The Demon Noble was able to sense that the shield it created was damaged. However, that was not the main thing that was bothering Zagan. It was with regards to what type of damage that the shield had sustained.
'Soon, those four layers will be rendered useless. We cannot reinforce it because of the effects of the spell that attacked it. I'm not entirely familiar with this spell, but I only know four beings who are in possession of this. This is not the sort of spell that can be wielded just by anyone. Two of those are Caim and Sitri. But, I know for a fact that they're within the pillar, so unless the pillar itself was damaged, they're not the perpetrators. The other two are Flauros and Paimon.'
