the talk they had lifted dejun up more than he expected; there was just something about liu yangyang that actually managed to help him again.
last time he felt like this was in elementary school when yangyang was still as nice as a little flower.
"he still has that impact on me, huh?" dejun smiled to himself as he, once again, put on a mask for everyone's happiness.
yangyang sighed for the umpteenth time yet it was only 8am. who can blame him? he hates everything he saw and everyone around him.
almost all of these fuckers care not for others so why bother making friends?
"liu~ yangyang~" dejun singsonged as he skipped to the direction yangyang was walking through. "what do you want?"
"damn, you're cold~!" xiao dejun whined, making other students look at them. yangyang just kept his head down while dejun cheerfully greeted everyone who returned the favour with a squeal or a smile.
but even with these people to distract dejun, the boy still had his mind set on making yangyang let go of the mean demeanour he developed.
"cold-hearted my ass; you're just too nice for your own good."

"doesn't it hurt?! doesn't it hurt to lie all the time?" yangyang yelled, pinning dejun to a wall while the small one allowed genuine tears to fall from his eyes.
he nodded, laughing while stifling a sob. "it hurts, so what? so what if it hurts? everyone hates my ass anyway... and you're here to torment me, right?"
they were at a stage where dejun's character underwent the stage of giving up; something dejun has yet to encounter. "if you're gonna hurt me, hurt me right."
yangyang's eyes were getting blinded by tears and the onslaught of painful emotions he saw from xiao dejun.
admittedly, yangyang genuinely wanted this character in the past because it meant tormenting xiao dejun without anybody getting mad because it's just acting.
"grip his collar as soon as he says that, yangyang. after that, give him what seems like a punch." the directress instructed, making yangyang comply.
but as soon as yangyang was about to throw a punch, a few students ran into the gymnasium looking like there's someone who just died.
"ma'am! come with us, t-the principal!" "the principal needs you, quick!" the directress then stood up, yelling for everyone to stop and rest before she ran off with the students.
"t-that hurts, yangyang." dejun mumbled softly, sniffling as he wiped his tears. "it really hurts."
yangyang just stared back, sighing as he nodded. "does it look like i can do something? no, right?"
"you can always smile at me, liu yangyang."
