"If you have something to say to me, tell me" encouraged Mikołaj without looking up from the papers.

"What? I ... I don't, it's nothing ... " Seweryn, clearly confused, replied

"As you like, but you probably know that you don't have to be afraid of me. I'm not some mean boss, though ... Anyway, if I were you, I'd be keeping my mouth shut as well. Being careful isn't bad when you're new. On the other hand, if you are afraid to say what you think, you will seemingly have peace, but then you may blame yourself for being silent."

Skrzynecki glanced at his new subordinate. Seweryn was in this company for over a month and he was probably used to all his other colleagues, but not to his immediate boss. It must have been quite a difficult situation for him. Pretty bizarre.
