Chapter 1 - Stop bugging me...

"This was not the best cafe in the states, perhaps not even among the best in this region, and not many people came here."

"But we shouldn't have been here, we can visit other places with a reputable image and not a place like this one."

"My dear you need not worry because we're here now, we can't go back. Perhaps, this was destiny that we would find ourselves in such a place."

"Please let's go to another cafeteria, I really can't stand the unpleasant odor wafting into my nostrils, I will faint if I stay here a minute longer."

"Young Lady, I've already told you, we won't leave this place, this is what we could afford right now. it would be best for you if you start making yourself comfortable with the environment and stop bugging me with your silly complaints before I would lose my cool. Behave yourself!" said a woman with an angry face to the young lady who was incessantly complaining about the cafe.

She didn't spare her a glance as she ordered her favorite espresso macchiato and sipped on it slowly as she waited for her son to join them. Sophia, who couldn't stand her mother's scolding, stood up and left for the restroom leaving her mother all alone at the table.

Mrs. Olivia, on the other hand, was annoyed by her daughter's rude behavior, she couldn't do anything other than to watch her silhouette slowly disappear into the restroom.

After some minutes, she took out her cell phone from her purse and dialed a number when the latter picked, she spoke with an angry voice,

"what's keeping you, why haven't you been able to make it to the cafe? You had better suspend whatever it was that's holding you and bring yourself here before I would change things for you and your sister."

"Mom, sorry for keeping you waiting I'll be on my way right away." the latter said. He has completely forgotten about his meeting with his mother, he was currently in a brothel when his mother called.

Mrs. Olivia who was aggravated hung up on the latter apoplectically.

This wasn't what she had planned for the day, to be rudely insulted by her children.

She was losing her cool at that moment. How could she have given birth to ungrateful kids? Here she was trying her best to give them a good future by working herself out whilst the people she's doing all that for don't even care.

She waited for a while, as she was about to leave, came her son, whom she has been waiting for. And her daughter who discretely left the cafe with an excuse of going to the restroom returned when she saw her brother making his way into the cafe.

Both of them went in together and were graced by their mother's enraged face.

She couldn't bear the insult of being rudely neglected by her kids, she stood up, took her purse, paid the bills, and left the cafe without uttering a word at them.

The duo was standing as they watched her leave and were dumbfounded by their mother's sudden outburst, it's so unlike her because she seldom gets mad at them regardless of what the situation was.

They hurriedly followed her after exchanging looks.

But before they could catch up with her, she was already in her car at the packing garage seating on the driver's seat. She stretched out her two left fingers and massaged her temples.

As she heard her children call out to her, she slots the car keys in, starts the car, and drove past them at a very high speed, she almost bumped into a trashcan nearby. This frightened them.

Right now, Sophia and her brother are seating on needles, they don't know how to appease their mother.

She turned to her brother with mixed emotions on her face and says, "Simon, for mum to be so upset with us means that what she wanted to tell us was very crucial. How do we pacify her?"

"How would I know, we hardly see her this upset I am not familiar with ways to deal with such situations. And..." He was cut off by her,

"But we have to do something. We quickly have to find a way or anything that could appease her because we can't go home like this," she says as she could sense the danger that awaits them at home.

"Yes, that's true we will be taking a risk if we go home now." He crossed his arms against his chest while looking for a way to deal with the subject at hand.

A few minutes later, the duo was still in the garage. They kept thinking of a way to quench their mother's rage while wandering in the cafe's parking space.

Suddenly with sparkling eyes and a smile, Simon looked in his sister's direction and says, "I think I know of a way to appease mum."

Sophia who couldn't wait any longer trods towards him and asked in anticipation, "what are you waiting for? spill it out already."

She was elated that they were able to discover a way to soothe their angry mother.

He grinned, "You know mum hates Annabel so much to an extent her presence annoys her." he said. She nodded in an agreement and he continued,

"Mum, is on her way home, and there's no one at home except Annabel," he said with a satisfied smile on his face. "If we could wait for some minutes longer before leaving for home. she would take out her frustration on the poor girl." he made a pity face that made her giggle. All of a sudden they both burst into laughter.

At Mr. Fazer's residence,

Mrs. Olivia drove into her residence, packed the car, stepped out and stormed into the house with boiling rage, and accidentally bumped into a young lady, the clothes the lady was carrying fell onto the floor at the woman's feet.

She immediately bent down to gather them in her arms once again but before she could do so, she was mercilessly kicked by Mrs. Olivia which made her lose balance and fall. After the fall she managed to get on her two feet and with teary eyes, she humbly apologized to her. But it wasn't enough to calm the wolf down.

As she was apologizing, a sound echoed in the living room, which made the young lady cup her left cheek. Mrs. Olivia decided to unleash her aggression on her, the poor girl kept mute and endured it all. She was accustomed to such hostility. she only left when she was asked to leave.
