Back in the cell, Jonah asks Thomas...
"Are you following my story?" Jonah asked.
"Yes Sir, please continue..." Thomas answered.
Thomas looks at him as he's about to write.
"Where was I?" Jonah asked.
Thomas reads his notes.
"You were at... Junior was at the bar looking out for the cop chasing him," he said.
"Ah I see, so Junior was at the bar when Ivan's shift was already done...
'We go back to the story as we immerse ourselves again on Jonah's thoughts...'
Ivan puts down his drink and says...
"I have to go, my shift's done," he said.
"What? but the cop Ivan, he's gonna..." Junior looks around and goes near Ivan.
"He's gonna fucking kill me man, you gotta help me out here," he said.
"Listen, if you stay here nothings gonna happen to you alright?" Ivan said. "No one would dare enter this place and cause a racket."
Junior nods to Ivan as he leaves and closes the door.
He stayed at the club until night time, people already coming in as he goes to the VIP area. Waiting to see Santino, but he never showed that night as he tried to call him again as his phone won't turn on anymore. He looks down below from the crowd, all wearing casual or party clothing, area looking for the cop as a lot of people were coming in, it was already packed.
There he was, the cop, wearing a brown overcoat looking at Junior as Junior didn't see him at all because there were so many people. The cop went up to the VIP area and knocked on the door. Junior was startled and opened the door thinking it might be Tony Santino. But it was the cop, looking at him as he flinched and begged.
"Please don't kill me," he said.
"Don't worry I won't kill you, you gotta understand that what you saw was a misunderstanding," the cop said.
"You killed one of your own," Junior said.
"What? no, I'm not a cop anymore he wasn't he just got the costume from when someone was chasing him the other night that's all," the cop said. "This is a costume too, got it while I was running from him at the store, tried to disguise myself."
"But the badge," Junior pointed and said.
"Oh, this? this was from him, gotta be prepared you know," the cop said.
"You got a name sir?" Junior asked.
"It's not important, I just wanted to talk to you that everything was just a misunderstanding alright?" the cop pleaded.
"Ok, can I go home now?" Junior asked.
The cop stares at Junior in suspicion he might sell him out to the real cops.
"Let me walk you home," said the cop.
"Ok, but no guns," Junior said.
The cop nods and puts his gun down on the table.
"Ok," he said.
Junior stands up and waits...
"You go out first," he said.
"Listen punk, don't you toy with me," the cop said.
"I'm not I promise, see no weapons," Junior gladly raising his hands up.
"Alright, let's go," the cop said as he walks towards the opened door looking back at Junior as Junior follows him from behind after he picks up his phone from the floor. The gun isn't already there, only one of them has it as they join the crowd downstairs. Junior runs again as a clear path was given to him at that moment. The cop tries to chase him but was already blocked by the crowd.
"Excuse me, excuse me, hey!" the cop shouted.
Junior went outside through the VIP exit as no one was guarding it. He runs for his life. He eventually gets a cab and went back to his place.
'Why would he go back?' the voice of Thomas.
'He's just a kid you know, he doesn't know any shit about crime.' Jonah said in his voice.
So as he went back, he notices his door was slightly opened as the knob was loose. On the other side of the wall, the cop was there waiting with a pipe on his hands. He was waiting to strike as Junior silently making his way inside his room as the door slightly opened. Junior peeks and quickly guards as the cop wacks his left hand. Junior falls flat on the floor and kicks the door when the cop was gonna jump at him, he hits him on his knee as shouts and retreats back against the TV. Junior is still dizzy on the floor trying to stand. The cop is crippled and rushes to wack Junior...
"You piece of shit," he said.
The cop lands a hit on Junior's body, blow by blow by blow, and he stops as his knee gave up. Then BOOM! a bullet through his head, the cop falls down as Junior with a gun on his hand killed him. When Junior stood up he shoots him some more and stops. Everything's silent as he hears something he looked out his window. An older man sees him with scattered blood on his face and on the window glass... he stares in suspicion.
'And that was the end of it.' Jonah said with his voice as we get out of the picture now and back to reality.
"Wait what does this have to do with the organization?" Thomas asked.
"You didn't get it did you?" Jonah asked. "Everything the spider does is build a web over and over to survive, by catching our prey."
"Wasn't the title of your story the disappearance of Junior?" Thomas asked.
"There are a lot of Juniors living in the world Thomas, they disappear into the day and they will reappear by night," Jonah answered.
Jonah stands.
"Your government also does the same, they're the web, capitalism is the spider, and you are its prey," Jonah said.
Thomas stands and retreats slowly to the door.
"So you are Junior?" he asked.
"Oh no, I am who I claim to be, that story was just a wild goose-chase" Jonah answered.
"So where is he now?" Thomas asked.
"When you came in here did you happen to catch the name of the guard guarding that door?" Jonah asked.
"No, I didn't," Thomas answered.
Jonah laughed at him.
"Please Sir I'm just a journalist," Thomas pleaded.
The door opens as the guard is standing by. Thomas looks at his nametag as it stitched as Junior.
"You see Thomas, I hate journalists especially from the times, always messing up the people with your dreaded conceit," Jonah said.
The glass slides down as Jonah approaches Thomas as he's already pissing his pants, sweating his ass off, and cries.
"We are the league of spiders and you are our prey," Junior and Jonah said in unison.
"No, please nooo!" Thomas shouted.
In a CCTV's view, Thomas was strangled to death by Jonah's bare hands as he shouts in agony until he fell quiet and breath no more. They escaped.
Some hot-ass detective, caucasian blonde, wearing a brown overcoat with a badge on her belt and wearing blue gloves, views the CCTV footage a day after with other cops, male and female on their regular uniforms.
"I need all of the footage from the other cameras," the detective asked.
She takes out her phone from her pocket and takes a picture of the CCTV controller.
"That was all there is detective," a cop said.
"What?!" she asked out loud.
"The other drives were burned and deleted," he said.
The detective looking angry as she makes a fist and crushes her phone.
