading Jason to curiously turn a brow up,
"What a birthday, huh?" Asked the Moon jokingly, to which the Hunter nodded for a second letting out a chuckle as if agreeing with him with that notion, arms over his chest.
Done sheathing his sword, he watched as Alex helped heal his best friend as she held onto him with her head in his lap. All that was left was Azazel, who had slowly begun to wake up, rubbing his hand against the side of his head, he coughed and rubbed his throat,
"Hey! You okay?" Inquired his father worriedly, reaching out his hand so he could help up Azzy, to which the hand was swatted away, the Detective standing up on his own,
"Fine… I just had a weird short dream. Does anyone know where Hana is?" Questioned Azazel to the rest of them, to which not even Jason or Ryder could come up with an actual answer to that inquiry.
It seemed that everyone had gone about the normal ways of the beginning of this Advent while forgetting about Hana, maybe an internal feeling that she went to aid Uraku, which was funny considering Jay, Madi, and she was on the same squad. How could they have forgotten her?
"We should probably go and find her-" Suggested Jason as he cracked his neck so that aching feeling in the back of his bones would subside,
"Wait! Is that her?" Alex, having heard the rest to them, was simply able to make out the sight of a female-bodied silhouette in the distance.
Tending to Rosey, he was unable to intervene unlike the other three, Jason placing his hand on Ryder's shoulder so the both of them could speed on over whilst Azazel just flew with his wing to get an overhead shot of the whole situation. With this, at least… he could confirm whether or not this was what he thought it was.
The first ones there were Jay and Ry, of course, the latter of which hitting away from the grip of Hunter's hand on his shoulder… running ahead- before being stunned by what appeared. In front of his eyes, laid nicely on her back, without a right arm, a right leg, the stomach was torn open, intestines spewed out on each side of her decaying body. And yet, still, with her face half-burnt, she couldn't help but smile, barely alive, unable to have the strength to even turn her head to meet their eye lines as Ryder inched a bit closer toward her. Death was all around her, but she didn't even care, for the legacy of the future was being kept rightfully intact, just as she'd hoped.
The brother of the Requiem Emperor stood there, beckoning him to her weakly, the clap of his name led to him inching closer, kneeling so she could at least take her remaining hand in his own. Just before she passed on, her weakened vocals bellowed out from inside of her throat, just to reach his ears, she spoke to not only him but to everyone here. Jason kneeling to the left of her, Ryder on his knees some distance behind him, and Azazel standing up to the rears of them both, just barely in view…
"Don't stress about this, or worry, or feel powerless, like your brother. I was supposed to die back then, it's just… Time caught up to me. I had a good run, b-but…. But all in all, this is my end. I don't have much time left so… please, listen to me. No matter how disheartened you feel by your weakness or powerlessness, stand proud. Keep moving forward and slashing on through everything and anything to achieve your greatest heights. Jason, Ryder, Azazel, Kristina, Rosalyn, Alexander, Augustus, Madisyn, Benjamin… I believe in you all. End this nightmare once and for all. And when you reach him, tell our father… it was an honor being blessed with his blood," As those last words of hers had entered the world around her, from beneath her body, there grew a field of grass and flowers.
The skeletons beneath this dry land were buried deeper, the beauty of nature sprouting out from inside their bony skulls, Hana's blood had already been dried. Before any of them even got here, she'd been dead, and the second she entered this future, her life was as good as over. The life subsided from inside of her eyes right then and there, the light around her soul faded, and her breathing permanently stopped. White robe tainted by her blood, Jason did final respect, and closed her eyelids over her pupils… at the very least, she died with a smile on her face, content with the life she lived, with no regrets of the way she lived it forward.
She could never have happiness, not fully, the life she lived was full of torment and hardship, families leaving her, dying, and being killed. That was all she was, a shadow of death that brought nothing but destruction wherever she went. In the future; she trained and prepared them all, they were grateful to her for the skills they learned. So as long as she did good in this world of chaos and evil, as long as the rightful legacy she left behind was preserved, and the defeat of those monsters was assured, that they'd without a doubt, be defeated, she was satisfied with the life she lived. It was, righteously, a proper death.
Hana Saiai, Beloved Requiem Master, was the first causality at the hands of the Almighty Allfather during the Advent of Destruction on July 22nd, 2059.
