Jade's brows instinctively creased, not in his least imagination expecting Kalisa at the hospital.
"What are you doing here?" he muttered as if on an impulse.
"Well, hmm..." Kalisa grumbled, swiftly casting a glance at the door with her hand slightly pointing to it then back to Jade– totally lost on words. "Actually, I. I was.."
"Don't tell me you were stalking me." Jade snapped, cutting Kalisa off before she could even think of an excuse though none was even coming. But the former quickly denounced it.
"I came for a check-up and happen to see you here." She said, trying to stay composed so her demeanor syncs with her words. "Is that your mother?" she quickly chipped in – with the motivation to change the topic and if possible; form an alliance.
