Chapter 15 - The perfect outfit

"I don't get how I should dress up for the occasion, this is a friendly outing and – "I was about to whine again when I was shoved again in a chair and stuff by french-fries.

I was shuffling in my place as I felt another cold breeze pass and I shiver, "What kind of dress are you putting me in? It's so cold and – "I stopped when I was stuff again with fries.

"Anaya Moore, the dress looks good you babe, it's the cold weather you know how it is, but I did put you in a pretty pink floral dress and a 5 cm light pink heels, and don't worry you know you'll be fantastic, and Liz will be doing your hair." I heard Yura said and I couldn't argue with that.

I will forgive them for being brutal with my french-fries.

"Hun… I will stuff you with fries again, Nana, do you really believe someone, a boy would only say it's a 'friendly outing' without any intention?" I heard Yura asked, but I roll my eyes.

Yes, I do believe that two people from opposite genders can have lunch together without having to call it a date, don't other people use to do it? Or was listening to an e-book I download wrong.

"Nana, if someone as hot as Nicholas White asked you out, I wouldn't want to call it just a 'simple friendly outing' that's like an insult," Yura laugh," I mean have you seen the guy, he's like the campus' number one hottie, and I still don't understand how you don't like him at all, or at least have a crush?"

Yura then tightens the back straps of my dress, earning a yelp from me.

"I mean have you seen the guy?"

I grumble again; they should really be considerate, "Yes, well, I would have said he was hot if I can see."

Liz could only laugh on my sarcasm.

"Where are you meeting him, Nana?" Liz softly asked me, "Are you guys meeting somewhere?"

"He said he was picking me up, and I gave him my address –" I was not able to finish my sentences when we heard Yura groan and a sudden thud.

"Nana, hun, are you still believing the guy's words when –" another thud resonates – "okay, now you can't possibly think that this is a friendly outing, he's picking you up nana, like a date, nana you can't convince me this isn't one, a guy just don't pick a girl up if he's not interested."

That when it hit me, was it something unusual for a guy to pick girls up from their home as friends?

"But I saw a lot of them –"

"Nana, listen all you have to do is follow our lead, you want to impress Nicholas, don't you?" I heard Yura asked. It was a tempting offer, and my stomach couldn't help itself as it started to feel weird.

The sound of his name being someone I can call mine was weird, again I have never been in love, and I don't actually believe in them. But why was my whole body reacting to his name?

I can still remember his velvety sound and his boyish laugh, gosh if only I could see how he's like.

I was snapped out of my daze as Liz was shaking my hands, "Hello? Nana to earth, you alright there? Almost lost you for a second."

"Yeah- yeah I'm okay… so I'm listening." I couldn't help to feel a wide grin on both of the girls face.

I hope it goes well.

"Well, don't you look fancy," We sat in one of the busiest Café's in the town, Nicholas had suggested that we go as he picked me up. Took him almost half an hour of Dad's intensive glare and questioning before he left off the hook.

Please bring her back in one piece, or he'll not guarantee Nicholas will be returned to his parents in one piece.

'Is it too much?" I quietly asked him, "I can always change back and – "

"Anaya Moore, please you look lovely, it doesn't matter what you wear, and you don't have to change if you don't want to if you're comfortable that is?"

I couldn't help to feel a blush creeping its way to my cheeks as I recall his words, lovely. I was itching a bit with the lace fabric of the dress; what kind of dress did the girls dress me up with?

It was itching, but I want to make a good impression, and I want him to like me as a friend first, I hope I don't mess things up.

"I'm alright! I really liked the dress when I had touched it and asked the girls for an opinion too." I nervously said, " they told me it was the perfect dress to be wearing, a change right?"

Nicholas was suddenly quiet before he clears his throat, "Right a change, well, if you're okay with what your wearing, then it's okay… let's go."

It was suddenly quiet again, and silence took over the whole ride, was something wrong?

"Hey is something wrong?" I asked him.

"No... no! it's nothing is just it's going to be chilly…" Oh… I didn't hear today's weather forecast, I had Liz and Yura fixed my make-up, and it took the whole day, so I had no time to remember to bring a coat.

We stopped, and I can hear him unbuckling his seatbelts, and I did mine too as we both got out of the car, he holds the door of the car, and I thank him before steeping outside, and he was right.

The chilling air was something, and it was a bit inconvenient to be wearing a dress, I didn't know I was shivering until I felt someone draping like what it seems like a jacket to my shoulders.

"I told you it's cold use my jacket to cover you up," I thank him and we went inside.

We were welcomed by the warm place and I could feel it was going to be a successful friendly outing
